Sorry for all my questions, but I've got another one. :goodvibes
Can 2 TS credits be exchanged for the lunch with an imagineer, or is it strictly a non-dining plan meal?
Thanks! :flower3:

I don't know the answer, but I can comment about the lunch with an Imagineer experience. My son (12 and hopes to work as an engineer or imagineer) was really looking forward to the experience in '07. DH took him. The imagineer was nice, but he allowed the other 6 adults in the group to monopolize the conversation. They kept talking about dining at all the parks they had been to around the world (I don't recall the imagineer's specialty, but it sure wasn't dining) and it was mostly about listening to the guests try to out do aeach other as to how much Disney knowledge they had and not much about what that particular imagineer knew or did.

This meal is out-of-pocket only, and a credit card is required to hold your reservation. You may leave the charge on the card, or you may instead pay cash at the lunch, but there is no way to use your ddp credits for it.
We've been twice, with a semipleasant one and a fantastic one. It is all about having an idea of what you want to take from it as much as what the imagineer does to inspire the group. Asking open-ended questions about his/her background, path to disney imagineering, favorite projects (whether they worked on them or just know people who did).... and yes, we had some monopolizers on both lunches, but a little assertive subject-changing can usually tone it down and swing the conversation back to the whole group rather than one or two rude-ish people. "Well I think it's simply fascinating that you can name all of the colorists who worked on Snow White, but I am just dying to know more from our host about...." :ssst:
