I was wondering where and what people have won. Can winners reply in the following format so we can all check it out? Maybe we can figure out "good" places to win!!!.
I won (insert dream) on (insert approximate date/ time ) at (insert location).
I'll start.
I won a dream fastpass on Sept 13 '07, 9:15 am at the exit of Splash Mountian in the Magic Kingdom.

We won "First Family to Board the Disney Magic" on Dec 15, 2007.
Yes, totally randomly we were picked out of the normal check-in line to be the first family to board the ship. While still in the terminal we first got to jump the entire line to check our kids in for the clubs and get our pagers, then we got to jump the entire line to have our pictures taken with Mickey AND Minnie (apparently the photo with BOTH characters was also part of the treat), then we got to hang out in the VIP lounge area at a specially reserved table before it was time to board. Then when it was time, they announced our name in the terminal and we were officially the first family to board the ship for that cruise. Nice way to start the week!!!

On Our trip in November we won twice and just missed out on a third time! We were a group of 3 women - ages 31 - 64 - so it's not just families with kids that win!
On Tues 11/13/07 we won dream fastpasses at MGM @Rock n Roller Coaster (exiting the movie room) around 9:30 AM. What a THRILL!!!!
On Thurs 11/15/07 we won dream Fastpasses at AK @ Expedition Everest when exiting the ride around 9:30 AM.
On Sun 11/18/07 we almost won dream fastpasses at AK @EE when exiting the ride at 9:30 AM. They only took the first (#) of people exiting from the car. Our 64 yo friend takes a bit longer to get out of the vehicle, so we all waited for her. Oh well. If you're exiting EE and see the left door closed, hustle inside!!!
It was fairly quiet in the parks and many fastpass machines were covered, but we were still thrilled to win!!! Our 64yo friend had no clue what she got until we used it on Star Tours which had a sizeable line at the time. She couldn't believe we could walk right by everyone!

We won dream ears on November 9th at 1:40 exiting the Safari at AK. We were the first ones off of the vehicle. Nobody else was stopped.
We also won dream FP's on June 2nd at 9:41 on TOT. That was great. The lights went off and when they came back on, there were 2 dream team cm's in the room. The entire room got passes.

Have seen a LOT, but never won...but I'll answer the questions...
A Dream Fastpass....is a lanyard that has a card on it that has tabs to pull off and use as FASTPASSES to every attraction that has a FASTPASS in that park for that day!
DreamEARS...ya'll correct me if I'm wrong....are the special silver mouse ears that say "Year of a Million Dreams" on them.
Since we are going again in 33 days...MAYBE we will get tapped this time!
:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

the dream ears are just ears that are blue that says "year of a million dreams" on the front of them.
The fastpass is a plastic card type thing on a lanyard that has tabs on the sides that you pull off for certain rides,I believe there were like 8 rides we could do for that park only.It kinda like a fastpass for the big attractions, only 1 tab per attraction.I mean you cant ride all day, just once. But it makes a great souvie too as it is on a lanyard.

On August 15th, 2007 around 10:15 AM my Dad and I along with everyone else in line won Dream Fast Passes at Disney MGM Studios, just before entering the vehicle on the Backlout Tour. As we were walking towards that area I noticed the Dream Team Cast Member so I thought I wondering what was going to happen? Anyway he told everyone to stop and made the announcement that we all had won the Dream Fast Passes, which was a total shock. So because I was just happy to win anything I was not disappointed when we did not win anything last month while we were at WDW. It would be great to win again, however because we won something before that is good enough for me and a moment I will never forget.

What are the rules for Cinderella Castle Suite? Can they only be won in Magic Kingdom? What time is checkin/checkout? How many does it sleep? Special perks? It can also be won at Epcot, Hollywood Studios and the Animal Kingdom. I don't know all the rules since my family and I have not won this prize, however I think I remember reading that the limit is 5 guests staying there. The only thing don't know is what time you need to leave there the next morning.

Hi there, sorry I am new here and I am confused. We are going to Disney in April and I certainly would not want to miss out on anything. Do I have to sign up for something to win or is it just random?
What is a "Dream Team Cast Member" and how do you spot one?
thanks for your help :)

thanks for your help :)All of the prizes they offer are given away at any random location at anytime which is determined by a computer. So you just got to be at the right place at the right time and usually a Dream Team Cast Member will come up to you and say you have won something.

Longtime lurker and this is my first post!:cool1:
We were given three dreams during our trip Dec 2-8. First, on Dec 5, a CM stopped DD7 and asked her which fairy wore green. She replied "Tinkerbell" and he gave her the Tink pins and told her to give one to her sister, DD5. BTW, this happened in MK right in front of the mansion.
Later that day, around 11, we were exiting Splash Mountain and were stopped right before the gift shop. Everyone was given lanyards.
Then, on Dec 7, DH was waiting w/ DD5 by Toontown around 9:15. A CM came by, picking up trash, and asked DD5 if she would like to be the first person to meet Goofy. Around 9:50 Goofy came out and grabbed both of my daughters and ran to Barnstormer. Pluto was waiting in front of the entrance and they all rode together. When they were done they all walked into another building and met up w/ Minnie for a private photo shoot w/ all three characters.
Needless to say, I doubt any other trip will ever compare! :)

My two daughters and I won Dream Fast Passes at Disney Hollywood Studios right before getting on ToT January 20 2008 at around 9:15 a.m. Right after rope drop. Unfortunately we only got to use a few of them because we had soccer that day! :( But still i was so excited to have won a dream!
I have won Dream Fastpasses in MK and AK 2x each. Its funny that I won them both in the same place and approxmiately the same time.
MK exit to Tom Sawyers Island around 11;15a in nov 06 and Nov 07
AK entrace holding area to Triacera Top Spin around 10a in Nov 06 and Nov 07.
I would love to find out if there any other times and places that may coincide in Epcot and DHS.

