First a little background about df and myself. Df(Matt) and Me(Ashley) went to Disney world in dec of 2006 and were there before the Christmas crowds on Dec16th our first day in the parks Matt proposed to me at CRT. I didn’t know he was going to and it was completely unexpected. He had the dessert come to the table and it was covered and when I tried to uncover it he screamed no and ran around the table and got down on one knee and picked up the lid and proposed. We made the lady behind us cry. I thought she would never stop crying. It was so cute! I cried too of course. We are getting married july 19th of this yr. DF is 26 and he is really easy going. Me on the other hand I am an over planner and I want every single detail planned out so that once we get there we can relax and not have to rush around(df is famous for rushing us around the parks, which is annoying) I am 24 and I love Disney…I went when I was younger with my family and have wanted to go back ever since. I am active on the dis and I am also in to pin trading…I am up to 99 pins, which doesn’t even compare to the over ten thousand the guy we met at epcot had. Amazing I know. We decided this yr since we had been working all year that we would take our vacation during Christmas(yes crazy right?) Well dec is the only time df gets off from work so we kind of have to plan around his work schedule. So here is our trip report and I hope you enjoy! :goodvibes

Day 1
We arrived at the airport around 6:30 and of course our plane was delayed because we were waiting for someone to come from an international flight, but that is just how it goes. I never expect to be on time anywhere especially when flying. Its just my kind of luck. We took the magical express to AKL and got checked in and looked at the animals outside our balcony. It was AMAZING! We were on the ground level right in the corner so we had the best view of anyone I like to think. There were large African cattle outside our room and I think maybe a few gazelle as well. Since we were celebrating Christmas in Disney we had ordered our tree from Disney Florists and brought our own stockings just to save a little money. So we decided to set out for downtown Disney to do shopping for stocking stuffers. Of course we were starving so we stopped and ate at Earl of Sandwich before commencing with the shopping at World of Disney. We looked around the store first to kind of show each other what we liked and then went back to the main room and df started in that room and I went to the second room and worked my around counter clock wise so we wouldn’t run into each other. Although I was secretly hoping to run into him so I could get a peak at what he had gotten me. Hehe. I finished first, which was weird since I like to meander more than df does. So I waited outside and text him letting him no there was no rush. After all he was shopping for me. Once he was done we looked around a little more and called it an early night since we were getting up early the next day to head to the Magic Kingdom!
Day 1 (officially in the parks)
The morning started out awesome! We had in room dining and watched the animals outside our room. There were some giraffe and the African cattle again. We arrived at the Magic Kingdom and had to stop to get pal mickey reactivated since he needed to be updated. Also his batteries were dead so we had to put new ones in him. I guess there is a tower on the first budilding on the left as you walk toward Main Street U.S.A. and so they recommend you go sit there for about ten minutes and if he isnt’ back to himself by then they will update him for you. After letting Mickey recharge with new info we headed off to Fantasy Land. We got through most rides here with a very minimal wait time. Peter Pan was the longest wait there and that was only 25-30 minutes so we just stood in line and waited for it. We rode it’s a small world, peter pans flight, snow white, Winnie the pooh and we were going to ride the tea cups, but I couldn’t quite convince df to get on them. He was scared I’d get mad at him for spinning the tea cups to fast, but secretly I think he was scared that he would get sick from the spinning and just didn’t want to admit that to me.
After all the fun of fantasy land we decided to head off to tomorrow land and discovered that there was quite a wait for buzz lightyear so we grabbed a fast pass and rode the carousel of progress, which we had passed up last year, but were curious what it was all about so we did that and then I met buzz light year and he wished me a happy birthday…well he pointed at my birthday pin and held his thumb up. ☺ After all that excitement it was time to ride the buzz light year ride. I love that ride even though I suck at hitting the targets. Of course df is awesome at it and makes me look bad every single time. We actually got to ride buzz again with no wait during emh that night and df still smoked me. Also while in tomorrow land we decided to try out the new monsters inc comedy floor since it wasn’t there last year when we visited. I thought it was okay. I never watched Monsters Inc so maybe that’s why I wasn’t more into it? Let me know what you thought of it. I think df liked it, but he has seen that movie too so he was having to tell me about the monsters and what not. After our short, but sweet trip to tomorrow land we decided to have lunch at Cosmic Rays. We both had grilled chicken burgers and fries of course. We also had carrot cake for dessert because we were on the Disney dinning plan. I love the dinning plan it is so awesome! This yr they did something a little different at Cosmic Rays they actually seat you instead of you seating yourself, which I found to be a brilliant idea because that way a party of two (like us) isn’t taking up a table for four people and it was much more organized this way also. I liked it and I hope they try to do this in some of their other counter service places too. We decided to walk over to frontier land to scout out a spot for the parade and weren’t disappointed. We sat down about a hour before hand and were right in the front row so that made for some nice pictures and I’ll even post a few. We rode a few more rides after the parade and then deiced to head on over to the Grand Floridian to take some pictures and walk around before our 6:10 dinner reservation at 1900 Park Faire. I loved park faire…not for the buffet because df and I both felt that it was a little lacking, but the characters were great!!! Very interactive and funny. Cinderella was there, her two step sisters, the step mother and of course one of her mice Suzzy. I am in love with Cinderella so I was in heaven. Anastasia made everyone clap for me because it was my birthday and I didn’t stand up. Then she proceeded to sing to me causing my face to turn about ten shades of red. I feel bad for the step sisters though because they were talking in this scratchy voice and I can only imagine how their throats would feel at the end of the night. They were very entertaining though. The step mother came over and thought that there was lip stick on df’s collar(it was really a red logo) she told us to at least wait to have our magic moments until we were off of Disney property. Then she took a picture with him acting like she had kissed his collar. She said see even I can have my magic moments. It was quite awesome. I was very entertained. I’ll post a picture of that too. We ended our evening with fireworks and of course spectromagic parade. We sat down in plenty of time for the parade so once again we were right along the curb, which I have to say made all the difference in the world. Last yr we were back in the crowd for the parade, but this yr since we were right on the curb it just seemed so much better. I think that’s all if you have any questions or comments feel free to leave them! Next up day 2…woke up late..eeek

Hi! I;m looking forward to reading more about your Christmas in WDW! I was there in 2002 and it was a zoo - I had never seen it that crowded before.
Your AKL view is wonderful - maybe one day I will get to stay there.
99 pins? See, to me, that is a lot - we have 24 :) But, I know what you mean, those serious collectors have zillions! (OK - that might be stretching it)

thank you to everyone who posted...yes the akl Savannah view was AMAZING. We stayed at CSR last yr and while I loved that and didn't want to go to AKL this yr, boy am I glad I did!!! I told DF that now he is going to be hard pressed to convince me to go to another resort because I fell in love with AKL even more so than CSR.
Cathy...only 24 pins? When did you start? I went on a pin trading spree while in Epcot one of the final days of our trip and traded like 12 pins around the world one day...I even traded one last pin in the disney store in the airport so I was trading till the final moments. Hehe.
Hopefully I'll post tomorrow. We'll see. Thanks everyone!

We recently went to WDW (early October) and it was our first experience with pins. We ordered some from a trader on dizpins and went with those. We had a blast trading them and will get more for our next trip. (and for the record, I told my DH that I only had 24 and he said "no you dont, you have more than that"...so I went and counted...I have 53. I guess it only seems like 24...haha!) Either way, pin trading is sooo fun & adicting. We are considering a 1 day trip to WDW in February whike we are in FL for a wedding so, I guess we will need more pins :)

awww so jealous if you get to go on a one day trip...I love pin trading/collecting pins...thats funny that you thought you only had 24 but you have 53. I think DF found some collector (only cm pins) on ebay for me because he keeps talking about a surprise. I have one set that is cm exclusive pin(i don't know how much you know about all of the pin trading) but these pins can't be bought except for of course ebay. They are a set of ghosts from the haunted mansion. Those are getting traded. :) Most of mine I have aren't going to be traded. I just buy those trader sets and trade those. Its the best way to go. :) Do you collect anything specific? Or just do it to do it? I've found some nifty ones this past trip. I even had one that the guy with over ten thousand pins didn't have and he wanted it really bad. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

We (DH & I) were talking today about WDW in February, I think the little one day trip will only be DTD; but there might be still be hope for MK...we will most likely play it by ear. My DH's sister is getting married & they live about 1-1/2 hours south of Orlando so we can just drive up for the day if it comes to that.
About pins...we collected hidden mickey's (which are CM pins, right?) and miscellaneous princesses. I tried to collect the 7 dwarfs but I didnt fare to well; I only got 2 :) The pins we have now, we are planning on keeping. We will just purchase some more traders before we go next time. I might give up my 2 dwarfs...who knows.

