We went to DW last summer and it was super hot and super crowded (what did I expect? LOL) We'd like to plan our next trip for a cooler but more importantly less busy time. We are pretty flexible. When do you suggest??

I have always liked going in January or early Feb. Sept isnt so bad either but its HOT..

I have noticed in the last few years, the off peak times are getting shorter and shorter.

Hi Sheri,

Cooler (though weather can be anywhere from warm to cold) and less busy: now through the second week in February.

Warm, but not hot, and less busy: the first three weeks of May.

Hot, but less busy: September.

I am current reserved for Easter Week but thinking of pushing it to the next week- first week in April - will that be much of an improvement?

Sorry to hijack

I know our school break is the week AFTER Easter week, but I don't know how many schools have that week off. We don't even have Good Friday or Easter monday off this year.:confused3

October is nice, warm but not hot and the crowds are low.

My husband and I went first week of April abck in 99 and the weather was wonderful, crowds low too. We are going back this year same dates and hope it is as nice as it was back then...guess we'll find out.

It COULD NOT be worse! lol. Easter week is one of the busiest weeks of the year, only second to Christmas week. It will still be busy the first week of April, but I would think it would have to be better than Easter week. If you're flexible, I'd push it as far into April as possible.

The best trip we ever had was after Thanksgiving into the first week of December. The crowds were low, the decorations are beautiful, it's value season, and the weather was great! Our second best trip was the last part of January into the first week of February. There was hardly any crowds at all - walked on everything the entire week. It's a little bit cooler then and there weren't any decorations, but the super low crowds made up for that.
