Patty, Thanks for all the kind words. I have been enjoying all the planning/projects. I plan on using the black ears on the hat ( dh and DDs all prefer the black ears- I think they actually turned out better than the white ones) and adding some bling to the veil.

We have made some decisions about specific venues. we def want the wedding pavilion and most likely the whitehall room/patio. we want a DP party( I love Wishes, but Dh and DDs love Fantasmic-its runs a close second for me) called DFTW with preliminary info. We have pretty much narrowed resorts for our room block down after talking with family. time line for site visit/questions( though we know what venues we want ) and tentative date range for PS will work!!! ( I am excited about this- it means disney next year in Dec. for DDs birthday too!) though nothing is def. everything looks like it will fall in place!:goodvibes I am still working on a few special projects and will post in future..... thanks for reading.:goodvibes

Another disbride inspired me today to look for something unique for our VR . We did a unity candle when we got married and we want to include our dds in a special part of the ceremony ( not a candle though) so I thought ok a sand ceremony, but that still didn't seem to fit. We do collect sand on all our various trips - we have bottles of sand mix from grand canyon to maine to florida , the outer banks and back again. The sand part fit ,but the idea of a container of sand was just missing something, so I did some looking online and found a neat site where you can get an hourglass and then add the different colored sands( one for each of us-DH, me and each DD) to the hourglass. The sample ceremony reads
"for centuries, the hourglass has been considered an enduring symbol of the passage of time, so its is appropriate that this hourglass represents the renewal of your vows and your lives as a family"
I liked that part! I am so excited! Some of the sets really aren't that much more than some of the sand ceremony sets I have seen( if you want to spend lots you can...) so I think we have found our fit. I know it is still basically a sand ceremony and sand in a container but I liked the idea of the "Time" part represented by the hourglass... now just deciding which one to order. here is a pic of one of the hourglasses offered. this is actually the wedding day one. the next thing will be to decide on sand colors. If we use birthstones it would be two white, a red and a blue so I am not sure on that, may have to explore other color options....:goodvibes

I think I even figured out a song.... "candle on the water" just didn't seem to fit since we will be using sand(though I love the song) ,but will have to wait and talk to DFTW down the line. The song I have in mind is a disney song, so I figure we will be able to use it or at least part of it( its sort of long).... still working on a few new/special projects here and there. Worked on my dress yesterday some while turkey cooked. Did decide to ask niece to hand out our programs-a "greeter" , so made her a card with a poem inside like the fg cards will give it to her in the late spring. We aren't having a fg or rb. Well I have been working on a few different projects. My latest is a basket for our programs.:goodvibes after looking several places, I found one I liked. It was a plain natural colored basket at the dollar store, so painted it white, added some shimmer paint , gold ribbon and shiny mickey heads . I plan on lining the inside with white cloth. We are starting to consider reception venues, until recently I hadn't given that much thought. From the pictures we have seen, we liked the looks of the whitehall patio/room combo and have been leaning towards that site. after some additional research, and talking with disney another option for a group of our "estimated" size would be the Napa room. My biggest concern there is the menu since you have to use the CG menu. We have never eaten at the CG. I have looked at the menus but I am still unsure. We have several young children in our guest count too. I imagine the view is amazing from there. I have seen some pictures. Any insight would be appreciated.Thanks for reading.:goodvibes

Lots of details have been figured out and have given our venue choices to Disney! Pam has been awesome! :goodvibes I am SO EXCITED about them all! The venues we have selected are the Wedding Pavillion, the Napa Room of the CG and the Rue de France(french arm) for our DP. Our chosen dates and times have noted too! :woohoo: I can't say enough about how helpful and patient Pam has been with me. I have asked a million questions and she is always so quick and pleasant to answer each one. Now its just waiting..... I have so many ideas going through my head, esp. about the DP. The venues bring different parts of our vision together as well as tie in bits of our life together, i.e. we stayed at the contemporary on our hm etc.
we also have made a decision regarding an officiant for our ceremony and have made contact. sorry for rambling... thanks for reading. more to come!

