December 2008 VWL Groupies Meet, Territory Lounge [Archive] - The DIS Discussion Forums

I just wanted to say that I am proposing that Monday and Wednesday evenings be setup for VWL groupies to meet in the Territory Lounge at 8 pm during December 2008. We shall secretly take over the joint, I mean establishment. :thumbsup2

Feel free to post here if you will able to attend and if so, which evening.

Edited to say let's just make it any night at 8pm, Territory Lounge.

Looks like there is not as much interest in folks signing up, so let me just say that there will be an open house on Monday and Friday, 8 pm, at Territory Lounge during the month of December.

Come on in; get pot luck on who you meet!

Love to meet some fellow Dis'ers at the Territory Lounge, but, our dates aren't firm yet (we usually visit in early December or early January) because our youngest (19) is planning to apply for the College Program for Spring semester 09 and won't be interviewing until late Sept or early Oct 08 so we're going to have to wing it and hope we can book something once he hears if he's been accepted or not since that will be the deciding factor as to when we'll be there ......we'll drive down with him and all his stuff for whatever date he needs to be there, stay for another 5 or 6 days and then DH and I will fly home.

We set up a meet on our last cruise, but only a few of us got to meet because there were a lot of people at the meeting place.

Hmm, good question. And you know the definition of a good question. It's a question I don't know the answer to. Perhaps we could wear something which distinguishes us from the other barflys. :)

I know what you mean. I just finished up my day-by-day ressies this Saturday, so I can relax a while and forget about VWL...

Suggestion.

The first DIS'er there purchase one of those character totem poles with the curly note holder and put a DIS sign on it. Tell the bartender to store it. The first DIS'er there grab the totem pole with sign.

What do you think? Bad idea?

Oh my gosh. That was so much fun. I just opened up my TUG calendar and went to Dec 2009 to see what would be a good week! Thank you for the prod! I think that we will probably be going that week also. WooHoo. :cool1: :santa:

Crystal ball somewhat hazy as I plan about a year and a half in advance. I do know that the stars aligned well for a 2008 December visit. Translation: I teach part time and it worked out well for 2008.

However, let me take a look into the crystal ball one more time....

It doesn't look good semester wise for 2009 due to when labor day occurs. But I might be able to squeeze 5 nights in before the semester is over. :thumbsup2
