We just "unbattoned" the hatches from a tornado!

Here in southern Wisconsin (Lake Geneva area) we just had some WICKED weather roll through.
Thunderstorms, hail and 2 tornados! No injuries, small amts. of damage, but what a crazy last hour!!
We didn't get to see it, witch is ok by me, but in January??

This is unreal! (oh yeah, it was 62 here today. Normal high? 28)

Wow! Glad to hear you're OK. We're a few hours south of you (central IL), and it was at least 65 here today! They were predicting severe thunderstorms here, as well, but they passed us by. We opened all the upstairs windows, I was able to take the kids out for a bike ride! It was sooooo nice to get out of the house.

Hey guys we are 25 miles west of Chicago and it has been lightning here for a while and a little rain. The weather has been great at 63. I was talking to my dentist today and I said I hear background music in my head, like the theme from Jaws, it's coming soon. The other shoe will drop. Just enjoying it while we can.:rolleyes1
Glad your Ok.

Oh my gosh we heard all the news today about the tornadoes. Our hearts and thoughts go out to all who have been affected by these. Wisconsin and Indiana take care.:grouphug:

Thank God you're OK! That is so strange. I was getting ready to leave this morning at about 7:00 and thought how strangly dark it looked for that time of morning. I hadn't heard the national forcast. I just had this weird feeling something was going on. Well, stranger than the fact that I was leaving my house at 7am with a short sleeve shirt on and no jacket... IN JANUARY! Winters aren't as bad here as in some parts of the country, but it still gets pretty cold...not this year. I hate to see what the bugs will be like this summer!

Hello from Minnesota! I think that you must have gotten a warm front from us. The temperatures have been high for a typical Minnesota January. On the radio this morning they were saying that the tornadoes that you got were the earliest recorded in WI. Glad to hear you are okay! I know how nasty they can be!

Please tell me that the cheese crop wasn't affected! Just kidding. Glad to hear that everyone is ok. We have similar storms like that here on Cape Cod. Scary but amazing to see the power of mother.

The heat you had hit us today. We got up to 66. Pulled out my bike, took it to the State Forest, and rode through branch-covered bike trails for a couple of hours. In mid-January!
