My crinny and my gloves came in yesterday!
Here is the box they came in:
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/pink_tink8i8/misc001.jpg
As soon as I took the crinny out of the bag, this is the size it "blew up" to be:
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/pink_tink8i8/misc005.jpg
I was dying laughing because the thing popped up like a tent. Now, I don't know how to collapse the darn thing so it is now living on a chair in my living room.
Here are the gloves that I am NOT impressed with:
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/pink_tink8i8/misc002.jpg
1. The company that I used from ebay, not impressed with
2. Their shipping charge was over the top
3. Very unorganized
They are not really what I wanted. I wanted opera gloves. Those aren't opera gloves and what is with that hideous bow on the top of them? That wasn't in the listing! To boot, they had 2 yellow stains on them and 3-4 snags in the material. I emailed them to tell them and they asked for pictures! Like I'm a big liar or something. Whatever.
Here's me in the dress with them on:
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/pink_tink8i8/misc013.jpg
Here's me checking out if my shoes look cute with the dress on:
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/pink_tink8i8/misc010.jpg
My birdcage and fascinator,I'll probably change this 6 times or so though
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/pink_tink8i8/misc023.jpg
This one I'm just throwing in. This was from last night at a dinner party. My cousin's cat whom is not allowed on the piano, she let on the piano because ironically his name is Beethoven

Yeah, I would definitely see if they will take those gloves back. The bow on them makes them look sort of cheap (sorry!) and if they aren't as advertised then you shouldn't have to own them! And STAINED?!? EW!!!!!!!!

The shoes look really good with the dress. That sucks about the gloves! Stains and snags? Were you buying new ones? I love the way gloves look so you have to get a new set! Good luck sorting that out!

No, no I totally agree with the cheapness of the gloves as well. They would be cute if I were 8 and making my first communion or something but not for my wedding. I'd totally cut those off BUT they should have said so in the description of the ad.
I'm sorry about your gloves but I love your dress and shoes. They go together very well.
Thank you so much! Your siggie pictures are GORGEOUS! Is that your MOH in the back helping you with your dress?

Thanks about the shoes. As far as the crinnie - no idea what is going to happen with that! I think worse case scenario I can remove the hoops and fold the crinnie. The ebay person emailed me to say they shipped a new pair of gloves

LOL, I'll probably end up doing the same thing!

Thank you :goodvibes Apparently you can buy a bleach for the shoes, so I could totally dye them black afterwards (and you could too ;)) The shoes are called "applause" in white satin by Stuart Weitzman if you would like the same pair. You can get them from any high end department store or even on the web like zappos.com. HTH :)

I wasn't sure about the shoes on their own...but after seeing the picture of the shoes with the dress...SOLD. Totally adorable. And if you dyed them pink...they have the potential to reach an unbelievable level of adorableness. ::yes::
The gloves...I agree with you and everyone else. Not too impressive, especially when shown right next to the dress. I hope you are able to return them and get your money back!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I totally agree. At first I was thinking...meh..as I said there was another pair I liked more. Since they were the last pair in my size and on sale my mom suggested to get them, try them on with the dress and see if they were comfortable.

I know, I'm disappointed. I contacted the seller and they are sending me another pair INSTEAD :furious: I thin I'm going to cut that hideous bow thing and give them to my MOH and she can dye then pale yellow to match her dress

My mom come over to my house today for lunch. First she walks into my entrance and sees the massive crinnie on the chair and she's like, "um...I hope that isn't staying there. Can't you put it back into the box?" so I showed her the box and she :rotfl2: Then I show her the hideous gloves. I hand them to her and she says, "OMG they are beautiful" I say, "um are we looking at the same gloves? look at the bows!!!!" then she responded "EW!!!!!!!send them back!" :rotfl:
Anyway, here are some random pics of some of the new things that I got:
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/pink_tink8i8/ohanainvites.jpg
Rehearsal dinner invites for O'Hanas. I was originally going to do flipflop invites but I got these at the dollarstore so that solved that
I was at wal-mart the other day and I saw this
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/pink_tink8i8/shower008.jpg
It is actually a pj set. The bottoms are boy shorts.
I got my FG shoes today. They are supposed to be pink but they only had one of the sizes so I got them both in white and if I see them elsewhere I'll exchange them.
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/pink_tink8i8/FGshoes001.jpg

I am very excited about my veil! The woman who is making it is the nicest person ever. She really listened to what I wanted and she keeps emailing me to say that she hopes that I like it. I got the girls those shoes because I have them too and I thought it would be cute. They were on sale because it was bogo at payless.

