I posted this in the free dining section, but to no avail. I have heard a few rumors where you may have to book at the very least a moderate to get the free dining in 2008? Does anyone know?:confused3

Since they haven't released any offers with free dining for 2008 anything at this point is a guess.

That's not true. People have already booked their free dining with the bounce back offer. See this post for exact dates and rates: www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1685174 Later in the thread someone posted this:

Keep in mind that guests who booked their 2007 bounce back trip in 2006 got to book for a week longer than the regular guests got to when the promotion was open to everyone. Basically if you booked your bounce back trip for 2007 you had to check in by 9/29/2007 where the open to everyone promotion offered in April -May for a Aug-Sept trip had to check in by 9/22/2007.

I believe that is the guideline requirement for our UK friends who was offered the free ddp for 2008.

Bounceback offers for the UK frequently have different terms & conditions from Bounceback offers for the US customers...

And all bounceback offers frequently have different terms, conditions and available dates from the general public free dining offers which are usually announced in early April.

Using any bounceback offer as a guideline to what free dining may or may not be in 2008 is ill advised.

To add to the rumor mill:
One of the guest service managers at AS Sports and I had a rather lengthy conversation on 1/7/08, and he told me that he had been informed that ( bounceback aside) free dining will not be offered again this year.
A longtime guest service CM that I have been in contact with is sure that they will offer it again this year, the same as last year.

Moral of the story:
We will all just have to wait and see. ;)

I agree, I still feel as though they will offer it to the values.