Day 2 Christmas Eve @ Epcot
Christmas eve didn’t really feel like Christmas eve. I kept hearing the same thing from everyone all day as we were passing other people in the park. DF & I are used to snow and tons and tons of family and all we had was each other and lots of strangers around us(we are from ohio.) We …no make that I woke up late…df had been trying to wake me up for a while, but I wasn’t feeling well and we had gotten to bed really late the night before due to emh at magic kingdom. So I finally got myself around and we were off like a heard of elephants as his mom would say. Off to Epcot and our first stop was to get a fp for Soarin and the return time wasn’t until 7:40 so we had A LOT of time to kill. I personally was surprised there were any fp’s left at all since it was about 10 or 11 by now. It had to of been 11 because we were to late for breakfast at the little food area inside the land building so we had to eat lunch and quite frankly I thought it sucked, but that’s because there were onions on my sandwich that I didn’t know were going to be on there and I detest onions…they completely ruin a good meal at times. I ate anyways because I was starving and had almost passed out when walking up the ramp into the land building, which df didn’t even realize because A) I didn’t tell him and B) as per usual he was about 5-10 steps ahead of me because as I mentioned earlier he is always rushing off to this or that.
After lunch we decided to head on over to check out the nemo ride, but it was way to long to just ride around in a clam shell for like two seconds. So we went inside and looked around the living seas and also hit up Turtle Talk with Crush, which was quite comical as usual. We continued to walk around the living seas after we were done and then we headed over to the Character connection to wait in a long line to meet Mickey, Minnie, Chip & Dale, Goofy and Pluto. Even though the line is long I actually recommend standing in it just because its easy access to several characters and there are photo pass photographers in there so you can also get group shots. Sometimes in the park I’ve run into characters that have no photo pass people with them thus making it slightly harder to get a shot of your whole party if that’s what your after. I have to say I’d much rather have a picture of df and I than just myself. Sorry for the ramble on with the report. After we met with all our friends we checked out the exhibit in the same building called, Epcot creating the new world of tomorrow. There was also a bench right by the window to sit on and I decided to lay on it because I was so exhausted from our first day. Not to mention I was fighting off a cold, which was making me even more tired. If you want a place to sit to get out of the heat and the sun this little area is nice. Although there are only a few benches there is plenty of room to just plop down on the carpet and relax and its pretty quiet as well. ☺ We decided to check out pins at the pin trading station and Mouse Gear as well(have to get that shopping in!!!) We actually have a semi good strategy for shopping in Disney. We look around and buy very few things the first few days, but I write down in the back of my autograph book what we liked and where it was and that way if we decide we really want it we can chase it down on one of our last days in the parks.
We had a very early reservation at Coral Reef so we didn’t make it to World Showcase. Coral Reef was excellent as it was last year! We actually got to see a scuba diver deliver a message to this little girl. They post it up on the glass (the paper is laminated so it won’t get wet.) Then the waiter was telling us that if you are certified to scuba dive then you can actually do diving in the tank and Disney will provide you with all the gear and everything you need (for a fee I’m sure) I thought that was pretty nifty and no sooner did he tell us that then we see a whole group go swimming by us. It was really awesome! We did the dinner package at coral reef that included the Candle Light Processional, which we were very excited about because we weren’t able to get into it last year. The reader was Gary Sinse (sp might be wrong, but it’s the guy that plays lieutenant dan in forest gump) If you haven’t been to the Candle Light Processional I highly recommend it! I loved it except for the fact that I was falling asleep and I know your probably thinking well it couldn’t of been that bad if you were falling asleep, but it wasn’t like that at all. I am prone to migraines and I have prescribed meds for them that when I take them they make me very sleepy and it just so happened I had a migraine when we sat down to eat so that’s why I was falling asleep. Hoping no migraine next year☺ It was still amazing though!
There were extra magic hours that night so instead of staying for Illuminations we decided to go use our fp for Soarin and then we checked the wait for the nemo ride and it was five minutes so we hopped right on that(the five minutes was all walking through what would have been a line earlier in the day.) Back track a little…DF loves to make fun of me on Soarin because even though I know we aren’t really moving a whole lot I still hold on for dear life. The guy next to me actually looked at me like I was insane because he little five year old wasn’t even holding on and I had white knuckles. I enjoy the ride and I love it…I just feel weird about being in the air. I know don’t what it is. Lol. It makes me laugh at myself. We hit up spaceship earth, which had no wait for emh. I think it was pretty nifty. Has anyone else rode it since they started the refurb? I read it was going to be completely done in feb of 08 I think. So I am looking forward to that. I think what was there so far was pretty nifty though. We were hungry by this point since we had ate so early so df and I made our last stop the electric umbrealla before returning to our room to open our stocking stuffers and relax. It was a semi early night. We wanted to be rested up for the next morning(Christmas morning in the MK.)
Did I mention we had a tree from Disney florist in our room? Did anyone else get one this year? I thought they were really pretty. Not that I have anything to compare them to because it was our first. I walked into our room that night and something felt odd under my feet. I looked down and df had rose petals sprinkled all over the floor and bed. They were awesome and the room smelled so great! He was sad though because Disney florists had forgotten to leave something else he had for me that was a surprise. So the front desk brought it down for us(there was a mix up they thought it wasn’t suppose to be delivered until Christmas day.) It was this huge white basket that was basically proclaiming me a princess. It had a certificate saying I was proclaimed a princess by Cinderella and it was framed. Then there was a pillow to sit my glass slipper on that was also in the basket. I’ll post some pictures. It was amazing! There was also champagne in there, but I didn’t end up drinking any because of my migraine earlier in the day. In df’s stocking there was a bunch of kitchen stuff for him. He cooks mostly, but I also do some. So it was kinda for me too. Does anyone else shop like that? Buy stuff for their df or dh that they like, but that they’ll like too? Lol. It worked out well because he liked it and I like it as well so we’ll both get to use it. I bought him measuring cups with Mickey’s body parts, kitchen towel and pot holder and a lose leaf Mickey shaped tea holder thingy ma bob.(yes that’s the scientific name) Lol. There were also Mickey body part clip/magnets in there and another set of magnets. I have to say there should have been more in that stocking b/c I spent 84 bucks at the store. Lol. Money doesn’t go very far at Disney, but that’s alright because we had saved up for shopping. ☺ “Santa” was very good to me. Not only did I get my basket, but I also got a 14k gold Mickey head charm for my necklace. I also got some mints, Disney jibbits ( I love my Disney jibbits!!), two pins (b/c as I mentioned I am a pin collector/trader) He got me one from the resort we stayed at last year and then one from AKL. So I have CSR and AKL, which I thought was pretty thoughtful of him. ☺ He also got me a really cute ornament of the castle. I loved it! In the shape of mickeys head of course! After opening stockings we were done for the night and off to bed with visions of mickey and Minnie dancing in our heads. For the next morning we were off to MK to spend Christmas morning there and have breakfast with our friends from the 100 acre woods!!!

Day 3 Merry Christmas from Disney World!!!
There was no sleeping in on day three. I was certainly not going to miss my chance to visit with Pooh and his friends from the 100 acre woods @ Crystal Palace for breakfast. What a great way to spend Christmas morning! Our reservation was for 8:05…I actually think we might have been just a few minutes late, but that was due to the line we had to stand in to have our bags checked. While on the subject of bags I forgot to mention that DF had gotten me a hot pink bagalini (sp?) to take on our trip and it worked out great! You probably won’t see it in most pictures since we sat our items down for Disney photo pass pictures mostly. It was an over the shoulder one and had a pocket for my cell phone…it actually had a ton of pockets that became annoying when having to go through the bag check line, but totally worth it. I loved toting my bagalini around Disney world…I could even squeeze my zip up hoodie in there when I got to hot to wear it. Now on with the trip report!!! We were seated and got our food as pooh and his friends had not started to make the rounds yet. I was very tired since I was fighting off my cold. The waitress asked if we wanted coffee, but I declined due to the fact I have a sensitive stomach. She looked at me like I was crazy, but that’s alright. She kept asking if we were okay the whole time…I think it was more like are you awake yet? I was by the end of the meal. (I’m not a morning person) Lol. I love crystal palace we had breakfast there last year and I love Winnie the pooh as well so this is a good place for us to visit and we’ll continue to try to go there for as long as we go to Disney. ☺ While I was eating Tigger snuck up behind me and put his paws over my eyes and kinda scared me, which was cute. The little girls at the next table hid under the table so the characters wouldn’t stop there. We found that kind of humorous. From where we were sitting we could see people streaming in down main street toward the castle, which was no surprise since we had heard from everyone and read that the MK usually closed to capacity on Christmas Day. The bus driver even cautioned us before we got off the bus. He said he had been working in Disney for 15 years and the only advice he could offer all of us was to be patient because we were going to be elbow to elbow with about fifty thousand people. As soon as he told us that I slightly freaked as I am not huge on being a sardine in crowds. Somehow we managed to avoid to much of the packed togetherness. The next day in MGM we heard from a guy we were talking to that the MK had closed at 10:30 am to capacity and was only letting in resort guests and that their count for the day in total had been seventy-five thousand people that walked through the gates of the MK on Christmas day.
We never intended on staying in MK all day on Christmas day so we did what we wanted to do and then got the heck out before it got to crazy. We headed over to Tomorrow Land for a fast pass to buzz light year and got on the Carousel of Progress while we waited for it to be time for Buzz. We sat down and called our families after the Carousel and then rode the “people mover” around tomorrow land. After riding Buzz we walked this path to toon town that was practically empty, but the train ran right along it so it allowed us to get some nice pictures of the train that we might not have not have otherwise gotten. We love to take pictures. In fact we bought a new digital camera before going to Disney and we love it! We bought the Cannon rebel xt. I already had a cannon rebel k2 that was a 35mm, but taking flim through airport security can be a little annoying. They opened all the canisters last year and not to mention I’d rather know on the spot if I got the shot or not. We got on the train in toon town and rode it all the way around and then got off at the main street exit and shopped a little on main street. There weren’t many people in the shops so that was nice. They were all out and about in the park.
After that it was starting to get a little more busy so we decided just to leave and head on back to the resort and open the few presents we had gotten for each other. We decided since it was such a nice day that we would open our presents on the balcony and watch the animals. We took a nap when we were done with that and then we ate a late lunch at Boma, which was delicious!!! I highly recommend the mashed potatoes/sweet potatoes. They were delightful! They mix them together somehow and I loved them! We knew the MK would be way to crowded so we headed over to Epcot to try and walk around the world, but that kind of back fired because there was this santa Mickey I wanted in the American adventure and so we walked all the way there to get him and then once we had him we decided it was time to find a spot for illuminations. We went down these stairs and stood almost right on the railing except for one couple was in front of us, but that wasn’t a big deal since everyone stands once it starts anyways. I think that they might of just gotten engaged because she was hanging all over him and they were being super lovey and it reminded me of right after DF and I got engaged last year. ☺ I have to say Illuminations was better this year because last yr we had a tree that was slightly in the way, but this year we had nothing but space in front of us. So that was great! Christmas Day was a pretty light day for us. We needed it because we were pretty exhausted, but the next day we were off to MGM, which is no longer MGM. So stay tuned boys and girls for our Christmas adventure. ☺

