I know that thomascook now own mytravel and are doing out their planes by May, on the mytravel site my flight comes up with monarch do they now own these also? and if they do are they doing these out too? if they are and the seats are going to be 2-4-2 then I may use them. Anyone know?

They don't own them just hire seats as do other companies when they don't actually use their own planes from the airport. I have flown twice with them from Newcastle both times the seat configuration was 3, 3, 3.

Just booked the Monarch flight from Newcastle for May. It's not the most comfortable flight you'll ever have, but it gets you there.

The same flight is sold by Thomas Cook, and Thomsonfly. It currently costs £958 with thomsonfly and £443 with thomas cook.:confused3
For some reason I couldn't get a quote direct from Monarch/Avro, but I did ring Dial a Flight who told me to jump at the £443 price as they couldn't touch it.

We fly with Monarch in August from Newcastle, we flew with them May last year, it is a small plane with not much space & the TV's are poor(small tv's up the middle. But to us it's worth it to fly from Newcastle. Thomsonfly were more expensive, but they have more legroom & seatback TV's.