We won Dream FastPasses in Oct of '06 (about a week after the YOMD officially started) at approximately 10:20am entering the Conservation Station building through the front doors (under the huge mural). We were on the first or second train of the day going over to Conservation Station, since it opens a little later than the rest of DAK.

We won a VIP Safari at Animal Kingdom on Dinosaur at 12:15 pm on Jan. 14, 2008. My son was seated in row 2, seat 1. The prize included VIP viewing of the parade, VIP safari on a private vehicle (one that celebrities go on) with an animal specialist, and dinner at Tusker House. This was a new prize for 2008 and we were the first ones to win it. Since we had extra time before the safari, a very knowledgable CM (Beth) took our family to the front of whatever attraction we wanted to go on, had them announce that a special family was on the ride, took us behind the scenes of Dinosaur, and gave us great information on everything we wanted to know about AK and WDW. Some extras we received were autograph books and pens for all 5 of my kids, a disposable camera for my son, a pressed penny book for my daughter, and a container of small dinosaur figures for my two youngest. We were also given popcorn and pop during the parade. While every part of it was wonderful, we all agreed that having Beth take us around the park was one of the best parts. All the CMs we encountered were awesome and gave us such special treatment. My kids particularly liked Prince working over by the Harambe Fruit Market. He was teaching my kids how some Africans make clicking sounds when they talk. Very funny watching my kids try to talk that way. My son just turned 13 so he's kind of in that phase where he seems bored all the time. He could not stop smiling the whole afternoon and kept saying "this is the best day ever". It was the last day of our trip and what a great way to end it!

Our group won Dream Fastpasses on November 27th shortly after 9am while on line waiting to ride Soarin' at Epcot. And the Dream Team member who told us we won was the famous Elton!
A funny aside. When we got to the Land that morning, we got FP's for Soarin' for later and my friend suggested we go ride Living with the Land first but I insisted on going on Soarin' first (because it was my favorite ride). So when we got our Dream FP's, I didn't say it out loud but she acknowledged that it was a good thing we went with my idea instead of hers! :)

We went to Disneyland for our honeymoon 9/17/07-9/22/07 and we were quite lucky. Here is the rundown but I don't have exact times or dates:
1) One day we were walking towards Toon Town and a CM working a cart told us to walk through a pathway and pointed us there. Well we walked through and got Dream Fastpasses.
2) Another time We were walking past Pinnochio ride and I noticed the Dream Team at the end of the ride so DH and I hopped on and rode and got Dream Ears.
3) This isn't really part of YOMD but we were walking aimlessy around Fantasyland trying to figure out what to do when a CM came up to us and ask when we were married and asked if we wanted to do the Newlywed tour of Fantasyland. We said sure. We met her back along with another couple and got to ride all the Fantasyland ride by going through the back way. She then gave us a special pin that was part of YOMD.
We were so lucky on this trip but we live 20 mins from Disney World and never had a dream and we go quite often to the parks. Beleive me we try to scout them out and think of where they might be. Go figure!!

We won Dream Fastpasses at Disney's Hollywood Studios on 2/7/08. It was about 10 am and we went over to The Great Movie Ride. There was really no line and I even commented to my mother that it was empty in there! As I went into the "theatre" (the area where you wait before they let you into your vehicle and you watch little clips of old movies) there was the Dream Squad. I was so excited when I saw her pull 3 Dream Fastpasses out of her bag! She looked at us and said, "Congratulations, you just won a dream!" :cool1: :cool1:
I was hoping for the Dream Fastpasses.

:goodvibes We won a pair of ears by mailing in post cards and then we were chosen as family of the day outside of Crystal Palace where we had lunch ressies. It was such a nice treat to be greeted at the door by Pooh himself. Then we were treated to biscuits and honey(from his personal supply) my dd(9) and ds(6) thought it was something special. I was telling the casher about it, and she gave me the Dreams pins to get my grandson started on pin collecting.

We won 2 dreams on the first 2 days of our last trip in August-September during free dining 2007......
The first was not even inside the parks but out at the bus stop for POP at MK on the first day of our trip. We were getting off the bus from POP and a CM approached and told me I was the last princess of her shift and handed me a plastic ring and a paper fastpass good for 1 ride for the day for our party, they also took our picture to hang in the CM area with a polaroid and wrote our hometown on the bottom. We explained that we were actually heading over to TTC to get a lynx to seaworld so she said that was fine and dated the slip for the next day:) When we got over to the LYNX bus stop she walked by and replied hello princess Brandi and her royal court!! We used it the next day all day, they never took it at any of the rides they let us keep it to reuse all day, pretty cool!
The second was a private meet and greet with Cinderella and we were just walking out of lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern and we were approached and older DD's were asked what there favorite princess was....they said Cinderella and she radioed in and asked the FAIRY GODMOTHER if her Heiness had anytime in her schedule...we were given a time of 1:15 and it was magical...the last picture in my signature is part of the meet and greet.