Great invites!
Thanks, I thought they were pretty cute for $1.

It's actually a funny story about how I got those pjs. First off I need to start by saying that my dad is the most impatient person in the world and hates shopping but he, my mom and I went to wal-mart to buy my brother mario kart for wii. Anyway, my dad gets fed up and goes to the car and lets us know that he won't wait for us forever but my mom and I wanted to shop a bit. We literally ran in wal-mart to the cash and grabbed things off the racks as we went. It was really funny

DON'T TAKE YOUR CRINNIE OUT WHATEVER YOU DO! :rotfl2: you'll never get it back to it's original state. I know it's tempting because you want to try it on like I did. If you have the room to let it linger I say open it but if you don't want to end up like me and have your cat taking a liking to licking the thing and it taking up couch space then don't open it. I was thinking the same thing about the top. I'm so wearing it as a shirt!.

I just needed to post this because I'm super ecstatic!!!!!! I'm starting to talk about my PS!!!!!!!! I'm freaking out! I'm trying to convince DF to go before the 22nd because you can get the dining plan for free. Now I'm trying to sway my parents to take their vacation in Florida because they will drive down. I think this is the only way we'd be able to afford going. I was bummed because for awhile there it didn't even seen possible because DF and I have to pay our tuition soon. *fingers crossed*

I decided to bring the shoes back with the bows. I liked them but I wasn't in love with them and figured that I could find nice pink ones that I loved for the same price. I also returned my FG shoes because I wanted those to be pink also and couldn't find them at any Payless. I did find really cute pink ones at another place though. They are patent leather Mary-Jane type shoes with a bow. I bought folders and mickey mouse playing cards for the welcome bags. I got a hole punch and RSVP cards from Michael's. This past weekend was the first time I have ever set foot in Michael's! We don't have them in my province and we went to visit DF's family so I went there. That store is amazing!!!! Another update, we bumped up our guest list to 30 people. Finally, the biggest update of all, the hideous gloves. I've been emailing the ebay store that sold me them back and forth for about a week. Since I was away on vacation I couldn't send them pictures and they kept sending me emails saying they won't send me a new pair until I send them pictures. I sent pictures 2 days ago but they got sent back so I sent another email yesterday. I gave them a piece of my mind and told them that I wanted to be refunded.

I'm finally back to post. The past little while has been hectic around here. I was starting to get DIS withdrawal. First things first, I sent all the pictures to the glove people with a an email saying how I felt about them and their business and I got a refund and an apology letter :thumbsup2 My MOH came over yesterday and I showed her the gloves. I never noticed this, probably because I was horrified at the state they were in, but she noticed that the hideous bows were actually applied with a glue gun!!!!!! How hideous is that! I mean honestly. No wonder they didn't show the bows in the pictures. Nobody would buy them.

I have some new pictures of things that I have recently purchased. The first items are baby pink sating purses that my mom and got the other day. they don't look too pink in the picture though.

http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/pink_tink8i8/pics010.jpg
There was a mega sale at this particular store and we only paid $4.99 for each bag!!!!!!!
As we walked by another store a sale sign caught my eye so I went over and saw these invitations and I thought they'd be perfect for my bridal shower since they were pink and brown!
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/pink_tink8i8/pics013.jpg
and guess what, for 12 invitations and 12 envelopes the total cost was $1.00!!!!!!!! so I got 2 packages.

My aunt made a silk flower bouquet for my MOH and she dropped it off yesterday so I thought I'd post a picture since some of you liked the last bouquet she made. I also bought some princess wands for the flower girls. They have pink rhinestones on the butterflies at the top, feathers at the back, and clear rhinestones all the way down the wands. I also got a garter. I initially wasn't going to wear one but I got it at a blow out sale and paid $1 for it so I figured why not.

I have talking with DF recently and we have decided to postpone our wedding for the second time. The first time we postponed was due to a serious illness I had 2 years ago. Now it is because of a turn of events in our lives. We are moving out of province for DF's job in a couple of months. We have to move away, start a new job, start at a new school and get a new place to live all a couple of months before we had wanted to get married. We are now going to have an August 2010 wedding. I guess it will give me even more time to plan.

I made a few changes to the ceremony music that I want. I heard Aerosmith's "Don't want to miss a thing" the other day and I totally forgot how amazing that song is! Since I am having a string quartet I checked out the instrumental and it is equally amazing. Since my MaidOH and ManOH are HUGE AErosmith fans, they will be walking down the aisle to that. They were both super excited when I told them.