Anyway, I'm glad you didn't get stampeded on Christmas day, I'm sure it was packed!
Yum, yes sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes are actually a really good combo. I had them at Le Cellier, but hopefully next trip we'll go to Boma. :)
Keep the updates coming, they make me feel the Disney magic!

Day 4 MGM one of our last times(before the name change)
Day four was a great day because it was the day that we went to MGM. Besides MK I think MGM is probably my other favorite. Although there isn’t much in the way of rides for df and I since we aren’t thrill ride enthuesitis. There are still quite a few things to see and do. Not to mention the random movie stars walking about or little skits in the middle of the street crack me up! We got in room dining this morning and then were on our way to MGM. I was quite sad to see that they had taken down the MGM signs on the arch way inside of MGM, but I have pictures from last year so that’ll be just fine. For anybody who dosen’t know they recently changed their name to Disney Hollywood studios or so we were told by the nice announcer lady on the backlot tour so if I got that wrong blame the cm that told us. Haha.
Once we arrived at MGM we had some photopass pictures taken and then we started to make our way toward the hat. Well people were already lining up for the character greetings that were going to take place so we found out which line was what and got in line for Minnie and goofy and they were in their Christmas outfits. Not that it matters, but imo they looked super cute and I wanted to have my picture taken with them! Yes, I can be a kid at times. ☺ The characters don’t stay out very long so we weren’t able to make it to anyone else’s line, but the only other line we wanted to be in was Mickey and Pluto’s. So, we rode the great movie ride and when we came out it basically dumped us right into that line so everything worked out just fine! They were also dressed up for Christmas. Afterwards we decided to go get a fast pass to Lights Motor Action.
Now we saw this last year, but for some reason I didn’t really like it then…it might have been because we walked in late on it so that kind of ruined it and for some reason or another I was upset with df when we went to see it last year. Maybe because he was rushing around again perhaps? See a common theme here? Lol. Well despite all that it was excellent this year! I really liked it and if you haven’t seen it and your going anytime in the near future I highly recommend it, but make sure you either get a fast pass or arrive early to stand in line because the show does fill fast from what I’ve seen and been told. While we waited for the crowd to die down we got a soft pretzel and sat down on the streets of America and once the crowd died down we went to go see Woody. We were going to see buzz, but they had to go and not to mention I had already met buzz at mk so it wasn’t really a tragedy or anything.
From there we headed toward the Muppet 3-d vision and I pin traded with one of the cm’s…of course! Then we watched that and headed to our dinner reservation at Brown Hat Derby to take a few pics outside of the topiaries first and then go inside to relax and eat some good food. We got the cobb salad for the appetizer and everyone rants and raves about it, but I just thought it was okay. That’s just me though…and take note that I am not a huge salad person so maybe that’s why I didn’t really like it? A little funny story…well at least I think it is. Last year there was a hostess that had some really cool looking pins and we were like oh we’ll just catch her on her way back to the front well she disappeared on us. Then when I went to the bathroom this yr I saw another hostess that had some cool pins and I was like well I’ll just catch her when I come out of the bathroom. Nope she too disappeared and I never saw her again even after our meal. So I learned my lesson. If I see some cool pins I better stop and trade otherwise the person is going to poof into thin air! Lol. Our dinner was really delicious! Df had venison and duck. I tried the duck…it didn’t taste bad at all and I must say that is awfully adventurous of me! So I am very proud. He tried to trick me into eating the venison, but then realized it wasn’t possible because I was getting suspicious.
We had the Fantasmic package so we got the special seating for fantasmic, which isn’t really all that special it just is kind of like a fast pass and lets you go in a special entrance and they have an area for the dinner package people to sit in. I love love love love LOVE Fantasmic!!!! So much so that we saw it three times while we were in Disney last year and twice this year! Does anybody else share this love? I have some pictures so I will be posting them. On our way to the entrance to Fantasmic we saw this little show in the middle of the street. There was a guy with a plunger standing on top of one of the buildings and then another guy was in the street talking up to him. It was like a little comedy skit and it was rather humorous, but it just kept going and going and sadly we had to be on our way. So we turn the corner and keep making our way and then there is another little skit going on in the middle of the street where this lady is sitting in a little carriage and there are two guys offering up all this stuff to get her to pick one of them for her husband or boyfriend…whatever it was. I couldn’t hear well because obviously they were mic’ed and we weren’t standing super close, but they were pretty funny!! The one guy sat down on the bench with someone in the crowd and put his arm around her and started talking to her, which was amusing. To me at least. ☺ EMH were this night at MGM so we decided to take advantage and stay a little later so we could not have to rush through the Osborne Lights and also be able to do anything else we might want to do. Osborne Lights were awesome last year, but they were ten times better this year!!! Want to know why? There was a better flow…they actually had people directing you which way to go so there wasn’t a massive crowd of people trying to go whatever way they wanted to go. Also with the nice flow they had came with the the opportunity to have photopass people back there so you can have your picture taken with the lights in the backround, which they didn’t have last year! So I was pretty excited about that. Yes, it doesn’t take much to please me. Lol.
So once we were done strolling through the lights we headed over to the Disney animation thingy ma bob. I don’t know if its called Disney animation or not…bare with me its getting late and I am sleepy. Hehe. We watched how they do the animation and stuff with the little Dragon, Mushu. Sooo cute! Although I must admit I’ve never seen Mulan. Sad, but true. ☹ Well there was something different in there this year…there were character greetings. Although we missed Remy and Emile from Ratatouille because they had to go…we were told that some other characters would be coming out in about ten minutes are so. Well all of a sudden we see all these people go running. I mean it was crazy! It was like the world was going to end…All this over Mickey and Minnie. So we went and stood in line…we just walked because we knew Mickey and Minnie weren’t going anywhere. At least not for 20 minutes or so. ☺ I haven’t seen them together before so I thought that would be kind of a unique picture to have so we stood there and the line wasn’t long. I was wearing my mickey charm on my necklace that df had gotten me and Minnie pointed to it and then said I and drew a little heart and pointed to my necklace. She was telling me she loved it. I said aww Minnie…I love it too! Then she made sure to point it out to mickey and he was doing a little laugh thing. They were so cute!!! Like I said at times I can be a big kid! This was about it for MGM.
Although we did a little shopping (mainly looking although we did buy hoodies because we were cold on this particular night) on the way out and also a little pin trading and of course had to grab some food because we had ate so early ( I think at four we ate this day) So I was starving! This is where I got one of my most special pins. I was about to walk out of out of the turn styles when I saw a cm wearing a lanyard so I stopped and looked. She had a white one with blue writing on it that says doorway to dreams so I traded for that one. More about that pin on day six or seven I believe. ☺ We went back to the hotel to visit with our animal friends and rest of for our next day at Animal Kingdom.

Day 5 Animal Kingdom
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2144/2162718734_ae91e8d0f5.jpg
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2397/2162720764_def11ba4f9.jpg
Day five we started at Animal Kingdom.
I love animal kingdom, but there is a lot of freaking walking there. And as much as I loved the safari last year we decided to pass it up this year due to the fact that we’ve seen many animals outside our room at AKL. Last year we didn’t see many animals on the safari at Animal Kingdom and df and I felt content with the amount we’d see so we decided to take a few photopass pictures and then on our way to finding some lunch we saw a character and stopped. ( sidenote: the reason we stopped for so many characters when we saw them was that df was always rushing us around last yr due to adr’s we missed a lot of character greetings.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2055/2161930717_83ca1bc079.jpg
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2349/2161956335_fc5bd01ca8.jpg
So this yr he promised that as long as we didn’t need to be at an adr that we would stop no matter where we were en route to.) So on the way to find lunch who do we find? This little gorilla from Tarzan…now I’ve never seen this movie, but she was a cutie! I forget her name now…maybe someone remembers? After our short stop to see the little Gorilla we were on our way to Africa to eat lunch. We ate a counter service meal at Tamu Tamu refreshments and before getting in line for that we saw that Baloo the bear from Jungle Book was having a meet and greet. Well I heart Baloo!!!! Unfortantely they cut off the line, but he would be back in 30 minutes so we ate our lunch and lingered then got in line and I got to meet my Baloo!!! That was a great moment for me because we had not met him last year or even seen him anywhere so it was quite exciting to me!
Back track a little back to standing in line for our food. There were a few cm’s making sure everything was running smoothly and they both were wearing pin lanyards. The one was like would you like to look at my lanyard? She was like you had that glare that pin people get. Then the other cm came over and offered her lanyard too. This was only the third time a cm had approached me so I thought that was kind of cool that they take that step to inner act instead of just waiting for someone to approach them. As I recall they had a few good pins that I am sure are currently on my lanyard.

