Never gotten anything here, though my mother in law got something recently, though when she called in they told her it was only valid for rooms booked before the end of March. We all live in the Chicago suburbs.
Hope that helps!

Nothing here. We've gone to Disney about 8 times since 1997. When AKL first opened, I got a couple postcards with a decent rate for AKL, but other than that, nada, zilch. Nothing via email either. I am signed up on the web site, and with Disney Destinations, and other "lists," but still nothing.
When I ask the cms on the phone if there is a code attached to my name, they always say something like, "What are you talking about? Codes are never attached to names. They are given out as discounts with certain offers. That's it." Now of course, I have read on this board many times where cms have said "Oh, boy, you have a code attached to your name!" lol, so I KNOW it happens. Just not for us. :confused3

I got one in the mail today. There are various dates it can be used this year but we have to book by March 31 to get the 40% off. So I need to check the calendar and see if we can swing it.

Nope. None. Never. :sad2:
Although, Disney's IT system has my record all screwed up, so I'm sure my demographic profile won't ever pull. Every time I call, they say, "And it says you've been here 5 times, the last time in 1971?" I wasn't even born in 1971. And every time, they say they are correcting it, but they apparently don't.

We've been 3 times in the last 3 years and are currently planning a trip for this December. I called yesterday to see about any codes and nothing. Makes me wonder how they choose who receives them.

Nothing here in the Northwest section of the state and never have gotten a code sent to me.
I am signed up for everything Disney and they had my email mixed up for years and kept saying they would change it but never did. Everytime they would ask if it was right I would say no but the last person I talked to promised me to change it to the right email. I finally got one CM last year who said she knew what they were doing wrong and would fix it for good for me and she did so there is a way. They have had my correct address for 13 years and I still have never gotten a postcard. I think it's like winning the lottery but with a bit better odds and still I can't win. lol Thank goodness I don't buy lottery tickets. Whatever will be will be is my moto.

I live in central Illinois and we go to disney at least once a yr and have never gotten a code.We have always payed full "rack rate" to stay on property.
I have talked to several CM over the yrs about how discounts and codes are sent to people. This is what I have been told.
First, the pin number post cards and email pins are done through marketing. Not through the central reservation sysytem. Most times the CM that is booking isn't aware of the discount until she imputs the pin number. Second, we went on a DVC tour and were told the Illinois(mainly the chicago and suburb area) were the 3rd largest state to visit the WDW area and buy into the DVC. Thats why they set up the Shamburg door to the dream in Woodfeild mall. I think this has something to do with why there are so little pin codes around Illinois area. Families like mine who visit disney on a annual bases will go to WDW regardless if we recieve a discount or not. So it makes sense from a buisness standpoint not to send me a pin or code discount.
With all that said I would LOVE a discount and keep hoping that one will come my way some day.

We live in the NW suburbs and I have gotten a couple of emails, but have never been able to use them. And i'm not sure that it wasn't an email that everyone that subscribes to WDW didn't also receive, so i don't think it was anything special. I have just been able to use my AAA discount, but it sure would be nice to get a code for our trip this April!

I'm about an hour South of Springfield, IL. I haven't received anything from Disney. I'm 31 and have lived here all of my life..I've come to notice that we rarely get much of a break for anything in Illinois so I guess we can just add Disney to the list of things we have to pay more for lol. :rotfl2:

Nothing for us in the western burbs of Chi...I just called the other day and nope! We have been at Disney almost every year the last 5 years so I think that has something to do with it. My mom recieved the code last year and she hadn't been in awhile. Do you think they keep sending out codes or once they are done blanketing they stop?:confused3

Just called in, and we now have a code attached to our name (we didn't a week ago) so keep trying! Unfortunately, it isn't good for the dates that we are committed to going. However, it was for 30% off room only on the moderates, and I don't know what the discount was on the others.
Good luck!

Hi everyone! I'm making my first trip to WDW in June and a friend referred me to DIS. I have to say I'm extremely grateful for the wonderful tips, but am finding myself a little obsessed with the board ;).
Just wondering for those in IL who just received a 40% code, are the dates the same as those listed on a post above?
Thanks!

Got a 20% code yesterday (nothing a week ago) when I called. Booked Poly for 6 nights, but we'll probably cut it down to 4-5 nights (and stay the rest of the nights at the Swan at the cheap gov't rate) since Poly is still expensive!!

We got one yesterday...30% and we are western 'burbs of Chicago. I wonder what the rhyme or reason is of 20, 30 40%....we checked out the bottom line for the first week of April and Pop and ASSP were available in the values, CBR for mods and only the villas of Sarato Springs and OKW were available for our code. The CM did not ask for the yellow code number...I had said it was for 30%, but he did not really verify it.:confused3 perhaps it just came up when he took our adress/phone info. Anyway, for POP the rate came to 69.30 before tax and 77.96 incl tax...then on Friday ans Saturday the rate switched to 76.30 before tax and forgot to ask w/tax. O.K. rates since that is technically our spring break, but I think had we gotten the 40% it would've been more attractive. I think we would only actually stay maybe 5 nights and drive...we are actually visiting 2 colleges during that week and WDW just happens to be in the middle of them, so sort of hard to pass up, but really should NOT be adding cost to the trip. At least some of us Illinoisians are getting the code sent to us!:thumbsup2

We're in central IL. We have received two or three codes in the last few years but never one we could use. Normally, we get one AP and use that discount. Got the 40% off postcard a few days ago with much the same dates others are seeing, but we're going June 1-? and can't use the dates (:.
So far, no AP rates for that period, either, so .....
At any rate, IL is targeted sometimes.

We live in Northern IL, near Dekalb/Rockford. I've gotten various codes for WDW over the years. The first ones I used to get, well, I wasn't so bright, I hate to admit it. :rolleyes1  I didn't check them out, just thought they were trying to trick me by offering a deal that wouldn't really save, but would cost more in the end. :confused30 0:headache: How dumb could I be, lol! :sad2: :scared:Anyway, I've since gotten a couple I have used, as well as an email for free dining I used last Nov and another for this summer, but can't go till Jan. Also got a couple offers for Disneyland last year, too. I would love a 40% for Jan! :goodvibes

Central IL here and no codes I can use. I do regularly (about one per year) get a code for a time I absolutely can't use and during which I've never attended the parks (I teach, so OCT is right out). Clearly, Disney's computer system shows them when I've been there (May, June, December) but my codes are never for those months.
We're waiting on a discount to book this year, or we go elsewhere.