I had made a special cards one asking my niece ( she will be 10)to be our greeter- handing out our mickey fan programs and the other asking my nephew( he will be 11) to be an usher/greeter. We included the cards with their holiday gifts. Today before they opened their gifts , I told them there was a card inside they needed to open first with their parents. After reading the card, they both were excited and agreed! Since we won't be having many guests other than family it is really just to make it more special/exciting for them, but it was nice to see them excited! so we now have a greeter and an usher.
I got minnie bride ears and the disney wedding cd as gifts from DH!:goodvibes

Now that we will have an usher(nephew) and greeter(niece)... I have been designing a special t shirt for each of them. we always have family tshirts for our trips. My idea for the usher with help from the disign board (thanks a million!) is a picture of mickey as Indiana jones with his name and the words written like the movie title and WDW 2010. For my niece, our greeter she will hand out the programs ,I found a clipart design of ariel w/school of fish , added wavy word art with her name with "WDW 2010" I like them, I hope they do too! I have been working on a few ideas for our DP party. I found some great bags on xmas clearance for .35 each for the DP and they were the right size too! I really liked them as soon as I saw them! they are an antique/brushed gold foil with gold cording handles and a chocolate brown satin ribbon( which dress them up- but may change /add some more color though. ). I have added a special label I made to go along with a quasi-theme idea I have in the works. I Actually made a to do list too! I have been picking up some odds and ends for our bear necessities bags. I also found silk rose petals to use. Have been playing with some hair style ideas again.... that is def an area that needs work. Thanks for reading more to come! :goodvibes

here are the T shirts I made one for niece who will hand out our programs, our greeter that reads "I have all the details. I'm the Greeter" with Ariel design and her name and one for my nephew(mickey as Indiana jones) who will be an usher ( the disign board helped with this one) that reads "follow my lead I'm the usher" with his name.

The bags I plan on using for the DP/favors are a gold foil and came with the brown chocolate ribbon, I added the red ribbon for more color along with the glitter star tag. I really loved the bags when I saw them and for 35 cents each I couldn't pass them up. I added the label...

well since we plan on using movies as our reception tables I have decided to carry that theme through out different parts of our VR: i.e. the VR ceremony, the reception and then the dp party etc. Alot of the projects I have been working on revolve around different movies for different events. I don't want to spill too much because I have some guests(my DDs) that stop in now and again and I want there to be some surprises;) .....
the DP favors include a light up spinning mickey(one per family) and then LED glow necklaces for everyone

OK looking at linens for receptionI used the link from DFTW that has been posted will have approx 5 tables including sweetheart table. Each table will have a movie theme with a coordinating linen color and then coordinating centerpiece, table card and escort cards for guests. the colors I am looking at for each table are:

Haven't posted because not much happening. Just waiting.... anyway I have started working on a disney like calendar for our guests to countdown to their vacation/our VR I am starting in dec 2009 and running thru 12/2010- just to cover the whole year.I making one calendar per family. This is will be a xmas gift. Another disbride did this too! I am adding family birthdays , holidays with clipart etc and then of course I will add the VR events-when we confirm our date . It looks pretty good wasn't sure how I was going to hold together but did figure that out. Other than that, I have a few ideas in the works for some special/extra events while at wdw. I personalized the cover of the calendar for each family.i.e. "________ family 2010 walt disney world vacation countdown calendar" in disney font with pic of M/M and castle." I just used a report cover with a clear front to hold it together.:goodvibes

Here are a couple of pics from the calendars I am working on- they aren't done but almost- just little details left. when making them, I picked a pic for each month that sort of "fit" the month added a quote/saying and then added family b-days (used the same pic and then added bday name underneath on date) and holidays etc. I will add VR information/events once date is confirmed along with planning info/important dates etc. Each cover is personalized with same design but with family name/ name in disney front. I plan on adding a shiny tinkerbelle punch out with shiny multi colored stars to the cover to tie into our magically ever after theme. Plan on giving out at Xmas. the calendars begin in 12/ 2009 - 12/2010. thanks for reading more to come....:goodvibes

I have been trying to decide how to "dress up" our wrapped favors. We are using the lenox M/M ears- I personalized for each guest. I have the wrapped the box in glitter star tissue and added a castle with M/M ears tag to front. I found some "fireworks" bows on sale and decided to add those to the top of each box. The fireworks bows are all different colors . I snipped the loops to make the ends open.There is shiny gold ribbon around the sides. I may add a shiny tinkerbelle punch out above the castle too. Not too much going on- I have a few things in the works. I Did decide I want to do a bridal tea for the ladies attending our VR. Plan on inviting all ( which is only 10) so not too many and who ever attends does. I am planning on the garden view tea room at the GF. I would like the tea to be the day before the ceremony. I want to get a favor for the tea. I saw some very pretty folding hand fans that have pressed flowers on them that I liked and thought then the ladies could also use for them for VR too, as well as the Mickey program fans. I am still undecided on about ordering the fans, though.
I found a cute wristlet purse for me. I have finished up most of the "vacation countdown calendars" aside from adding VR event dates, but getting closer to being able to do that! Thanks for reading more to come:goodvibes