After some lunch we decided it was time to head over to Camp Minnie Mickey to meet the characters over there. I’ll just post pictures of the friends we met. When we were done visiting with the camp Minnie Mickey friends we headed over to line up for Lion King. The wait was about 40 minutes because the other show had just started. It was really hot on this particular day so they let us up closer to the building in the shade to wait for the doors to open. Thank God!!! We saw Lion King last year, but imo this show is just awesome and I really love it!!! It’s a must see if you haven’t ever and even if you have…go back!!! You won’t regret it!
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2131/2162837472_6ab9c57aa7.jpg
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2040/2162856582_d910f2be5b.jpg
Once we were done there we went back to camp Minnie Mickey and discovered that where Daisy Duck had been earlier now was Donald and we hadn’t met him yet on this trip so we decided to take advantage of this opportunity. Once I had my fill of characters in Camp Minnie Mickey we decided that we would skip the parade (we saw it last yr) to go see It’s a Bugs Life, but first we stopped to see Winnie the Pooh and friends. Tigger was really hyper that day…he was dancing and bouncing up around when I went up to see him and he started to mess up me and df’s hair. I love it when characters inner act with you and do silly stuff! He kept going to the edge of the dock and waving over the side of it to the people on the bridge, which I thought was cute!!
It’s a Bugs life was awesome…there were several crying little kids and their moms and dads had to take them out. I felt so bad for them!!! That could be a really scary show for little kids. I need to take a moment to vent about this little girl that was pin trading while we were standing in line. She only spoke Spanish, but her mom taught her to say in English can you just give me one? So the little girl walks up to the cm to look at his pins and points at one and he says what one do you want to give me? She said no trade you just give me one. I was kind of annoyed by this because the mom knew what she was teaching the child and although I knew the cm wouldn’t just give the girl the pin I still didn’t think it was a cool thing to tell your child to do. Maybe its just me. Its like she was trying to take advantage of the system. Okay rant over.:)
We had one last thing we wanted to do and that was the Nemo Musical because we had not got to it last year. Well we went to stand in line and the cm’s said this was for the next show that wasn’t until 6 and our ADR at Jiko was at 6:15 so we had to get out of line because there was obviously no way for us to make our dinner and df had really been looking forward to Jiko. Me? Not so much because I am a picky eater to an extent and I was worried they wouldn’t have food I liked. So we headed out of the park…shopping and pin trading along to the way and made our way back to the resort. We relaxed a little and say hi to our animal friends once back in the room.
Jiko wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The appatizer was really good. I got the chicken flatbread and then for the main course I had bbq short ribs…they were to die for!!! They fell off the bone and melted in my mouth! I would give my right arm to have some of those right now!!!! We will def be eating here again. We went back to the room to rest because we were going to EMH at MK and shop, but I layed down for a bit and ended up crashing really hard so df woke me up and told me to put my pjs on and go back to sleep. Although I was sad that we wouldn’t be making EMH at MK I was to tired to fight with df. Also I knew we would be park hopping the next day and I would need a little extra energy for the hopping and hopefully some shopping!!!

I'm enjoying your report. Congrats on your engagement and upcoming wedding. How sweet to get engaged at CRT!
Your pics are great and so are the videos. Was that a special parade for Christmas Day in the first video? We were in WDW in late Nov-early Dec and I don't remember a parade like that...however, we did have a little mishap right around parade time in the MK that distracted us so I could have just missed it!
We really enjoyed Christmastime at WDW and are also planning to go back next year. Looks like you two are having a blast! We are considering AKL as well...

Aww thank you. I think it was a parade that maybe they show the Week of Christmas? I wasn't expecting this parade...I was expecting the Dreams come true parade or whatever its called. As a side note some of the floats had smells coming from them. There was a gingerbread house that went by that had the smoke shooting out of its chimney that smelled like gingerbread! Yum!!! When are you guys going back next yr? We're thinking about a four day disney cruise for our honeymoon and then going in dec a few weeks before Christmas. :) I can't wait!!! I would def go to AKL and try your best to get a savanah view room. :goodvibes

Day 6 Jumping around a little
This morning we woke up and said hello to our friends outside. We saw the Zebra, the big African cattle and of course my favorite friends…the Giraffes!!! http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2400/2161363031_955608e420.jpg
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2199/2162978928_a36f6e9be7.jpg
We ate at the counter service place at AKL. Its called The Mara…this is the closest we got to seeing the pool. Once again we had such a busy trip (like last yr) that we didn’t get to swim at all. Its okay that we didn’t swim, but I would of at least liked to have gotten to see the pool better than just walking by. Lol. After breakfast (I had the mickey waffle by the way and it was delicious!!!)
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2413/2162195049_fa225f11ce.jpg
we made our way to the bus stop and got on the AK bus. We still needed to check out Nemo The Musical as we had missed it the day before and also last year. We got there for the first show and waited about 30 or 40 minutes, but let me tell you this was well worth the wait!!! I loved it very much!!! Anyone going to AK should defiantly put this on your list of things to do!!! I wish I had some pictures, but they said you weren’t allowed to take any for the safety of the actors/actresses. Let me just say that the lady that was playing Dory on this particular day was made for this role!!! She was full of personality and tons and tons of energy….I just can’t say enough good things about her or the show. After we were done at The Nemo Musical we got a few pictures by the tree of life and then headed out of AK.
Before we depart AK for the last time I must share my coffee hoodie story with ya’ll. Well we were standing in line waiting to get our picture taken with the tree of life in the backround and all of a sudden I get hit really hard from behind and this caused me to kind of run into df who was standing in front of me. I look back and there is this older man that had run into me. Normally I wouldn’t be so upset, but for whatever reason this morning I was cranky and this guy wasn’t even going to apologize until someone in his group made him. If it would have been a small hit I wouldn’t of minded, but the fact that I hit df made it a bit of a bigger deal. So he said sorry and I realized he was carrying coffee. Imedatly I was feeling all over the back of my brand new Disney hoodie I was wearing. Of course he had gotten some on my hoodie. Luckily it was a brown hoodie. Now that hoodie is known as the coffee hoodie. I didn’t let it ruin my day, but I was pretty upset until df calmed me down and said it wasn’t a lot of coffee and it’d be fine he promised. So we took our pictures and headed out of AK. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2182/2162196265_5b5ecc5734.jpg this is the coffee hoodie and also these are what my best friend calls my golfer shorts even though I don't golf. Lol.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2185/2163002018_6076d0f628.jpg roar!!!!
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2212/2162947234_169202a1d3.jpg aww baby simba!!!
We were heading on to MGM to catch a meet and greet with the Monsters on Commissary Ave. Now I’ll admit I’ve never seen Monsters Inc, but these guys were incredibly cute and I just had to meet them!!! So we did and I did a little pin trading while standing in line. This is where I found one of my favorite pins. It is a rectangle and its light blue with a hidden mickey on it, but it also has Cinderella. It’s a cm only pin and I loved it!!! They told me that this was a set of five and that they had just come out about a week ago. Immediately the wheels in my head started to turn wondering when and where I would be able to find the rest of this set!!! Turns out I didn’t find any the rest of the trip ,but about a week ago df bid on them on ebay and surprised me with them so now I have all five!!! After visiting with our monster friends we had lunch at the Studio Catering Company ( I heart this place!!!)
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2101/2163015048_f0b4da3e0f.jpg
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2330/2163138220_5f4d63bf54.jpg
We are there last year and it was pretty good for counter service so we decided to return again this year. Afterwards we went on the backlot tour. I have another story here about the backlot tour.http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2062/2162250709_57b6b69786.jpg
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2006/2162285481_90668810dd.jpg
Not really the tour itself, but something that happened while on it. Well df is big on cramming things into his pocket, which can often be annoying because he can never find anything when he wants it because not only was he carrying a bag, but he was also shoving things in his pockets. Well on this particular attraction he decided to place the lens cap to our brand new pretty camera in his pocket. We were getting toward the end so he reached in his pocket and tried to get out the lens cap, which was stupid. He should of waited until we got out. Well you guessed it. He ended up dropping it and it slid right through the little gap in the door and onto the pavement. I thought for sure it would be crushed but it wasn’t. We saw it as we turned and came to a stop. I heard oh crap. I said what happened? He said I dropped our lens cap. I immediately start harping this is why you don’t shove stuff in your pockets and why were you even trying to get it out anyways and blah blah etc. (Yes, I get cranky at times…df tells me I need a cookie when I get like that…aka food to boost my blood sugar. Lol) Also in my defense my body was super sore and I was fighting off a cold. Lol. So anyways. He finds a cm and tells them what he did and that cm gets another cm and he goes and runs and gets it for us without it getting crushed or anything. Thank God!!! The last thing we need on our brand new camera is a scratched lens. We thank them over and over and then move on