Our family of four won dream fast-passes at AK in September in that room before you go on the dino ride. They closed the door and we all celebrated. It was approx. 10:30. We had just missed getting fast passes on the Great Movie Ride the day before. It was the train directly after ours. The Dream team was stepping onto the platform when we pulled away. Winning the dream the next day was awesome.

Back in late October 2006 (just after YMD started), we stayed at CSR with friends (4 adults total).
We got back to our room one afternoon, and a couple of CM's presented the Tink pins to me. (I haven't seen many people reporting dreams at the resorts, but it does happpen).
We also got a dream at Studios. We were about to exit Star Tours when the CM asked if anyone wanted to ride again right away. We four said YES and had the ride all to ourselves. Before starting our second ride, the CM chatted with us a bit and asked our names. At the end of our second ride, the CM presented us with a personalized certificate commemorating our "Return to Endor".
Little stuff, but fun and memorable.
We'll be back in April and December, hoping for more surprises.

Our family won dream fastpasses on Feb 27 around 11am exiting from Maelstrom (sp?) in Norway (epcot).:cool1:
I won the tinkerbell one to keep/one to give pins in hollywood studios..feb 28... can't remember the time... afternoon..from a photopass photographer who noticed my tinkerbell shirt. :tinker:
I don't know if this is a dream or a regular thing? We were family of the day at the garden grill on feb 25, we got glowy ice cubes and met the chef. it was cool anyway :)
A CM at capn jacks gave my girls glowing tinkerbells (usually you have to purchase a special drink to get them). I think that was just her being nice though :)

We have never won anything but on our last night in the World while waiting for the Spectromagic parade to begin my daughter and a CM we joking around with each for about 20 minutes or so and when she found out it was our first time in th World she gave my DD a pin and told my DD it was from Tinkerbell...well since Tinkerbell is her favorite character she was very excited and will not let anyone touch that pin...

On 9/9/07 we won Dream Fastpasses on the walkway to Mexico at Epcot. Elton handed them to us. I want to say it was around 11:30am.
On 9/10/07 we were selected as the family to start the Tiki room show. I want to say that is was around 4pm in the afternoon.

The ears came to us in Feb. 07 and we were at MK in early May '07.
Could you PM me the info on sending the postcards. I recently read about this, but can't for the life of me remember where.

We had a few small dreams.
We were picked as family of the day on 3/03/08 at the Garden Grill at 4:30. We got the flashing ice cubes for our drinks, we got to see the characters first and all at once. We got a free appetizer, ( a salad) and to try a new dish that is to be added to the menu this week. We also got to signe the family of the day book.
On 3/04/08 our DD was given a Toink pin. She was acutally offered another one the next day too, but she said she had one already.
We went to dinner at whispering Canyon and DD was given a princess sash made of stickers. LOL!
On 3/05/08 we went to Fort Wilderness for the hoop Dee doo show and DD was chosen to ring the bill to start the show and invite everyone in. She got a certificate for doing that.
On 3/06/08 we were chosen as family of the show for the playhouse Disney show (first show of the day) We got to go in first without waiting in line, and chose where we wanted to sit. DD also recieved a certificate for that and it was signed by several characters.

Our family won a small magical moment, but it was perfect for us. In September about 7:15 pm, our DS wanted to ride Dumbo! The wait was 60 minutes and we knew he wouldn't make it more than 20. A cast member was standing at the entrance and I asked her is 60 minutes was the real wait time and she said it was. Then she began talking to our son who doesn't talk to anyone outside of the family or long term friends, but she tried. She asked him if he had a pilot license, he shook his head and hid behind me. She told him that he was an honorary Dumbo Pilot and took us to the front of the line! We were stunned, I cried because this small moment was all we needed to make our day! We have the certificate and license put away for him to remember the moment!

Mickey and Minnie drove into the Mission: Space Courtyard in a Test Track car....Pluto and Goofy and Chip and Dale were all there. In October of 2007 my daughter was selected to "Welcome everyone" at the Voyage of the Little Mermaid. She loved it and got a special certificate. Later in the trip she also received the special Tink pin as well.
On 3/8/08 we were in the front of the line for turtle talk with crush when I saw the dream team there. I just assumed that they were going to be giving out fast passes. Boy was I wrong! We won the extra dream hour!!!!!!! I was so excitied. The funny thing is that we almost didn't go to Epcot on that day. It was so cold and windy that day that we almost switched parks and went to DHS instead. :scared1: Thank goodness we didn't because it was really great! Sure we were cold and freezing but it was so special and wonderful. They even had a dance party and my daughter was in her glory. Mickey and Minnie rode in on a test track vehicle! What a great night! :thumbsup2

we got ears in AK in the area where Stitch usually is, there is a section that you can look at ducks and flamingos and they were giving everyone passing through ears. My daughter was sleeping in the stroller with Grandma so they woulnd't give her any since "she" wasn't in the right place at the right time. The only weird thing was they told us we were a magical family and told us to follow them, but when they got into the open they all spread out and went different ways, leaving me thinking *** just happened. I thought for sure I was going to get something else but then my dream ended.
On a lighter note earlir in the day my daugher who is 3 was crying in the stroller because she was over tired and fighting with her brother, a cast nmember came up and gave her a minnie mouse pin for no reason at all.

