I'm deprived of reading material. Right now for school, I'm reading A Tale of Two Cities, but it's very slow and I'm looking for something to read on the side.
Any suggestions? I read books from pretty much every genre; my favorites are probably Harry Potter, Twilight, The Perks of being a Wallflower, and The Realm of Possibilities.

The Uglies Trilogy. Uglies, Pretties, and Specials.
Rena's Promise
Gone With the Wind
Behind the Bedroom Wall
An Inconvenient Book
Charlie Wilson's War
13 is too Young to Die
Cirque Du Freak Series (not my usual taste, but my friend got me hooked. You might like it if you like the Twilight series)
The Final Journey
The Kite Runner

Uhm...these are just the books I've read recently that I liked. If I think of more I'll post them. It really just depends on what your tastes are.

and Extras

Water for Elephants. There's a lot of cursing, but generally, it's a good book.

I'm reading Swimming right now for school. It's realyl good so far, but it's really inappropriate, so I don't know how you feel about that.

My favorite books are Sarah Dessen's books and Sloppy First, Second Helpings, Charmed Thirds, and Fourth Comings, all by Megan McCafferty. Some cursing in that series, but really really really good. It's really sarcastic humor, and it's so real.

Can you tell me the author of Swimming? I'm googling them all to see which ones I think I'll like. The Sloppy First sounds like a really good read.

The author of Swimming is Joanna Hershon.

Here's a link for the book's description at Barnes & Noble.

And the Sloppy Firsts series are the best books I've ever read in my life! I can't put them down. I'm reading Fourth Comings now, and it's soo good!!

it'll give you a headache. alex talks in it the same way he talks in the movie, but thus far, its better than the movie. (the movie is one of my favorites too) Hes just so hard to understand sometimes. ;)

The Gossip Girl Series is really good.
Also the Private series.
I recently got hooked on both of these.
Although I have to warn you if you like the Gossip Girl show it's pretty much completely different than the books...

So some of the books I've read are all of Sarah Dessen's books. Meg Cabot's Mediator series, they're kind of short but it was a good story, kind of like Twilight in a sense. I love the Harry Potter series, I think I need to reread Deathly Hallows again.

I like the quick read books. Like Carribean Cruising, Thrill Ride, Island Girls (And Boys). They're teen romance books. I read them in less than a day. They're all by different authors.

I think I'm going to Barnes and Noble today to get Eclipse and This is Your Brain on Music (that book was on the "It's Amazing..." thread about a week ago). I also have a book in my room that I've yet to read, A Company of Swans.

Oh Nicholas Sparks books are AMAZING. My favorite is Message in a Bottle & The Wedding (kind of a sequal to The Notebook, but you have to read the book first, not depend on the movie).

I have a ton a books in my room but I think I need to branch out.

BEFORE I GO.

I just picked it up from the library, and haven't read but a paragraph or two but I already know it's going to be ah-mazing. It's by Riley Weston.

Go get it...now. Go.