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2081/2162309873_142cb013fe.jpg
. Then we decided that we would go meet Ratatouille. So we went to go stand in line. I think we might of stood in that line longer than when we were at the character connection at Epcot. I was going to get out of line, but by this time we had already invested about 15 or 20 minutes so I was like eh we’ll just stick it out. The lady in front of us was talking to another lady so listening to them was pretty entertaining. I can’t tell you how happy I am I stayed in that line!!! These guys were so cute and playeful!! Remy gave me a kiss and signed my book then he took the pen and tried to give it to Emil , but of course you know he had to play games!!! He stuck it up his nose instead of handing it to him and they played around for a few minutes while Remy was holding my hand and what not. Finally we pose for some pictures (the reason these guys had such a long line was because they were so interactive. And of course they had to take a break to go get food right before us, but that worked out great because df got a cute pic when they came back out.) I was trying to leave and Remy had a hold of my arm and was slowly letting it run through his hand as I left and looking sad and stuff. It was so cute! I said aww I’m sorry I have to go. I loved it! I am such a big kid!! After visiting with our character friends it was time to leave MGM.

We had ADR’s at Epcot for this evening so we headed toward Epcot. We still needed to get through world showcase and today was NOT the day it got done! Lol. We rode the little boat across and happened upon belle and the beast so we waited in line for them forever. We had went over there to get Santa Mickey ( a plush I wanted) in the American Adventure. After we found him that’s when we happened upon Belle and the Beast and the it was time for our ADR at Garden Grille so we headed that way.http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2297/2163148032_3eded5cf6c.jpg
I’ve never ate here before, but it sounded like a good place to eat and for anyone who might not know it also rotates and is a character meal so right off the bat I was pretty excited!!! We were seated pretty quickly. Luckily I had enough time to take a potty break before we got in there because otherwise I might not of found our table. Lol. We asked our waiter if he ever got confused about where his tables were. He said who could forget you guys? Very nice sir. Hehe. I love Disney cms they are so nice!! Most of them at least! Our guy at BrownHat Derby wasn’t so great on the drink refills. We’re talking about the Garden Grille though! ☺ Mickey, Chip,Dale, and Pluto were here and they made a few trips around so we got plenty of pictures and of course I got their autographs. It was kind of cute the kids next to us were a little confused about Pluto. They kept calling him Goofy and he was acting like he was mad and holding up his tag that said Pluto. Mickey told df that he would see him around…well didn’t tell him, but kind of made signs in his own special Mickey way!! I thought that was cute! I had a great time at this restaurant.
I also liked the fact that you could see the various scenes of the living with the land ride. Although it was family style dinning that didn’t seem to bother me to much. They brought us less of the portions since we were obviously only two people, which was good because I hate wasting food and I have a rather small stomach. The dessert was the best!!! It was homemade apple crisp!!! I could of ate this all day it was so delicious and wonderful!! Afterwards we went to check out how long the wait for The nemo ride was(the clam shell.) It said five minutes, but really the whole five minutes we were just walking to get to the boarding area. So we rode that and then we thought we’d check out the wait for Soarin’ since it was getting close to time for Illuminations. No such luck. Still a two and a half hour wait! Forget that we had already rode it and were happy with that
. So we shopped and rode Spaceship Earth. There was no wait for this also. I liked the new stuff in it. I thought it was pretty nifty. Here is a little tid bit I was reading about online yesterday. I read that there is a staircase in there and cm’s can go all the way to the top. I wouldn’t want to do this, but I thought that was an interesting bit of info. I especially thought the little video at the end was really cute!! Did anybody else like it or not like it? Let me know I am interested to know what other people think. I also thought the little interactive area afterwards was cute as well. Although we didn’t play around in there since we were quite tired. That was it for this day. It was a rather exhausting day with all the park hopping, but well worth it. I thought we got a lot done and had a lot of fun!!! We headed back to our room and cleaned up a bit and started getting ready to pack up the next day. We aren’t done yet!!! The next morning we headed on over to MK for the last time this trip.:(

Thanks for coming by!!! I am enjoying your trippie immensely. You have great pics as well!!! You and dh make such a cute couple!!!! If you look at the times guide it will tell you when and where the characters are. We didn't really realize that till a little later in the trip last yr. So this yr we knew and I also knew from looking at peoples trippie's where some of the characters hang out. Some lines are really long and others aren't horrible at all. I would recommend camp minnie/mickey at AK you can meet five diff characters with minimal wait time. :) I hope to find even more next yr! I saw in someone elses trippie they found burt and a penguin from mary poppins in the american adventure. I love that movie so I hope I can scope them out! Maybe you'll hunt some down next yr and the waits won't be to long:goodvibes :thumbsup2

Day 7 Jumping around again
On our last day we headed to CRT for an early breakfast before the park was open. (actually I think the park opened right after our reservation time) We were running slightly late for our breakfast, but we couldn’t pass up the photopass people in front of the castle as the park was still fairly empty.

They made up pick up our pal mickey and have him in the picture since we payed so much for him. Lol. It was different to have pal mickey in the pics and I thought it was cute so I didn’t argue.
We got to CRT and Cinderella asked me if DF was my prince charming and I said he was. She asked if she could take his arm and I said that was fine and we had our pictures taken.

Then rode the elevator up to the restaurant. I was excited to be back at CRT since this is where df had proposed last year(only that was at dinner and not breakfast) We had a hot breakfast…that’s what they call it. We had eggs, some type of berry stuffed French toast which was awesome! We had our wishing stars and df even asked the waitress if I could have a wand because they hadn’t given me one. Yes, I am 24, but shouldn’t you offer me a wand anyways? I am a big kid. Lol. So I got my wand and proceeded to wack df with it the rest of the day. Lol. Don’t worry I didn’t hit him hard. Lol. We had the wishing ceremony and then the princesses made their rounds. They all were very nice. I have to admit Alice was my favorite because she was the most animated. She saw our Pal Mickey sitting on the table next to me and she started talking to him and asking him questions. Shes like hello sir, how are you today? He obviously didn’t answer and shes like hello? Hello? And saying some stuff and getting closer to his face. Finally I was like he dosen’t talk. She was like oh…lol she was so disappointed. Lol. Very entertaining and she told us to have a golden afternoon.http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2213/2163228760_d66fd74e10.jpg

I loved this breakfast! It’s a tie with cp imo. We got to meet Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, Aurora, and Belle. After breakfast at CRT we went to Sir Mickeys behind the castle and bought a few things for us and I believe I found a shirt for my sister this morning too. Then we headed toward main street to shop our way out of the park. It was time to say goodbye to MK we bought some pins and looked in the shops and traded a little and headed out and say goodbye to Mk. So sad!!! There is more though! We took the monorail over to Epcot to Walk around the World!!!!

Yea hes just a sweet guy! Hehe. Yea, memories came back. It was nice to go for breakfast though since dinner isn't really a character meal. The mice came around at dinner, but they don't sign and you can barely get a pic with them. So breakfast was a nice change although I have to admit I was a little sad b/c I wanted to sit at or near the table we sat at for the engagement.:)Thanks for stopping by:goodvibes

Maybe we'll be in WDW at the same time in dec!!!! That would be neat to meet up one day for lunch or something!!! The end is coming near for the report glad you've stuck with me. :)
That sounds like fun! Are you planning on Dec. again? That's wonderful to hear because using your trip as example, it sounds like the most magical time ever! I'm starting my itinerary and I'm already crazy. There is just so much to do and I want to do everything!!! Maybe you can give me some tips. ;)
Again, I just want to say I love your trip report. It always brings a smile to my day. Thank you! :goodvibes

I loved CRT too. Being in the castle is just cool. Too bad you werent seated near or at your engagement table - that would have been awesome. We didnt have Alice at our breakfast - we got Jasmine instead. Honestly, I dont even know if Abby would have known who Alice was. She has seen the movie a few times, but never talks about Alice.
So sad, leaving the MK... :(

Yes, a trip in dec for honeymoon part two! Hurray! (Df dosen't get enough time off for our honeymoon in July.) When are you thinking about going? I can give you any tips you might want. I've ate at several resturaunts. Stayed at two resorts and I know a wealth of info. Maybe not as much as some other people on the boards, but I can always do my best:thumbsup2 You should do a trippie when you go!!! I would love to read it!

Yes so sad that I almost cried! I might have had it been the last thing we were doing and it was last yr, but we decided to end this yr at MGM since df knows how much I love Fantasmic! Aww you need to teach little Abby who Alice is b/c she is awesome! I didn't get into Alice until I was a little older. Cinderella was my thing when I was her age.
No need to apologize for the pics! They are the best part! We can see how beautiful everything was!!! I will definitely be staying at AKL someday! Sweet! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. I can't wait to go back!!!