I am still deciding about the fans with the pressed flowers, but in the mean time I found a DIY fan template that I am going to try.... one side has a floral design on it and then the other side would have tea trivia/info( sort of like a program- history of ladies tea, meaning of flowers and language of fan movements etc....) with our VR guests being mostly family, we will have kiddos ranging in in age from just under three to mid teens so I decided to help keep everyone occupied I would do activity bags for each guest table versus each kiddo. I plan on having coloring books/ pages, maybe a small book from dollar store as well as crayons and dollar store mickey mouse /disney card games( fish, snap, old maid crazy eights type). I found some bags similar to the color of the table linens I want, added a table tag and will add guests names later...I may have one extra table set up where they kiddos can do the activities rather than where they will eat. more to come . thanks for reading

Really not much happening. Just waiting for that year mark. Did talk to some of the ladies about the tea party and they were excited, which was nice to hear. My DDs are getting excited to look for dresses, our plan is to begin looking in june. I have finalized our std cards with magnets I made so once we can confirm our date they are ready to go. I am working on guest welcome folders. I am also making up small folders for the nieces and nephew, that will be our greeters and guest book attendant just to make it a little more special for them. ok I haven't posted too much about my ideas for the reception. we plan on just using ipod for music with just first dance , cake cutting and then just background music. I plan on having the activity bags for each table with some word searches, coloring pages , crayons. a disney card game and quasi scavenger hunt with questions like find "whose birthday is in november" or "who likes to read?" etc. creating interaction between the guests. I have made a themed bag for each table.

I also asked our WC about having a caricature artist. I thought this would be a nice fit since we are using movies as our table themes and I wanted something fun. WE can have one artist for 3 hours!!!! I am so EXCITED about this! we love doing the animation at DHS.

I also plan on having Goofy(as a surprise), he is DH favorite character:goodvibes Thats all for now...more to come:goodvibes

Our countdown is 1 year-1 month-1 day today!:banana:
For our dance we plan on using Keep on loving you and for our cake cutting Be our guest, I am hoping we can arrive at the reception have our dance and then do a staged cake cutting for pics (would love for Randy to get these pictures) then eat rather than eating first and then the cake cuttng. Other than that aren't planning on alot of dancing, maybe our DDs are?! I do want the song I had the time of my life( from dirty dancing) played at the end though. we have some other songs we really want played too. I am working on creating an playlist for an IPOD . we will see.....

Here is my first attempt at a DIY menu mock up, just to try and get an idea of spacing. I have seen blue card stock with stars on it for scrap booking that I want to try as the background but only had the plain blue now.... I am going to try and "dress" it up some,,,more to come

I found some cute earrings for my dds, made some tags for the childrens activity bags. Here is the front of the tag on the back side is a verse about the items inside are for them to use and have fun.

I looked there first but found these then on ebay. I loved the parasol you had :goodvibes I plan on giving them to the girls after the tea party. I may get a few plain colored ones(no floral design) for the other tea guests too. I plan on using a mary poppins/garden theme for the tea party.

The parasols arrived and I love them:love:! they were listed as made of silk, not sure they are but they are pretty. I think they will look great in pics on and off the beach.

DDs and I started to look at BM dresses, we went to davids bridal and they each found a few to try on. right now the favorite color choices are serene and pool . They each found a style they like but we are going to look more before deciding on anything...more to come

In other updates... I ordered a pink parasol for my niece who will be our greeter and hand out our programs. I decided to make her a rose wand, even though she won't be walking down the aisle I want to include her in pics with my girls/DDs on the beach and I think she should have some flowers too. She is an only child and loves spending time with my DDs. I plan on asking her to wear a light pink to pick up on the floral accents in my dress and then will add some of the flowers I use for her rose wand to my bouquet to combine the colors....more to come. felt better about it. really though everything fell into place so easy with the switch- its kind of freaky!
four days .....I can hardly wait... I touched base with wc(pam) today, Found a dress shirt for dh for ceremony on sale and the actually found the dress my oldest dd wants to wear in correct size and color on ebay for half price of what it would be at davids bridal!!!:cool1:I was more than happy, figure when I am buying two any savings helps!!!!

