40% discount code - Call and asK!

I noticed all the talk of the 40% discount codes last week. Since I have moved since the last time we "officially" (we rented points in 2005 and 2006) stayed at WDW in 2004, I thought I would call and see if we had the magic code.

AND, we did. Just saved about $925 off my AAA discounted trip (and $1,377 of a regular price trip). Dates are August 12 to August 21. Poly garden view rate is $204 a night (plus I was able to add the dining plan).

I just called & she searched my name & my maiden name too. No codes, oh darn!

And I had to change my email address yet again to the correct one. And I just changed it on January 2nd.

My speculation is that we got this code because, according to WDW records, my last visit was in 2004. Hopefully, you will get one at some time soon. I did read that they are still mailing out these codes to various people.

I called last Monday & I had a different code attached to my name. I called on Saturday & I was no where in the system?? This had never happened before. So they put me in again, but needless to say, I now have no codes attached to my name at all??!! Not that I could use the other code, but now it's totally gone.

I called today & no codes, but totally different email address than I had in there or what I gave them on Saturday?! What the heck?!

Can I ask if you had to rebook through AAA using the code? I currently have a AAA reservation but called WDW and they said I had a code attached to my name but wouldn't give me any info on it since the reservation I was asking about was through AAA. Can my TA get the info for me and possibly apply it to my current reservation? How did yours work?

Dh called for the last 4 days and asked about a code attached to our name. I finally broke down and called tonight, it took me about an hour but I got the 40% off code. Make sure you check your name, and anyone else's name in the house!

I booked using AAA discount over the weekend. I called this evening....nothing yet. I have a dvd on the way. I have updated our profiles again too. I even began building an itinerary with that horrible interface.

I could really use a deal! I would love to book OKW, but even with AAA, it's still too pricey.

I haven't received a code in the mail or email yet and no code attached to my name at this point, but I am not past calling multiple times if it means I might be able to get a discount. I think I'll try again tomorrow and see what happens, no harm in asking (though I have spoken to some CM's to act as if they've never heard the words "pin" and "code" before.)

Last year, I had already booked a trip and the same day that we changed our existing ressie over from a AAA discount to the Disney Visa code, we got a pin code in the mail that was the same discount as the Disney Visa code was. So, it doesn't seem to matter if you have a ressie already.

I made a full-price reservation last Tues. I had no codes attached to my name at that time. Called back on Thurs. and a code was there. The CM just updated the current reservation and I saved $400! So, I don't think it matters.

I was able to get the code attached my ressie.. my FW rate went to $153 a night taxes in. I did not get the email just phoned down to talk to a nice CM :)

I just posted this on another thread, short version: we got the card, it disappeared before I could get CRO on the phone. It walked away from the "safe place" I'd put it in. I just called CRO and they can't find anything for 2008 attached to my name. They did find a 2007 code attached to both my mother's and my names, which neither of us ever received. I asked if they could have the dates wrong in the computer, it is only Jan, she says no. THen I'm told if I can't find the card I'm out of luck because it's not in their system anywhere. Any ideas other then keep trying?

I got a crad in the mail yesterday for 20% off. I called and asked if there was anything for 40% off? They told me they have a code for me but don't know the amount. It was the same code I had for the 20%. I changed my trip dates today. 20% off is better then nothing. This was the first time I ever got a code. I paid full price my last two trips so I'll save the $535! They told me I should be getting more codes this year.

OK, I may have missed this somewhere but..........are these codes you are speaking of, the 15 digit number highlighted in yellow on the mailer or are they like the three letter Z** codes we got last year?

My friends got the 15 digit number and I took a shot in the dark and was told by the CM it was good for only their name. So, am I correct in assuming that you all are using the specific number or is there in fact a 3 letter code again??