If you want silly pics like that you just have to ask the photopass people they are more than happy to do it for ya. Also some of the posses they made us do themselves so between them and us I think we got some good ones. I get my ideas from other peoples trippies too. Makes it more fun then you don't have standard pics like everyone else:thumbsup2

We caught the monorail to Epcot because we still needed to make our way around the world. So that’s just what we did! Keep in mind I was disappointed already because we were leaving the next day and I had only seen Mary Poppins in Mk, but all three times we saw her she was walking toward a building as we had just missed her. So I was sad that I hadn’t gotten to meet her. She was the only one I still wanted to meet that I hadn’t yet.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2027/2160974631_44c7668eef.jpg
We started in Mexico and worked our way around the world, but before we started our journey around the world we had to stop at the pin trading location on our way back to the world. There were a lot of pin traders with all their books of pins and I was buying a few pins while df was browsing this one guys pins. He was super chatty with us and he had over ten thousand pins. He didn’t have all of them with him, but he did have quite a few and I liked quite a few. Well he also liked one of mine. The door way to dreams pin I have mentioned previously in this report. Well he spotted that one and was like is that one up for trade if we can work something out? Now normally I would have traded this man since he had some cute pins I wanted, but the fact that he had over ten thousand pins and he knew that out of his ten thousand without even looking that he didn’t have this particular pin was making me feel pretty darn special. Like I had something that was of value so I wasn’t about to give it up. The fact that he wanted it so bad was making me want to keep it that much more. So we talk to him a bit and then we head on back to the world. I could tell when we left him that he was pretty disappointed, but there wasn’t anything that really stood out in his books. Sure there were things that were cute, but there wasn’t anything that I had to have. Like I said we started in Mexico and rode the boat ride. We had never been on this and since it was a walk on we decided to go ahead and do it.

It was soooo hot this day...I felt horrible for these guys, but they were amazing!
Then we made our way around the world. Stopping to take a few pictures here and there and also to do pin trading.

I think I traded in just about every country and I found some good pins too! When we got to Morocco we saw Aladdin and since I hadn’t met him we decided to stop. The line wasn’t to long and we was quite nice. He called me princess and talked to us a little bit and when he signed my book he threw it up in the air and did a little flip with it. It was pretty sweet! Those guys always have little tricks up their sleeves.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2196/2162533193_7c3a1642fb.jpg
as you can see my lanyard is pretty full of pins:thumbsup2

We stopped along the way throughout the countries looking for pins or last minute souvies that we wanted to purchase. We got to the UK and I asked df if he wanted to buy some tea in the tea store. He was like no that’s alright I don’t need to. I said come on lets go in because the other day you really wanted some. So we did and he did end up finding some tea he wanted to purchase. Its really good too if you’ve never bought tea from there and were wondering. Then we went in the toy store and browsed. We came out and I had to take a potty, but all of a sudden who do I see?!!! It was Mary Poppins!!! She was coming out to visit with people. Hurray…the only person I wanted to see and had not gotten to see! Had we not stoped in the tea store and toy store we would of totally missed her! That was such great luck on our behalf! I was so excited. The lines were forming quickly so I got in line. There wasn’t a photopass person, but that wasn’t a problem. DF knew how much I love Mary Poppins (shes 2nd after Cinderella of course) so he took our picture and she asked me where I had come from and I said Ohio. She asked me if I used my umbrella to get there and I said of course! She said that she found hers to be quite trusty. I loved it she was so awesome! I was floating after that! :cloud9:

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2101/2162549663_21cb1bdfa0.jpg
So we made our way to Canada and traded a few more pins and then we were done and we took the little path back toward the front of the park. On the way we stopped to take some reflection pictures and I have to say I think df did an awesome job! I will however take the credit for having the idea to do the reflection pictures!

df is wearing girl sunglasses he didn't realize it when he bought then and I will forever make fun of him for this! :rotfl:
We made a stop at Mouse Gear and then stopped by the pin trading place once again and the guy noticed we were back.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2065/2163373224_6fc18f5739.jpg
He thought he was going to get that pin! Ha! Nope..I just wanted to stop back by and talk to him a little more because df had some questions for him. Well while df and him were in mid conversation a cm walked by that had just gotten his lanyard refreshed and mostly with cast member exclusive pins so this guy drops conversation in mid sentence with df and him and several other people pratically attack this poor cm. I was a little scared. Lol. I wanted to trade though too so I waited for the Tigers to attack and then I said can I please look at your pins? They pretty much wiped him out, but I found a super cute bear pin that is a set of five and df just found the set on ebay about a week ago so now I have all five! They are cast member exclusive pins and have the hidden mickeys on the bears. Sooo cute! So we said goodbye to this guy and were on our way out of Epcot saying goodbye to it too. We went back to the resort to pack up some stuff and to grab some lunch at the Mara. Up next...our last night in WDW:sad1:

We arrived back at AKL and started to pack up stuff and get ready to leave so we could enjoy our last night at MGM. We took some pictures of the animals and of the resort and then were on our way to MGM for the last time. This would be our last park for the trip so I was rather sad, but ready to go! I was jazzed about all the pins I had traded in Epcot and I couldn’t wait to find some more at MGM.

It was EMH at MGM on the last night so we were able to get everything done in more than enough time! We got there and walked around a little bit and then decided it was time to head for Fantasmic.

We were standing in line to get a drink when it started. I freaked out! I was like oh no, we’re missing it! DF reassured me that I wasn’t missing anything good(its all good to me!) Silly guy! Then we hurried over there and found that we had to stand in the way back, which actually wasn’t horrible minus the teenagers that would not stop talking next to us. Believe me when I say I was not crushed when they decided to leave about ten minutes into the show! Lol. So, we stood there and watched Fantasmic and enjoyed it even though we were in the back. I actually could see everything quite well from where we were standing.

Afterwards we waited for the place to clear out before deciding to walk out. Even though we waited we still ended up like a herd of cattle. I expect that in Disney though and it had kind of become a theme throughout the trip. I don’t know if I mentioned this or not, but we did do the adventures of the little mermaid. Perhaps it was on this day? I don’t remember now as everything is running together in my head. Once we were out of the herd of people we proceeded to shop down one side of the street. I found some really great pins and souvies as well. Then we decided to stand in line to get our photopass cd. I traded pins in there as well. We got the cd and we also got to pick three 5x7 pictures for free with any kind of design on them since we were purchasing the cd. That made me pretty excited since we don’t normally go through and add boarders to our pictures. The line wasn’t to long at all for the photopass cd so I was glad that we did it when we did instead of waiting until the end of the night. We had 240 photo pass pictures so the cd was more than worth the money. I only wish df had pre ordered the cd so we could of saved a little money, but time got away from us and we forgot like we usually do before we go on a trip. Lol.
At this point it was time to get our EMH bracelets and also find a bite to eat so that’s just what we did. After we refueled we decided to shop around some more down the other side of the street. Also pin trading a long the way. Most of our stuff we had shipped home since we didn’t want to be carrying a ton in our suitcases as they were already getting pretty full just from the blankets we had bought and souvies we had bought for our families. Finally we were done shopping and it was time to leave the park and go back to the resort to pack anything else we might need to pack up. The next morning we were leaving AKL and Disney and not coming back till the next dec. Or were we?

Aww thank you. I don't know how I feel about that picture. Although I think it is starting to grow on me. One of my faves is the one where he is carrying me piggy back. I like that pic...I posted it earlier in the tr. It has not come to a end yet, but I am sad that its almost over. :( Guess you'll have to stick around to find out if we're going back;)

I know its so sad! I have a little bit of news though so I'll be sharing that when I finish up my trippie.:) Scrapbooking is very time consuming. Especially with me b/c I have to go through all my stuff and find the stickers I plan to use while working on the pages I'm working on and then I have to find paper and blah blah etc. Usually takes a few hours to get 2-3 pages done. So worth it in the end. I love to scrapbook! I've been working on an album for dfs sister with her little girls in it. I have to toot my own horn and say it looks pretty good. I have two pages left and then I can mail it to her! Only been working on the darn thing since like Nov I think..maybe sooner. Ran out of pics for a while until she took more at Christmas and what not. Thanks for stopping by:)

Great update!!! (as usual) The two pictures of you and DF are adorable! :) I too am a scrapbooker - you are right, very time consuming!! I am sitting down tonight to order my pictures of Disney (October trip!!!) It should be an easy task - hahahahahahaha!!!! Pray for me. Though, doing my trip report leads me to believe that the actual scrapbook should be easier, I think. Kind of like I've dont the hard part, now I just have to put it all together? Make sense? I just need to print the TR and put it in the scrapbook.
Oh well...I will wait for Sunday night for the end of your TR and the news on when you are going back.....(well, I guess the honeymoom trip I know about, but is there something else??????)

aww thank you...last yr in all our pics I had my hand (showing off my brand new engagment ring) on his stomach and it looked strange like he had a baby in there or something since its kinda big. Hehe. I told him I would try my hardest not to put my hand on his stomach this yr and it worked. Thank Goodness. Made for some nice pics. I have to say my faves are the ones where we are being silly or hugging each other, but thank you. :goodvibes Maybe I should print my report for our scrapbook. DF would have to do it at work and it would only be black and white. Maybe. I'll talk to him and see what he thinks about the idea. I think the pictures themselves tell a rather nice story. :) But I have the report saved in word(I type it up in word first in case the DIS decides to crash on me. That way I save myself heartache. It makes sense. At least to me it did, but I am a fellow scrapper so I understand. We printed a ton of pics from disney in dec. It was like a hundred and something dollars at wal greens I think. lol. We'll put what we don't use in albums or picture frames so its all good. Hopefully I'll post tomorrow night. Remember I said no promises. Lol. :rolleyes1

you can go there and pre order for like 99 dollars I believe. then when you get to the parks just tell those phtographers that you preordered the cd...i think they'll be more likely to take more pictures to make it worth your money:) If you don't preorder I believe we paid around 130 plus tax or something like that.

