We would not be renting a car and using disney as our transportation to and from airport and around parks... so I am wondering if we wanted to go to sea world how much a taxi would run us... there are 8 or us (2 families of 4).

That was one way for one taxi! Most of the cab companies do have vans (bigger then minivans) that may be able to fit all of your party. Have the CM specify exactly what you want when they call the cab company. If you have any small children with you try giving their first name as the name that the cabbie will ask for....my DS loved having the cabbie announce that he was looking for Mr. Jason's party, lol!

mousesavers.com has a taxi cost estimator. I did out the math and it looks like it is cheaper for me to budget for an occasional taxi (van style) than to rent a car that will sit for most of my trip in a parking lot. From Epcot it is estimated at about $20.00 each way.