I have to say I saw more YOMD cast members at AK.
Also When my kids were eating popsicles we sat down next to a family who was completing paperwork, although i couldn't tell what they won, it was something big. I don't know where they were in the park but it must have been someplace close by. The tables were by Yak & Yeti

We were at AK on the Pangini Forest Trail on 3/7 at about ohhh probably 10 or 11. My DNiece 11 was kind of glum even though she loves animals cause this was our 7th day in WDW and more walking was NOT appealing to her. A CM came up to us and whispered to her, catch up to that line of people, it's a magical moment (we were looking at the gorillas).
I had no idea what it was actually, the YOAMD had totally slipped my mind at that point and my niece didn't know much about it. I was thinking it was a CM doing animal handling. :) It was the Dream Team and they handed out the Dream Fast Passes. Then I had to answer a bunch of questions (from my niece) about what's Primeval Whirl and Dinosaur since I had purposefully avoided telling her about the rides since I didn't think they were really worth the time. She didn't like Dinosaur but she said Primeval Whirl was ok.
I had the Best Friends basket from Disney Florist (with Bambi and Thumper in it) sent to our room after our first full day at the park and put on the card from Mickey which they changed to "From Your Pals at Disney". She flipped out about that basket and said that was her most magical moment and that's when she felt she really was at Disney. I said maybe we had won it as part of YOAMD. :)
That was her most magical moment, getting the dream fast passes was her second.

Oh, I forgot....we also got to open Panchito's twice (the gift shop at CSR) since we were sitting on the fountain at 8am waiting for our shuttle to Seaworld (both days). They make a big deal of it, have a special key in a Mickey tin and play instruments. My niece got to use the key to open the metal gate and got a certificate.
Also, she got to blow the whistle on the train to Conservation Station and got a certificate for that too.
There were also times we were passed over for these kind of moments because we were 2 people and not a family of four....so if you're a family of four, wear matching shirts and be up at the front at rope drop.

Way back in 2006, we were chosen as family of the day at the rope drop for Epcot. My DD7 (at the time) was wearing a "My First time at Disney" pin, and caught the eye of a CM. Completely unexpected, but received fastpasses for all of the rides, VIP seating for fireworks, and the first ride of the day on Testtrack (twice actaully).

We won dream fastpasses at the MK around 11:00 as we were coming back from Tom Sawyer Island. They even gave one to dd2 - I insisted she did need one since she wasn't big enough for most of the fast pass attractions but they let her have it anyway.
We were exiting Snow White's Scary Adventures a couple of days later and my ds5 was crying becuase it scared him. A "manager looking" CM came over and asked him what he would like to ride. They escorted our entire group to the front of the line for Dumbo and gave dd2 a princess crown.

On our first trip to WDW in March we won:
VIP viewing of Wishes our first night in MK.
DD 5 also was chosen to be the princess at the Beauty and Beast musical in HS. Both DD 3 & 5 were albe to send personal messages to their favorite character from a shop in HS.
Then DH met his "prince charming" at Epcot when he met Steve Young. Finally our last night in the park I had an allergic reaction to something I ate and had to go to the first aid center - it was during the P&PP- for Benadryl, well Cpt. Jack Sparrow was there ( he was not out in the park b/c it was raining) and the entire family got our pictures with him.
When we got back I worry our next trip might not live up to this one.

We had both a dream and 2 magic moments. We were in the right car on Star Tours and won the lanyard. Also on Star Tours (different day) DD4 commented that Star Tours was her favorite ride to the CM while waiting to board. Upon getting off, the CMs directed us to wait, and put us right back on the ride... 3 separate times! My kids were so excited to get to keep riding. Last magic moment was in ToT. DH and DS9 went to ride while DD and I took the "service elevator" down to wait for parent swap. DD didn't want to get in the elevator, thinking it would drop, too. After much convincing by the CM and myself, she agreed to ride down with me holding her. As the doors closed, I acted like we were falling and kinda screamed at her... CM looked like I was nuts, but DD started cracking up! CM was so impressed, he dressed her up like a bellhop, and she was waiting when DH and DS came off the ride. See pic in sig!

