Hi there
We'll be there in just over 5 weeks and have taken the meal plan for the first time. Just wanted to ask a question about breakfast. Do you have to take breakfast in the resort hotel that you stay in or does the meal plan work like WDW in Florida in that you get a 'credit' and each day you get a counter service and a table service - basically can eat anywhere that does breakfast e.g. is Breakfast classed as a counter service?

The Disney website isn't as clear.

Thanks
Derek:thumbsup2

No, you can only eat breakfast in the hotel where you are staying.

Thanks Elaine. We were last in DLP in Oct 2005 and I seemed to remember that we upgraded our breakfast at Cheyenne for breakfast at Cafe Mickey. Do they still do that?
Cheers
Derek

Yes, you can still do that. I think there's two sittings ~ one at 7.30 and one at 9.30 (someone please correct me if I'm wrong!!)

I see you're going in a big party so it's probably best to book it before you go. :goodvibes

I assume we just book through the normal reservations line? Do we have to tell the hotel when we check in as I seem to remember you select your breakfast sitting when you check in?.........

What is the cost of the upgrade?
Thanks:thumbsup2

In the latest brochure it says the cost of the upgrade is £12 for adults and £8 for children age 3-11.

Yes, I would assume you would call reservations to add it to your booking. :) Can't help with the bit about telling your hotel as we've only done character lunch or dinner. I assume they would already know as I think they are the ones who give you your voucher for the meal :confused3 :confused3 hopefully someone else will step in here..........

Yes thats right- we called reservations to add it to our booking then the vouchers were given to us when we booked in at the hotel. We didnt need to tell them.
