We are flying out at the end of November. Are we able to pre book out seats, if so how, when and what seats are good and what are bad. I am traveling with my DW and DS (4). As you might guess, I am not a slim man.:rotfl2:

Any help would be grand.

Thanks.

We are flying out 22 November for 2 weeks and I was able to log onto my booking and choose seats for both legs of te journey yesterday, the site often comes up with a message saying that they can't find the booking but once you put the flight number and date in if booking is open then it finds it immediately. Sorry I can't give you much advice about Virgin as our first trip with them will be 26 of this month, (usually travelled British Airways but having had to wait for 8 hours last time on our return to Gatwick to fly up to Newcastle we decided that at least getting the train back from Manchester we'd be moving whilst napping!!) we were just keen to try to get the 2 seats on their own towards the back of the plane so we don't disturb anyone else if we want to get up during the flight.

I think the 747-400 config 2 is usually on the Gatwick route.

two opinions are here

Compare and see what's best for you, there are a few to avoid but manage your expectations comes to mind :)

As per the other post you can reserve your seats 336 days in advance.

Definitely use seat guru to get a good idea of the leg room etc you will require for a comfortable flight in both directions. Remember to ask for the virgin airways reference number it's different to you your virgin holidays reference number, which will give you access to pick your seats on-line when the time is right (in the manage by booking section I think). Hope you get sorted out pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

we sat near the back of the plane I think it was row 61 or 62 its the last row of three seats before they go to two. These seats were definetly roomier than other seats that we have sat on in virgin economy.

Brill! as your very near the back you can stand near the toilets as there is quite a bit of space there and look out of the window at the sea....:rotfl:
no, but seriously they are good seats and we did find it was much better for room in those seats :thumbsup2