Well I think the wedding will take place as originally planned :yay: :yay: :yay:
I was talking to DF and we just really want to get married. We don't need extra frills, after all it is disney and it is quite magical on it's own! WE already have the money for the wedding, it was just all the rest of the stuff that we were worried
about: getting there, honeymoon, etc etc. I am going to keep going on with planning!
WOOHOO!!! Thats great news!! Cant wait to listen to all your plans :woohoo: And 'Dont want to miss a thing' is a great music choice, I fill up everytime I hear it - can be a very emotional song

Thanks girls! I'm very excited!!!!!
I bought purses for the FG yesterday. They were on sale at Payless for $11 each and I thought that the girls would get a kick out of them. I saw some disney princess make up and I'm going to fill the bags with them. The pink is a bit darker than the dresses but it's still pink so whatever

I just wanted to post a couple of pictures of the cake at a wedding that I went to about 3 weeks ago. They had an ocean theme and I just loved the cake and thought it would be perfect for anybody having an under the sea theme.
This cake was made by a woman who makes cakes for Celine Dion!!!!

For those of you who haven't yet called Disney and were wondering how it works, I thought I'd write what happens.
When you first call you get a preliminary person who asks you generic info. like what's the brides name and address and the groom's name and address. then they ask if they can send you info. then they ask what type of wedding you want: wishes or escape or couture or what and then they ask how many people you are planning to have. They also ask if you have seen the wishbook online and if you have any idea where you want your ceremony to take place. Then they let you know when a wedding coordinator will call you.

I tried on, I'd love to say bought the dress but I haven't done that yet, at a very small bridal store near my SIL's house. She bought her dress from there and I was with her and she had a great experience. The store is SUPER secretive with their dresses. All the tags come off so you don't know who the designer is. I guess since it's such a small store they try to make brides come back there to get their dress :confused3 You're not even allowed to take pictures in there AND especially not after you even purchased the dress. It's all a bit odd actually

We are now aiming for our DFTW to be 4/6/10! I should FINALLY be able to book everything and send my deposit right away so I don't loose the date again!
We have also decided that we are going to Disney for a vacation and our PS this December. Then we are taking a 3 day or so cruise. Hopefully a Disney one! :cheer2:
Also, we are back to a wishes! I cannot tell you how happy that makes me. Combined we have a pretty large immediate family and with the limitations of guest number with the escape wedding meant that we had to leave people out which makes it awkward because it's immediate family.
Location: We are going with the Italy courtyard!
Transportation: Cindy's Coach
Reception: White Hall Room GF or CG
Dessert Party: Probably UK
Rehearsal Dinner: OHanas
Welcome get together: Mickey's Back Yard BBQ
Disney Bachelorette: TBA
Disney Bachelor Party: TBA
At home reception: Canada - July or August 2010

Alright ladies, I need your help. Two things about my wedding have been on my mind for the past couple of days. I think anybody who has been reading my pj knows that I'm having a big fat pink wedding. I had agreed to have my MOH wear yellow instead of pink.
Here's the dress:
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/pink_tink8i8/MOH%20dress/disneystuff002-1.jpg
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/pink_tink8i8/MOH%20dress/disneystuff008-1.jpg
Now, the yellow is starting to bother me. My brother is my ManOH and that means he's going to have to coordinate with a yellow tie. I also figure that they are going to have yellow flowers.
I feel bad that my MOH already bought her dress. I was thinking of paying for a pink one. Is this bad? It seems like it is. I don't know what to do.

I love pink too!! But guess what? Pink looks great with yellow! :lmao: Why not coordinate her flowers so they are pink and her escort's accessories and flower are pink as well? If the yellow will look really out of place, then I say pay for a pink dress. But if you feel you can work it in, just surround her in pink!

I agree! I think pink looks great with yellow. I just found your PJ but I think it was on pg 36 there was a bouquet your aunt made... are you still planning to use that? I think it would look great with the dress! and will pull the pink in. Can you take a pic of the dress with those flowers for us and then that may help us decide for sure! The yellow dress is just lovely... do you know who the designer is? Why did you get the yellow dress in the first place? I've just read bits and pieces of your PJ so far but you definately seem to be a pink girl! I think you may be able to pull it off but if not... I say just buy a new dress if it's really going to bug you... and you can afford it:thumbsup2 .