Yes... its being in the right place at the right time, and doesn't matter if you have kids. The computer will say 'Dumbo ride, car 4, back seat on left, 10:32 AM', and that person will win no matter who it is. For things such as fast passes, ears, and lanyards, it will say "everyone exiting Tot from 9:56 until 10:02AM" or "Star Tours, car 4 at 5:22PM" and everyone there wins. GOOD LUCK!! pixiedust:

We won dream fastpasses @ MK on 3/21. The last day of our trip  :yay:. We really weren't expecting to win anything & we actually had a running joke all week "Disney's Dream Team - Fact or Fiction?" We never saw anyone the whole week until the last day. We came around the corner at Buzz Lightyear ride (8:00 a.m.) & there was the dream team member saying congrats you've won. Right place at the right time I guess or it pays to be one of the 1st in line  :thumbsup2. If I had to guess I'd say he probably had about 50 +/- badges in his hand. I would have been soooo sad if I got to him & he said sorry just gave out the last ones :sad1:. As luck would have it it was also DH's b-day that day & DS & myself were also celebrating our own b-days the following week so we all had our Disney Birthday Trip t-shirts on that I had made at home. I guess they brought us luck. Good luck to all on getting their dreams granted. pixiedust:

We won dream fastpasses in Epcot this past Wed 3/26 at Innoventions at approx 10AM. We were in there killing some time waiting for our MS fastpass time to come up. 4-5 dream squad members were standing around in a group and all of a sudden I heard them do a little countdown and every person that passed by where they were standing was handed one. It was a great dream to win considering how crowded it was!!
We also just missed getting the YOAMD mouse ears coming off BTM. They counted off several people coming off our ride and pulled them aside. If we were closer to the front of the train we would have gotten them.

My 3 kids won pin and lanyard sets at Mission Space. They were playing in the interactive area. When they filled up the spaces they announced they all had won. This was on August 2007. They were thrilled. AND they loved the new lanyards. They are the thicker/wider and softer style.

We just returned from a 5 day stay last week and saw a member of the Dream Team in Tinkerbell's Treasures while my kids were watching Tink fly into her drawer. The DT member came up and started talking to my kids and then followed us over to Snow White's ride where see gave them "pixie dust" to make a wish.
She told them to throw the dust into the wishing well on the ride and she would have a surprise for them when they came off.
Once off the ride, she presented them with a signed YOMD 8x10 card with Snow White and all of the dwarfs autographs on it.
It was very cute and felt really special to win a dream.

On our first night in Disney World, we took the kids to the MK for AAA Storytime. Afterwards, we walked into Fantasyland & went on the carousel. From the carousel, the line for Dumbo didn't look that bad, but once we got there, it would have been a really long line. Being that my SIL & I didn't think we could handle our 2, 3, and 12-year olds in that line that evening, we started to walk away. Up walked Dreammaker Wendy, who gave us front of the line passes to Dumbo. We were so excited to start our magical vacation with this awesome little something. The kids were so excited. It's one of my favorite pictures from our vacation too, we were all so genuinely excited about it!
The next night my brother & SIL got front of the line passes on the tea cups too. My niece was so excited about it. It was Dream maker Wendy again that helped them out too.
I was really privately praying for the night in Cinderella's castle, but I was glad to get something!

We just got back from a weekend trip to WDW to celebrate my son's first birthday. As my wife and son were getting off the Haunted Mansion around 1 pm Sunday, she was approached by the dream squad and told that she was a potential winner. They had us watch a dvd on their portable machine and it told us that we won a nights stay in the castle. Of course my wife was so happy, she started crying. We had dinner with Cinderella and Breakfast at the Crystal Palace. We had V.I.P. seating for the night parade and our own guide for the whole night. Any ride that we wanted to do, our guide got us right on with no wait. Anything we wanted, someone got it for us. We were treated like royalty. It was an amazing experience. My son's second birthday is definitely not going to be able to top his first.

Any ride that we wanted to do, our guide got us right on with no wait. Anything we wanted, someone got it for us. We were treated like royalty. It was an amazing experience. My son's second birthday is definitely not going to be able to top his first.
Winning from Disney is just better than the lottery, isnt it???

We just got back from a weekend trip to WDW to celebrate my son's first birthday. As my wife and son were getting off the Haunted Mansion around 1 pm Sunday, she was approached by the dream squad and told that she was a potential winner. They had us watch a dvd on their portable machine and it told us that we won a nights stay in the castle. Of course my wife was so happy, she started crying. No, we never did that. That would have been cool, Unfortunately, we were so caught up in everything that we were in a daze the whole time. The next day is when we started thinking of things that we should of asked for of the cast. Even today, I think of something new and kick myself for not asking.

We finally won! whoo hoo!
We got dream fastpasses at AK while waiting to board the train over to Rafiki's planet watch. What a great start to the day (it was about 10-11 am, for those of you keeping track!) We didn't have to worry about running around the park all day gathering fastpasses.
It was our first win, after many many vistis to disney parks since the promotion began. So I was thrilled!

You can send in postcards and then once a month they will pick so many "mail" winners of different dreams, people here have gotten a lot of lanyards and YOMD ears. Someone also won the DVC by mailing in postcards.

There is a thread on sending postcards. Also I think you can find the address on the Disney site somewhere. These are not for your trip though. They draw each month and send you the prize if you win. Big prizes are converted over to a cash amount. You would not win the castle suite by mail order. You have to list certain things on the postcard like name, addresses and birthdate. I can't remember it all.

We won FastPasses in Animal Kingdom in Dec. '06. I think that is what is being referred to here as "Dream Fastpasses". It was a har plastic card on a lanyard and it had a tab on it for each FP-eligible ride in AK. It was great!
We were getting off of the Safari pretty much right when the park opened (we got in right after opening and went there first).
I was with my two brothers and two of my kids, plus a friend of my brothers. We did each get one. I got the impression that they were handing them to each person they saw until they ran out of them.
From reading this thread it seems like the people giving out the prizes are always in a white vest? Is that true? We are going to WDW tomorrow for three days and I'd love to know what to look for!