Check out day:
We woke up pretty early on check out day. I don’t remember what time, but we had to take a shower and get ready and do our little last minute packing. I was so sad. I took a shower and got ready and we said good bye to our animal friends and took some of their pictures.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2226/2163444710_c907105faa.jpg aww they were being cute and saying bye hehe
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2407/2162632251_e9fc6e1be3.jpg excuse my lazy eye...whenever I am tired it tends to act like that :rotfl: so sad we're leaving
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2273/2162629141_c10f2e55d9.jpg are you taking my picture? lol df thinks its funny to take pics of me when I am exhausted
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2083/2162624177_3fc0fcd055.jpg remember that basket? it was the one df had sent to me from disney florists? I took all the stuff home from it, but had to leave the basket because we didn't have anything to do with it. So i left a note for mousekeeping and told them to take it. :goodvibes
Finally someone came to pick up our luggage and told us that if they were over weight that we would have the chance to redistribute, but if something was to heavy they wouldn’t be able to take it b/c they had no way to charge for it. They informed us that the one seemed a little heavy, but they’d let the front desk weigh it. So, we said goodbye to our room and our animal friends and made our way to the lobby to check in for our flight and get our luggage taken care of. On the way our the bag guy (what the heck is their technical name? lol) was like someone looks worn out or something to that effect and he was referring to me. I was beyond exhausted. I was super sad to leave, but I was so exhausted that I couldn’t really fight it to much. We had a jam packed week in the parks and I pretty much ran myself into the ground not to mention I had been fighting that cold all week, which wasn’t helping matters.
We get all checked in and they weigh our bags and one bag is over ten pounds and one is under ten pounds so they let us redistribute our weight and the bag only ended up being over by a pound so they agreed to take it. Thank God…we didn’t need to go buy extra luggage in the gift shop…although I secretly wanted some Disney luggage. Lol. We went in the gift shop and looked around a little. I think I bought a couple pins and then we went outside to wait for the magical express to come. While we were waiting we took a few pics and I pin traded with a cm who seemed to be in a real rush and kind of annoyed that I wanted to trade. Okay, if you don’t want to trade then don’t wear a lanyard around your neck…simple as that. I got a good pin though that ended up being part of a set and df found the rest of the set for me shortly after we got home. What a great df he is!!!:) The cm was kind of a big wig I think…he was checking his black berry…probably late to a meeting or something. Who knows?
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2270/2162664197_176e68f377.jpg minnie and i waiting for the bus...not sure why i'm smiling...I was sad, but you can tell I am beyond tired lol.
Finally the ME was there and we bid a farewell to the AKL, but first before we left the building we rubbed the little wooden thing they have on the wall before you walk out the doors. Its suppose to bring you good luck. We also did this every day of our trip so we would have a great time in the parks! We rode to the airport and watched the video. We had to stop at the yacht club to rescue some people because another ME bus had broken down and those people needed to get to the airport. It was nice to see the yacht club though since I had never seen it before. I thought it was pretty☺ There was a older man sitting behind us that was singing to his wife…leaving on a jet plane. It was so cute. He had a pretty decent voice too. Then once some children got on the bus that sat by him he sang m-i-c (see ya real soon)…whatever that song is called…he sang it to those little kids and it was so cute and sad because we were leaving Disney and I just wanted to curl up in a ball and cry.
We got to the airport and df rushed me though the Disney store (more unnecessary rushing from df…he can be such a rushy kind of guy sometimes. Especially when it comes to air port or Disney related stuff.) Guess what? We would have had time to look around the gift shop for a few minutes because it didn’t take to long to get through security and we sat on the other side waiting for our plane FOREVER!!! Sigh. On the bright side though I did get one last pin trade in at the airport and it was super cute!!!! Its mickey and Minnie watching the sun set with their arms around each other! I love this pin!!! We got something to eat because we were hungry and something to drink. I got a cinnamon pretzel, but it was stale and my pepsi was a diet so I was mad that we stood in line so long for it (like twenty minutes) and then I couldn’t eat or drink what we had bought. At least we got to eat on the plane. (we sat in first class.) There was a little boy that sat in front of us and you would of never known he was there because he didn’t let out a peep. From what his parents were saying he has flown a lot so I think he was used to it. We had a baby behind us going down to Orlando and she wasn’t happy at all to be on the plane. Crying and everything else. Poor thing. Matt and I fell asleep before the plane even took off, but woke up for take off and once we were in the air we had lunch and then I believe we fell asleep again for quite some time. Or at least I did. I had my Minnie mouse and hung on to her for dear life ( I hate flying so I like to have a plush to squeeze when I fly.) and drifted off to sleep.
We got back to the Detroit airport(it was freezing when we got off the plane and I immediately wanted to go back) and claimed our luggage with practically no problems. A lady came up to me and told me she was glad that I had a bright color ribbon tied on my luggage because she had the same stuff and we might have gotten them mixed up had I not had the ribbon on mine, which is exactly why I put ribbon on my luggage. Makes it easy to spot and fast to claim. ☺ Df’s parents picked us up and we headed back to his house to unpack stuff and then to mine to go out to dinner with my parents and my sister and her boyfriend for his birthday. Of course we couldn’t talk about anything, but Disney. Oh yea, our little wiener dog was so excited to see us. She was practically crawling up my leg for me to pick her up. She is soo cute.
So of course everyone wants to know are you going to Disney sooner than dec? Well yes and no. We are getting married July 19th and since we can’t take a long honeymoon due to df’s work schedule we decided we’d take a four day Disney cruise. I am very excited, but very scared about this too since boats and I don’t have a good history together. I tend to get sea sick so I am rather worried about that. Although I must say I am very excited about visiting disneys private island they own. Our ship will also be docking in Nassau, Bahamas for one day so I am pretty excited about that!!! That is honeymoon part one and then of course honeymoon part two is going to be at wdw in dec. I believe we are going to be staying at AKL again, but we can’t plan our trip until we know a little more about df’s work schedule because usually they have off in dec, but we have to make sure the job won’t run into dec. (he works for a pipeline company. He is the field office manager and we are about to move to Maryland for a job that is suppose to be short, but we have to wait until it starts before they get a feel for how long the job will take.) I think that’s about it. Sometime this week I am going to have a post about what we liked about this trip and what we are planning on doing on our next trip (just because we can’t call and book it dosen’t mean we aren’t already planning. ) lol. So thanks to everyone who has followed us thus far and I hope you’ll come back for one last installment☺

Dramimine (spelling??) comes in two forms, drowsy & NON-drowsy; you might want to try picking up the non-drowsy formula just in case the bracelet fails. Though, I'd bet the ships doctor or gift shop has something for motion sickness right there on board. My mom went on a cruise several years ago and she was sick the "woosy" the first few hours, but after that all was good. Either way - you will have a blast!!!!!

I've taken the non drowsy and it knocked me on my butt. I used to take it before I flew, but now I am comfortable enough to where I don't have to take it and I'm glad I don't need it because I would sleep for like two hours after I got off the plane. Lol. Thank you though. I might try it again. I'm sure i'll be fine, but I still worry. Its what I do. Thanks:)

I have enjoyed reading your TR so much! :goodvibes The pictures were awesome. Now, I'm thinking we'll have to stay at AKL some day, it looked really nice.
Excited to hear about your cruise! I've never been on a cruise before and my DH and I have decided for my 40th birthday we'll take a Disney Cruise. Then, my girls will be old enough to enjoy it.
Thanks for such a great report!:)

Boo Hoo - the dreaded last day!
Congrats on your upcoming cruise. We are also planning our next trip but cannot book yet either - end of November/early December for us again too, but we need to wait for the NFL schedules to come out (I am a Browns season ticket holder and WILL NOT miss any home games - not even for Disney!).

OK, I know this wasnt aimed at me, but my mom & dad lived in Ohio before I was born and my sister was born there - they moved to MI before I was born. My dad now lives in Ohio. He's in Waverly - ever heard of it? It's a small town near Chilocothee. Where are you from?

I don't know where waverly is but I do think I have heard of it and I have heard of Chilocothee for sure. We are indeed in the Cleveland area, which is where both DH and I grew up...I am a huge, die-hard, long-time Browns fan. DH went to OSU so he's a bit more into the Buckeyes. I went to school in Cincinnati and lived there for 8 years. So we are all about Ohio! I know where Waseon, Waverly, and Chillicothe all are...HI to all the former and present Ohioans out there!!! We clearly love our WDW and the DIS, huh?
We are still considering resorts for next year. We didn't love CSR and we like to try a new place each time. We have POFQ, AKL, BC, and WL all on our possibilities list.

