Torn between which area to stay in for the trip in late october. Do you recommend staying at the mk resorts to see the fireworks following the mnsshp, or Epcot resorts to be nearer the food & wine festival? First trip in October and not sure which is the bigger event. Thanks, MKY:confused:

Hmmmmmmmmm . . .I suppose if you are traveling with just adults, I'd stay closer to the Food/Wine Festival . . .IMHO. :)

What a great question. We are going in late October as well for the party - but we already made up our minds we would stay at the GF. However one of these times I am going to tear myself away from the monorail line and stay at the AK to do that Sunrise Safari and one time at the Boardwalk.
This time we are traveling with a group of 9. So - we found this easier.

What a great question. We already made up our minds to stay at the GF as there are 9 of us traveling this time.
Even though I have tried the WL - I am determined to try the AK and the Boardwalk. I think staying over at the EPCOT area it just makes it so easy to leave after watching Illuminations or even FANTASMIC.
This will be my first time at the Food and Wine Festival and I am looking forward to trying some of that Cheese Soup in Canada.

We have been to mvmcp and loved being at the cr tower for the fireworks & walkway, it was very convient, but not sure, thinking about the poly for october to for the monorail and mk area but you can also walk to the ttc also. Right now have ressies at dolphin but this could change?

Have done October twice at WDW. First time stayed at BW. Second time stayed at GF and YC. I loved both locations (MK & Epcot). We'll be there again this October, and we're staying at the BW again (and possibly a few days at the AKL). Personally I don't think you can go wrong with any WDW resort. After all, you are in Disney, aren't you?!
