On a previous post, I asked about shipping a small coffee pot down to myself. Someone had said to just ask housekeeping for one. But I thought I read that AKL does not have coffee pots for the rooms. What's the deal? Do they or don't they have coffee pots in/for the rooms at AKL? Has anyone actually gotten one from housekeeping at AKL? In case you can't tell, my morning coffee is a MUST!:D

Well...I cant help ya on the coffee pot thing BUT...last year when I went (stayed at BC) I went directly to Disney from a race and didnt want to have to carry EVERYTHING for both places all over. SO I called and asked If I could ship a few things to the resort. They told me YES but that they charged a service charge...of like $25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, I just carted all my extra hairspray and such.

For $25 Id buy a refillable mug!

~or~ what I got is a little 1 cup coffee maker. Its very small...could probably fit right in your luggage. The filter part goes right into where the water goes and it brews it right into a travel mug. Its very small and very convienent. I believe it was a "Mr Coffee" and only cost about $12!

Hope that helps. Oh and theres no glass to break! Its all sturdy plastic!

I know that coffee makers exist at the AKL because my suites had them:

photo w/coffeemaker in it (http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/janettwokay/vwp?.dir=/Walt+Disney+World/Walt+Disney+World+Suites/AKL+One-Bedroom+Suite&.src=ph&.dnm=Parlor+Amenities.jpg&.view=t&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/bc/janettwokay/lst%3f%26.dir=/Walt%2bDisney%2bWorld/Walt%2bDisney%2bWorld%2bSuites/AKL%2bOne-Bedroom%2bSuite%26.src=ph%26.view=t)

I bet if you contacted Housekeeping during your stay, they could provide one to you.

By the way, I just went to the WDW website (www.disneyworld.com) and found the following regarding the AKL and its rooms:

Amenities include in-room safe, voice mail, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and 27" television. Coffeemaker and refrigerator available upon request.
