Can't do DDP with AAA resort discount?

I called to add DDP to our ressie but was told that you can't have the DDP plan if you have a AAA discount on your resort reservation? Does that sound accurate?

Yes. You can get both, but you have to book your package through an AAA travel agency rather than through Disney directly.

I guess I'll call AAA and see if I can get a ressie through them for the same accomodations and if yes then book with them and cancel the Disney reservation.

Any downside to using AAA? Do you need to pay everything upfront in advance on a credit card?

No downside at all.

I did the same thing; booked room only, then had AAA convert it to a package so I could get DDP.

AAA allows you the same payment deal as Disney......so you're all good to go!

I'm so glad this question was asked (and answered!). I was just wondering the same thing. We booked our upcoming stay at Saratoga Springs & the Polynesian through AAA, and I was hoping we'd be able to add DDP. I'll call AAA tomorrow to get it sorted out! :goodvibes

2 weeks ago booked a reservation at AAA with the DDP and got the room discount. The only time you don't get the room discount is if you book the Free DDP thur AAA, 2 discounts aren't allowed on the same reservation but the Free DDP outweights the room discount.
