We were calling this week for our May tee times and found out Lake Buena Vista is closed May 20 - 23 and May 27 - 30, Magnolia closed May 1-9, Osprey Ridge closed May 6 - 16.

Reasons given were irrigation system work and other construction.

Guess that means a golf course view at OKW won't be as exciting for those days too!

Thanks, JoEllen.

Did they say anything about whether this will impact the condition of the courses if we were playing right after these dates? We have a tee time at the Magnolia on 5/28, and will be making one for 6/4, at either LBV or Osprey. Since that's only 5 days after the closure for LBV, I wonder if the condition will be affected?

If nobody knows, I'll just ask when I call for the tee time next week.

Thanks...

Yikes, now I'm wondering about June. We're going in June, and the only way I could convince DH to stay more than 3 days was to promise he could golf several times (unlike me, he gets "Disney-d out" after a few days). Any news of anything closing courses in June? How did you get this info about May?

Simba's Mom, don't panic! It looks like Disney will have one golf course at a time closed for work/construction/whatever. I suspect your husband will have plenty of choices as to where to play golf. I don't think Disney would not be foolish enough to close several golf courses at once.

Raidermatt - when I called for tee times I was just told the course was unavailable. Didn't know if it was tournements, etc. I called LBV pro shop and was told the reason for LBV being closed those dates in May. I then emailed Marc at Marc's WDW golf site and he found out about the other courses as well (he posted this info on his web site).

I wouldn't worry about playing after irrigation work. I've done that before and not even noticed. I would be more hesitant to play just after the fairways were aerated!