My hubby and I were entering Animal Kingdom a little after 2pm in December 2006. We are not early risers and always take our time when the parks are open later. As we were crossing the bridge to the Tree of Life, this glorious man and his wife approached us. They were leaving and had been given dream fast passes. They had only used the Dinosaur fast pass and wanted to pass them off to someone. My husband had no idea why I was so excited and thought I was absolutely crazy....but I wanted that man and his wife to know how they had made my day! When the hubby finally figured it out, he was ecstatic also! What a great surprise and it came from another guest!
It was really awesome! :cool1:

We were able to ride any ride that we wanted without waiting in line. Our guide asked us what we wanted to do and then took us thru the exit part of the ride and we just hopped on. We had special V.I.P seating for SpectroMagic and Wishes. We ate whatever and whenever we wanted. I had a craving for cheesecake at 2 am and they brought it to me. We got a mini "keys to the kingdom" tour complete with a visit to the tunnels under Main Street. We even got to go on a little shopping spree since we didn't have clean clothes for the next day since we won the afternoon that we were supposed to have been leaving. All in all, we were treated like royalty. Anything we asked for, we got. The main thing I wish I would have asked for is to have gotten a chance to take some pictures of the kingdom at night with no guests. But I guess I really can't complain too much.

We won YOAMD dream fastpasses with lanyards at the exit of Kilimanjaro Safari in Animal Kingdom in October 2006.
This was our very first trip to WDW, and I did study ahead of time and spend lots of time here, but I didn't have any particular strategy in mind for the rides or the parks, other than the basic fastpasses, etc. While in line for KS, the whole time this lady kept pushing her family ahead of others through the line, and once I heard her say "ooh, hurry, go over here to the left, we'll get on quicker", or something like that. I kept getting frustrated with her, but I just thought whatever, we'll all get on the ride. She got on one truck, and we got on the other. Our truck was the one chosen for the dream fastpasses as we exited the ride, and hers wasn't! I suppose it pays to be patient sometimes.

My kids all won pins as we were entering World Showcase in Epcot in February. The CM's had a game set up and my 9 year old son won. He was given a certificate as well as a pin and all the other children received pins. The very next day we were at an ice cream cart in Adventureland in MK and the CM there said that because we were the 1st customers of the day our order was on the house! It was great, there were 6 of us so it was about $30 worth of stuff! We didn't win anything big but we were thrilled to have won anything at all!

Then we won them again Friday (4/11) in Animal Kingdom by the flamingo viewing area around 10:30 am. DH couldn't believe we won them twice in one trip, maybe next time we can get them in Magic Kingdom.

It was during our trip last November. We actually got singled out twice that trip. The first time was on our arrival day. We had gone over to the Animal Kingdom and were touring the Pangani Trail. There was a lull in foot traffic and I had asked a regularly dressed Cast Member to snap our picture. She said she would but we needed to move down the trail a bit. We did and there stood the Dream Team. They gave us Lanyards and snapped our picture.
The second time was two days later and we had just exited the It's a Small World Ride and were headed up the exit ramp when our whole boat was stopped and given Lanyards.
The concierge at our hotel said that if you wore special day buttons (birthday, anniversary, etc) you stood a better chance of getting singled out. It was our anniversary so we were set!

Hmmmmmm, DH and I will be celebrating our anniversary and I plan on getting the pins for us to wear. Maybe I should wear them every day we are there.
HOWEVER, with that said, I dont think that the concierge was being honest or know what they were talking about. The dream team dont have the power to award just anyone out of the blue. They have to stick to a certain schedule and give out the prizes they are supposed to give out, such as Its a small world, exiting people at 10:30am will get lanyards. They CAN do magic moments, but its never anything huge like an offical YOAMD prize. Its usually just a fast pass or a pin or something simple and small.
Wearing special pins may grant you a better chance for getting a magic moment, but does NOT increase your chances for an official YOAMD prize.

We were just slowing to a stop at the end of riding EE - I was just so happy I was still in one piece - I didn't hear the announcement from a CM when we stopped - the entire train won Dream Fastpasses! The whole ride was clapping and cheering, but I didn't know why. :rotfl2: As I exited, a CM in blue pulled something out of a little duffle bag and handed it to me..."thank you." I kept walking - looked down... I ran back and said, "Is this a dream Fastpass?" "Oh, THANK YOU!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!" She laughed and waved - "you're very welcome - have a magical day!" :cloud9:

My family of 3 won dream fastpasses at The Muppets 3D at about 10:30 AM on December 6 at DHS. Everyone (about 30 people) standing in line got them. I was jumping up and down while DH couldn't stop laughing at me and DD4 had no idea what was going on. Her FP was kept nearly intact as she was too small to ride many of the rides on the FP. It made an already wonderful trip even better:)

I have not post before, but I have to share this. On April 10, my daughter (age 29), her Dad (my ex) and I were at Epcot. I wanted the Mouse Ears real bad. I never did see them handing them out and thought my chance was gone. Well, a real nice couple (about late 60s) walked up and handed me and my daughter their YOMD ears. I almost cried. I guess it did not hurt that we were in matching Tinker Bell shirts.