My newest project is an aisle runner did up mock up on butcher paper to take along so If I get to see WP I can see if I like the color comb.

Samantha, Hi! Thanks... I have been trying to decide if I wanted a runner for a while, I " borrowed" the design from another dis bride and decided to try. I tried different fonts and sizes( I am going to make the date bigger, to make it easier to paint and use a finer brush) and was happy with the mock up. Ok I haven't posted much but our site visit was awesome! Pam (WC) was great! we got to the WP:cool1: right before a ceremony so it was quick but still got to see it, then we went to the Napa room and WE LOVED IT! Then we went to epcot and saw oour dp venue. afterwards we went back to francks and looked at a cake book while pam got us our letter of agreement and other things-menus ) etc. I will post some misc pic....

I told him, I had parasols to use for the beach pictures like you had , He said several brides have used them since you! He suggested we get sunglasses matching the parasol colors to use too....WE :love: loved the napa room, neither of us had ever been in it before . In all honestly, it was not one of our first choices but Pam (WC) suggested it so I figured we would see what we thought and I am glad we did. The french arm is straight in from the back stage entrance in france. It is on the morocco side. If you turn around you would look back at the fountain. It is a pretty venue!

That's pretty cool that other brides are using the parasols, they really are so cool in pictures. I love the sunglass idea! I really wish that I would have had some sunglasses for all the groomsmen because they all had them but 1 of the guys.

Hi Adelia, I am excited about getting a planner and hopefully we can get our PS scheduled in Dec! Randy was really easy to work with. I am glad we got to meet with him now and not just the day of the ceremony , more for my sake than anything because he knows what and how to do what he does well.

I will be having a bridal tea the day before our ceremony at the garden view tea room, I asked the disigners on the creative board for a std type of disign for my Mary Poppins themed bridal tea(jolly holiday) I wanted to the share the disign that was made! I have decided to indulge myself on a whim, I have talked with impressions and decided to order some personalized napkins for the reception(I know I don't need them, but I want them) they forwarded me some designs and I found one I really like. It is the castle in one corner with carriage in opposite and star like design on sides with our names and date in the middle....I plan on ordering royal blue with gold foil imprint -not a very good description sorry....I was originally going to order some for the dp but figured no one would really see them there. more to come.:goodvibes

Hi joanna, thanks for reading:goodvibes..... I couldn't decide on favors for my tea, but wanted something. I know other brides have used those little tea cup candles which are cute but wanted something different so was I bouncing around looking and saw vista prints was having a sale on personalized mugs. so I chose a simple design added text and done.....here is a picture. nothing fancy but plan on wrapping them up somehow and adding tea packets etc. I figure everyone can use a mug . I ordered one for everyone. more to come!

not really much to update.... just waiting anxiousily for Dec PS. trying to figure out songs for ceremony especially BM(our DDs) processional. I also asked my friend to do a reading at the ceremony.we added one more guest so we are at 25 total.:goodvibes

ok I haven't posted too much about my ideas for the reception. we plan on just using ipod for music with just first dance , cake cutting and then just background music. I plan on having the activity bags for each table with some word searches, coloring pages , crayons. a disney card game and quasi scavenger hunt with questions like find "whose birthday is in november" or "who likes to read?" etc. creating interaction between the guests. I have made a themed bag for each table.

I also asked our WC about having a caricature artist. I thought this would be a nice fit since we are using movies as our table themes and I wanted something fun. WE can have one artist for 3 hours!!!! I am so EXCITED about this! we love doing the animation at DHS.

Here is the image I used for the luggage tags( a designers from the creative boards made it) I added the family name and then on back added individual name info. ,WDW 2010 printed them out on card stock and then laminated.I had a few different images on backs.They came out cute! more pics to come

other updates.... to go along with the mugs for the bridal I plan on adding a packet of tea to each mug so here is the image for the tea packets for in the mugs made on the dis design board. A individual tea packet fit perfectly inside.... I added Walt Disney World to the back side and Bridal Tea on top flap.

here is one of the window designs for the VR guests..... I added family name and 2010 to bottom. again I printed out on card stock and laminated so can sit in window or use a suction cup to hold up....not a window cling but easy! Again thank you to the creative board for the design!