Well, we are likely going to WDW with my MIL and SIL again. SIL is really into animals and AK. She wants to spend at least one night in an AKL concierge room so she can do the Sunrise Safari. But, she may just go one night early and then move to another resort with us.

Hello again. I finally made it back to read the end. I knew it was going to be sad. The last day is horrible. My DD and I were crying on Magical Express while we were watching the video. All the characters were telling us to come back soon. Saying goodbye is so hard! :sad1: I thought the last trip was going to be it for a long while. My DH just doesn't get Disney and doesn't care to ever go back. Can you believe him? ;) He's just a homebody and would never care about traveling anywhere again. So, I took my Mom and sister with us on this last trip. It was their first trip and was the best trip ever because they fell in love with Disney too. As soon as we got home, my Mom was asking about when we could go back. It makes all the difference in the world to share Disney World with people who truly love it. :lovestruc
I'm so glad to hear about your Disney Cruise!!! I've heard such wonderful things about them. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and I can't wait to hear all about your wedding and new Disney adventures. Especially now that I know you're going in December again. Then after two weeks we'll be moving to va. I have never lived in va so I think it'll be fun. If I haven't mentioned this...we travel for work:) Both work for the same company. I am df's assistant. So, here are a few more pics.
We had a lot of our purchases sent home. Below is a picture of all of them...just for your info...not all those boxes were chuck full. That big box had my big plush Mickey in it. I love him and I have minnie too that I got last yr.

Awww thank you. Why do you want to do MVMCP twice? I'm not dissing the idea because it was fun, but I think you could get everything you wanted to do done in one night. Especially since it is a special event with less people attending. Not to say it won't be busy, but I think you could get away with one thus allowing you to jam one other event in there. Don't forget fantasmic...that is a must see! The night time show at disney hollywood studios. Def get the cp package otherwise you'll have to get in line way early to get a spot. Aww thank you yes we're both driving...its almost eight hours to ohio, but we are going to drive half way tomorrow after the rental company comes get our furniture. We're gonna stay at a hampton in and then drive the rest of the way saturday, which puts us home earlier than we thought thanks to our land lord being disorganized. Thank you!!! She is a cutie and I can't wait to see her when we go home!!! My sister calls me the momma and screams theres the momma and zoey gets all excited. My DD and I are so worried about jamming in all the things to see and do, especially the special characters that are out. Characters are a must do for us especially the rare ones that come out at parties. We already know we must see Belle in her Christmas dress and the Beast and Mickey and Minnie in their Christmas finery. Thank you so much!!! I think everyone should do Christmas in disney at least once. It is a little crazy and hectic, but tons of fun! I'd do it again...just not this yr. ;)

I loved the carousel of progress. You can try looking it up on you tube and see if you turn up any results, which I am sure you will. That way you can gauge if you want to spend time on it since it is pretty slow pace and just a little show. The theater revolves around the stage. I think its pretty nifty and we rode it at least three times. Sometimes just because we knew it wasn't crowded and we wanted to sit down and cool off or I'd rest my head on matts shoulder if I was sleepy. Either way I still love it tons, but there are others out there that won't waste their time with it. You just have to decide for yourself:)

He is rather sweet! I can't wait to be his wife in July!!! Oh yes, I heart my bagalini. The only reason I was kind of annoyed was when I had to unzip all the zippers to go through bag check each morning at the parks other than that I loved my bag! I even stuffed a whole blanket inside there...can you believe that?! Needless to say the bagalini will be returning on every disney trip! I think that is one of our fave pics too! :) :goodvibes

I think maybe you need to prioritize or just shell out the bucks to go to two parties. We didn't do a lot of that stuff, but what we did do was go to a show, fireworks, and the parade. Thats all I remember us doing. Remember those characters are only out for a limited amount of time and there is a strong possibility that everyone else has the same thought that you do (that they are rare characters and must have their autographs) Maybe someone else can offer advice to you on this? I'd hate to lead you astray and you not be able to get everything you want and then be mad at me. I wish you luck deciding. Either way let me know what you decide. If it was me I'd just try to do what I wanted to do most and then if I got to the other things that'd be a bonus. Also on the flip side of that though I'd rather spend the money on a second party on souvies instead of a second party :rotfl: I've heard of people doing two though so you wouldn't be alone. hth:goodvibes

sorry took me so long to respond...wow...thats a lot for a dog to get groomed. We pay like 26 bucks for zoey at pet smart and they wash, trim hair and nails, clean out the ears and brush her teeth for that price and usually tie a little bandanna on her neck or something. Not that she keeps it on or anything. Crazy little lady. I would of loved to have one of zoey's sibblings. She is such a hoot! I can only imagine what another one of her would be like. :goodvibes

I must apologize for taking so long to get back and finish your TR!! But, I DID it! :)
Thanks for sharing such a great trip with us. I loved all of your details and pictures.
I just found out that a friend of mine is getting married July 20th so I'll be flying to Alaska for the wedding. I'll be thinking about you the day before!
And I saw you wrote you're moving to VA? I'm assuming it's going to be Northern Virginia instead of the Baltimore area? I hope the move went smoothly (I think you should be there now?).
aww well thank you. You don't have to apologize for taking so long .Lol. I've taken this long to respond. I finally got moved to va. I just got here on the 10th. I'm liking it so far. Kind of freaked by the busyness, but I'm starting to adapt. Thanks so much for reading my report though I really appreciate it and thanks for thinking about me on my wedding day! Its nice to know someone will be. Hehe. Yep northern va(they changed their minds on us at the last minute b/c it was going to be maryland as you know) We're living in fairfax about twenty mins from d.c.

Glad to know you made it safe and sound and are getting settled. Northern Virginia is nice, but a pretty busy area.

awwww I love it!!! Oscar looks just a little bigger than Zoey. How much does he weigh? Has he ever been a picky eater? Zoey would hardly touch dry food finally about five months ago my mom started feeding her wet food and now she scarfs her food down. Oscar is so cute I could squeeze him! :goodvibes Thanks for dropping by!

yea it is kind of a busy area. Right near my apartment isn't horrible, but once you get out on some of the more main roads it gets busier, but I haven't drove around here yet df has been driving. I'm such a chicken doodle :rotfl2:

You haven't attempted to drive around the beltway yet? ;) Make your first attempt on the weekend and it isn't too bad.

The beltway is also known as 495 and it's a big circle around D.C. And yeah - rush hour around that thing is insane.

We were on 495 for a short while on our journey to va, but df says we were also on 66 so I stand corrected. I was on two insanely busy parts of roads I didn't care for lol. Have you had california pizza grill? We ate there tonight its like five mins from our apartment and it was pretty darn good minus my stomach hated it, but I have a sensitive stomach so sometimes I just bite the bullet and eat the food then pay later. There is a ton of stuff right near us, which is good for me b/c I don't have to drive to far. I will eventually adventure further and further away. I found a scrapbook store that I love and that is about 15 mins or so from me. Maybe 20. So thats the furtherest away we've gone yet. It was to cold to venture to d.c. today the wind was whipping around and I hate being cold. Do you know of any fun things to do in this area?

I love California Pizza Kitchen!! Very good pizzas :thumbsup2 There's one in Annapolis that we've been too, but we don't go often.
I'm not very familiar with Fairfax, but there's so much to do in this area. There's Mount Vernon, all of the great free museums in D.C., Great Falls is a nice place to go for a walk and there's two sides - one in Virginia and one in D.C.
Yes, it was windy today! It was so gorgeous yesterday.

Okay boys and girls, its time to wrap this thing up. Its finally time for my final thoughts on disney. I don't know that I have a ton to say, but I'll give it a shot. I'm so thankful for the chance to go to disney for a second year in a row. Its all thanks to my wonderful fiance. I thought that spending Christmas away from my family would stink, but Disney World is one of the best places to be on Christmas and I would do it all over again if I had the chance. I hope we get to do it again some day! Secondly, AKL is AMAZING with a savannah view and I think it would still be amazing even without the savannah view. I want to try another resort, but I just don't know if I can bring myself to not stay at AKL. We had the best view...I still talk to Matt about waking up and seeing those animals every morning and remind him that I would love to stay there again. I love that in disney world no matter how many times you go there is always something you haven't seen or done so you are always having a new and different experience. It was great to go back to CRT where we were engaged although I didn't get to see an engagement while we were there, but I am hoping that I will next time we go. I also realize that this may be blasphemous, but a year from dec instead of going to disney we would like to to to vegas. There are a few places I'd like to travel to before we have children and in order to do that we are going to have to give up a few trips to disney. There has also been discussion of combining the vegas trip with a trip to disneyland. Only time will tell. We are going on our disney cruise for our honeymoon on July 20th-24th. We get married on the 19th so for now I am working on planning that and trying to decide how I want to do my hair. Anyone have any suggestions or pictures? Lol. I can't seem to find anything. It dosen't help that I am indecisive. Thank you to everyone who has commented and even the lurkers (i know your out there:goodvibes ) I hope everyone has enjoyed this as much as I've enjoyed doing it and I am so sorry that it took me forever to do my final thoughts! Stay tuned...I plan on doing a trippie for our disney cruise in july. :goodvibes
