hi
I have just tried to book a character breakfast at Mickeys cafe ...
Rang DLRP direct ..they told me that I can only book the character breakfast 1 day before ..is this right as I am sure I have read on here that people have booked in advance?
any help would be appreciated?

Very strange.:confused3 We have never had trouble booking it 2 months(60 days) in advance. Did you ring 0033 160 30 40 50?

I would call back and make it clear you know you can book at 60 days.

Good luck.:goodvibes

We had a similar problem on our first trip when we were calling a different number. Even though it was for DLP it was American people and they were saying similar things and also that we had to fax our requests!!:confused3

But never had any problems on the usual reservation number. Are you staying on-site? I don't know if that makes a difference as we are always on-site.:confused3

When are you trying to book for? Is it soon? If its breakfast that you want then i would persevere. We had breakfast at Cafe Mickey and it was lovely.

I have this problem quite often when calling WDW to make dining reservations. I just think sometimes the cast members are not well informed.:headache:

What would you prefer? We don't do character breakfasts at DLRP as we are not HUGE breakfast eaters so prefer to book a character lunch or dinner. If you decided to opt for one of these we love lunch at The Lucky Nugget and dinner at Cafe Mickey and Inventions. Others have recommended Cafe Mickey at lunchtime as it's quieter then, also they've recommended the tea party at Plaza Gardens.

If you decide to stick with breakfast, keep persevering and GOOD LUCK!! :wizard:

When you are on the phone tell them that you know for certain that you can book this 60 days in advance. Tell them you have a brochure in front of you telling you that you can book it.
Then ask them to go and check with someone else. It does annoy me when the CMs are misinformed and all you want to do is get booked.:headache:

That's a very good point, I never thought of that.

Hope you've been lucky, mavi252.

Hiya
I made all my reservations for our weekend away last week, but was unable to book the breakfast for the Monday, and was told to call on the Friday to book it as its only bookable 3 days prior. So this seems consistent to what you have been told...
Made all of my other reservations without a problems.
Also, I wasn't given reservations numbers, which are normally given when you book at WDW restaurants I noticed??

When I've prebooked restaurants on the phone for DLRP, I've asked for booking ref numbers, and got them. But I've also been told just to give the surname the booking is under, and that would be fine.

And it always has been fine just to give my surname.
