Last August -- Got free dining and then received a free upgrade from POP to a 1bdrm villa @ OKW because they had overbooked. I don't think we will ever see a deal as spectacular as that one!

We did the same thing, with the exception of being booked 8/30 - 9/10 @ ASMu, not Pop and being upgraded from there to SSR! :goodvibes

We were booked, thrilled with a Value and free dining! Then the email came!:woohoo:

I agree that we probably will NEVER get a deal like that again ... but boy oh boy wasn't great to get at least once?! Wow! :goodvibes

DH and I had 8 nights booked at CBR (Room and Length of Stay Hoppers) for around $1300 incl. tax. Two weeks before our trip, WDW announced they were closing CBR for a rehab and we were offered an upgrade to the Poly for an additional $150 (flat, not per night). So we spent 8 fabulous days at the Polynesian for about $1450, including tax and park hoppers.

In Sept 1992 we were trying to book a room at CBR (the only hotel on WDW property at that time that we could remotely afford) and they offered us a discount to stay at a new hotel that was not "officially" open yet...Dixie Landings. I think they only had a few bldgs ready and running but the food court, pool etc were all ready to go. Because the construction was still going on they gave us a discount...can't remember but I'm thinking it was like $59/night maybe??? (I think that reg room rates back then were $79/night) The hotel was brand new, the staff was wonderful and there were only a handful of guests staying at the hotel and we never even saw or heard construction. It was so clean and fresh and it was our first trip to stay onsite so we really felt the magic.

In 2004 I had a pin code for $49 a night at Pop! Not earth shattering news but I loved it! And it was a cheap trip, with no less FUN!! :thumbsup2