See, that's why I was asking for input. I knew I was sounding a bit neurotic thinking everything had to MATCH. I guess as long as there is consistency throughout I'm sure it will be fine. I think surrounding her in pink is probably good. Thanks! :goodvibes

My MOH is sick right now but I think it would be a good idea to take pics of the dress with the flowers. The reason I agreed to a yellow dress in the first place is that my MOH has fire engine red hair and we felt it clashed with pink and I figured that yellow and pink went well together. It was a prom dress that she bought off the rack in a Canadian store called Le Chateau (which means, "the castle") hehehe.

I have to admit that I never wanted a flower girl or a ring bearer until my niece and nephew were born. I love them both very much and I couldn't imagine my wedding without them. Plus, they will be 18 and almost 24 months. How cute will that be having them toddle down the aisle together.
Here are the clothes I picked for them:
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/pink_tink8i8/f229_1-1.jpg
Instead of the bow tie he will have a pink satin tie

I absolutely love this dress but I'm also thinking of maybe having her go to bibbity bobbity boutique and having her dress like Aurora because it's still pink

OMG - I'm sitting here about to burst into "happy tears" over a convo I was having with DF. I was checking out Carrie's PassPorter's book and we got talking about ceremony sites. I'm obsessed with having our ceremony at the Italy Courtyard HOWEVER, there is A possibility that we have our ceremony at CINDERELLA'S CASTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!! :faint:

I think I came up with a solution to the MOH yellow dress. I was playing around with the "dress your wedding" thing on David's bridal website. Now that I have a visual of what it can look like I don't mind the yellow. This is the tiniest pic but I couldn't figure out have to save a larger one.

This past weekend I bought a snowglobe from the disney store and I absolutely love it! Vanessa (figmentfan) inspired me because she used disney snowglobes as her centerpieces at her wedding last year. I bought a Cinderella snowglobe that was 50% off and it had an additional 20% off because they music doesn't work. I have quite the collection of snowglobes and I have never really ever played the music to I figured it didn't really matter. I'm going to be using the globe on my place card table. The dome where prince charming is lights up. It's really pretty.

thats a lovely snow globe - i think i might use tthat idea too - because i dont want flower center pieces because all my family will be travelling from UK, so they cant take flowers back with them - and snow globes seem to be a great idea because they are a great gift too- and i will give each snow globe on each table to someone on that table. hehe

We had that exact snowglobe too! It was one of the ones at our head table. I was disappointed they forgot to turn on the ones that I had some of them even had blowers for the snow and I even bought all new batteries :headache: I was surprised how excited our guests got over the snowglobes; they really enjoyed watching them. That will be a great addition to your place card table. :cat: Your kitty is really cute; we are looking to adopt a calico from our shelter and are actually going there this weekend (My last kitty was a calico too.)

Well won't they have to ship them home? Last I knew, snowglobes can't go on an airplane. I could be wrong.

I'm going to be moving in a couple of months for DF's job so I've been going through stuff in order to get rid of it. I came across my second wedding dress that I bought. I just had to take it out of the dress bag and try it on. I absolutely love the dress. I completely forgot how nice it really was. Now I'm confused about which dress to wear. My 3rd dress has lots of bling and I love it too but my 2nd dress has a huge gorgeous train and luxurious fabric. It was a very expensive designer dress. Don't know what to do now.

After seeing my fake flower bouquet (the one I'm holding with my 2nd dress on) I just don't think it really goes. I decided on mainly hot pink roses but also with other shades of pink roses.

Yes, it was the veil that was made to match, I guess. It was on the model in the catalog with my dress, so I just ordered that one. The lace appliques on the veil match the ones on the dress.
And BTW...even though I'm biased, you look GREAT in dress #2. You can totally rock a strapless ball gown!

I got my shoes today!!!! I'm really excited because I thought the heel would be a lot higher but they are not so I can definitely wear them for awhile.

I just found out that my little 8 month old niece is in the hospital. My brother and SIL went ot England to visit family and my niece fell off a bed and is now in the hospital. She's hooked up to all kinds of stuff and they are doing tests. She won't eat or drink. It's so hard not to be able to go see her. We're all praying for her.

So sorry to hear about your niece. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Hoping for a speedy recovery.
And, because I believe that sometimes the best thing for distress, is distraction, I must also say that I LOVE your shoes! Seriously, you have me rethinking my color scheme, so that I could get them! :rotfl: Good taste!