I think there is no doubt some "trends" in the prize give-a-way portion of the promotion exist.
The best advice for winning a prize at Disney World? Get to the parks early and experience as many attractions as you possibly can. Some obvious attractions and some not so obvious attractions can have prizes distributed. The one thing I've learned is you will probably get a prize when you least expect it.

Just got back from WDW and won the YOAMD ears at about 10:30 am getting off the Winnie the Pooh ride. We saw the Dream Team as we boarded waiting at the exit and I excitedly said to my dd that someone is going to win something! They gave them to everyone exiting the ride at that time. You woulda thought I won a million dollars b/c in all my times at Disney durint YOAMD, I haven't won anything. I also just missed winning them again around 12:00 at the Mission Control game when you come out of Mission Space. They gave them to everyone that was playing the game before us- we were waiting on line. It was funny to see about 30 people playing all wearing their new hats!

Last Monday, my daughter had just had her face painted outside of Kilamanjaro Safaris when a cast member approached and appointed her "jr warden" He had her greet people coming onto the ride and then walked us to the front of the line to ride the Safaris.
On Wed, my son and I rode Rock and Roller Coaster and as we got off, there were about 15 members of the dream team waiting but not for our "limo". I'd love to find out what someone won. It must have been big because there were so many cast members and they looked very excited.

Hi, on Friday May 9th my husband and I were at Animal Kingdom. We went on the safari ride sometime before lunch and there were alot of birds crawling under the buses so we had to stop for about 10-15 minutes and wait. When we finally got off the ride we were stopped and all of us on our bus got fast passes to the park. Unfortunately my husband doesn't like roller costers and I already had another fast pass for the safari ride so we handed ours to a young couple that was on their 1st trip to Disney. It was still very exciting to win. Later that day we went to Hollywood Studios and I wanted to make sure we got to Beauty & the Beast in plenty of time to hear 4 for a dollar. We were celebrating our anniversary and had our buttons on. One of the cast members asked if we would like to be the special guests. So we got to celebrate our anniversay by 4 for the dollar serenading us and giving us one of there cds. It was very magical! Then on Saturday when we went to the Laugh Floor and he was (That Guy). So our whole trip was filled with magical dreams. Disney is just the best!

On our first full day in the parks, my DH and I were riding Buzz Light Year about 9:40AM. As we were going through the turnstiles, (there was only a very fast moving line as it was no wait time) there were 3 Dream Team members passing out YOMD lanyards and pins. We are not into the pin trading (although my DH has now started buying some of the pins he likes) but it was still super cool to win something!

We got a small wish at Epcot around 11am on May 10th 2008. We were loading onto Soarin', when a cast member asked DD who is her favorite character. "Tinkerbell", said DD. The CM said, "I knew that would be your answer, and I have a very special pin for you. Never give it away, because it can't be bought anywhere."
The CM pulled a Where Dreams Come True tinkerbell pin out of his pocket and gave it to DD. She was thrilled! Even small wishes can make people truly happy.

While at the AK last August the kids won three Magical Moments. My 2 year old was given two Tink pins when a CM saw him pick up trash and throw it away. This was inside Tusker House.
On the Safari the older kids were asked to spot animals with binoculars. They were given a certificate each for spotting out the animals. They thought it was "so cool!"
Then right before we left that day we were chosen family of the hour on Dinosaur. The kids got to choose a little grab bag prize. We got our own time machine to ride in and another blue certificate.
While visiting in December '06 or maybe January '07 while waiting for Chef Mickey's to call us in the kids were asked to be in a pirate parade. They dressed up like pirates and at the end they were given the certificates and a silver pirate Mickey coin. Very cute!
No certificates but at the MK last August they rode the Goofy Coaster with Goofy and later that same day they rode the teacups with the Mad Hatter! (DD was dressed like Alice too!) These were the most magical moments of all. The kids just loved riding with the characters!
These little things thrilled my crowd! I can't even imagine winning the DVC or a night in the castle. We'd probably all go into shock! This is a great thread ~ if you haven't gotten something yet I'm sending pixie dust your way!!! :tinker:

Is the tink pin really a dream? We got a couple from various people, but were offered them ALL the time. But sine we had some already we started declining. But trash sweepers and photopass people always seemed to be giving them out to us.
I guess they would be to most people. The pins my 1 year old was given had two of the same so you could spread the magic by giving one to another person. He just loved giving his extra pin away to a little girl and she really appreciated the gesture.
We would never turn them down, the giver might take that as an unkind gesture. We'd accept and spread the magic to others. That's what Disney is all about. Right? We were at WDW for 17 nights last August and only received them once so you guys were very lucky!
Maybe to be considered a magical moment you have to get the certificate? I'm not sure how that all works. I just know the most magical thing mine enjoyed so far was that tea cup ride w/ the Mad Hatter!
I love that pic in your signature of you DD. It's so cute!

Well we refused in a nice way. DD would tell them flat out she had them already! LOL! But I would say thinks, but we have a few already. I did apologize for DD a few times as she seemed to like to scowl at people this trip. (as you can see form my signature.LOL) She didn't want to smile for anyone taking her picture too this year!

This may have been answered previously in this thread but what do the dream cast members look like? Do they wear a certain color outfit or something?

My DD and I just finished riding primeval whirl in AK and she wanted to go back on since there were no lines. We ran into a dream team member going back on and he gave us 2 rides on Primeval whirl in a row. My DD mentioned to him that we just got off and he replied that she was lucky as she would get to ride it 3 times in a row. She took this as meaning 3 times more and the CM running the ride obliged her. So I had to endure riding it 4 times in a row. This dream was more of a nightmare for my back. Will never go on it again.

We were at Hollywood Studios Sept 20 ,2007. we asked a cast member what time the LMA show started and she asked us if we wanted to sit in the directors chair and start the show. My 10 yr old son is autistic and that was all he wanted to do is see that show. It was great.

My kids had a magical moment. They were chosen to be rope carriers in the Stars and Motor Cars parade. We were chosen about an hour before the parade, we were staking out a spot to watch the parade from, we were at the beginning of the parade route. I lost the certificates that day though! :(
We were also chosen to be grand marshals of the family fun day parade at MK. I was sitting on a bench in tomorrowland with one of my kids and I was approached there. It was about 9:30 am.

I was wondering where and what people have won. Can winners reply in the following format so we can all check it out? Maybe we can figure out "good" places to win!!!.

I'll start.

We won a private meet with Cinderella on Sept 16, 2007 on Main St.
We won Safari Family of the Day, mid Sept 2007 at AK, right before rope drop.
We won front of the line pass that could be used as many times that day for EE and Safari for up to 15 people, mid Sept 2007 at the end of the Safari.
We won Splash Family on Sept 19, 2007 (I think) on our way to Splash Mountain. This Dream also came with an 8x10 of us on the ride. :thumbsup2

We won in January of 2007 on our very first day in MK. We were in TL and the kids went to trade pins with a CM. We had no idea he was DM-there were 22 of us in our party and we all had tee shirts that said "GOOF TROOP" Disney World 2007-(we got a lot of attention in these shirts)-but please don't steal our name(LOL) He asked the kids if they could do anything what would it be? There were so many ideas (11 of the 22 were kids-ages 5 thru 14) After talking to us for quite some time, he advised us he was a Dream Maker---we could not believe it. There were too many of us for fast passes and many of the dreams, we asked if we could be in a parade!
To make a long story short-we were in the family fun parade, it was great, each of us got to be in a section. Cheerleaders(2 girls in the 11 kids so you know where they went) hula hoops, all types of stuff. We had to arrive early to learn our routine. We got special pictures with the characters, the girls got to hang out with Daisy in the cheerleader section. It was awsome. What a fantastic way to spend you first day in MK, for some of us it was our first trip ever.
The next day we were in MGM-we got off of the Star Wars ride and there they were again(no matching shirts today) well, the kids were all saying -that was awsome -what a great ride and the DM came over and asked if they wanted to ride again, well of course! They took everyone in our party that wanted to ride again directly to the front of the line!! AWESOME
In EPCOT 2 out of our party got a dream @ spaceship earth- they were taken to a control center room-I don't know the particulars.
Sometimes people are annoyed because they didn't get a dream or whatever-we were thankful for whatever we got -however great or however small-Disney was a fantastic experience with or without the dreams.
By the way if anyone has video footage of the family fun day parade from Jan. 28th 2007 send me a message=we didn't want anyone to miss the experience of the parade so no one video taped it.

Dream Fastpasses at Animal Kingdom Sunday, June 8 approx. 9:30am. We were in Camp Mickey-Minnie checking out the characters/getting autographs and had decided to skip Mickey since we already had his autograph. Coming out from seeing Minnie, Kenai was across the walk so we went over there. Just as my kiddos were getting ready to go up to him the Handler asks me if we've seen Mickey yet and I explained above. He kinda got this funny look on his face, looked over that way and said, "Oh, too bad." Being a good "DIS-er", I hurried my kiddos through pics with Kenai and away we went to see Mickey (Photopass Pics, please, kids!) and sure enough, as we exited Mickey's area, two DT members were there, passed right by the first one, on to the second who stopped us and handed out the dream fastpasses.
Have to say that was the beginning of a magical day for us as we went from there to front row seats at the FOTLK where my DD was chosen to lead out sections animal 'cheer' and then both my DD and DS were asked to participate later in the program where they play instruments and march around.
The Fastpasses allowed us to tour this park in a day and go back to other things we'd missed in other parks. I remember this being a day where I truly enjoyed watching my kids enjoying every moment of the day!
Thanks for the opportunity to share pixiedust:

We won Dream Fastpasses at Animal Kingdom on Thursday. We had just gone past the gorilla exhibit on Pangani Forest Trail and came up to a cast member at the entrance to a small tunnel. He was holding everyone back saying they were trying to clear up some congestion and if we would just to stay back for a few seconds. My wife actually was getting impatient and tryed to go around him! He let us go and at the other side of the tunnel this Dream Team member steps out pulls his back pack off and says everyone just won Dream Fast Passes!:cool1: :cool1:

Wow I hope your friend wins a dream too. Your story made me feel very selfish for wanting a dream, when I am lucky enough to have health and a beautiful family.
