I posted this on the Budget Board but got little response. I was wondering if the $221 rate I was quaoted for a mid-June stay at the Beach Club is the lowest I might get. Has anyone gotten lower during June and if so what discount was applied. I also understand that there is a deal for AKL for $129 during June. Is this a better deal/resort? Thanks for the help!

I think if you use the code CIF or CUE, you get the $129 for AKL.

Hi Marilyn,

That is the same rate I got for the Yacht Club in June. That is $100 off a night and is one of the best discounts that I have ever received. I have an Annual Pass and it gave the same amount of discount as the rate I got from using another discount code found on mousesavers.com . I really doubt there is a better discount out there for June.

I visited the AKL and really didn't like it much. I mean the resort was nice but it seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere. I also found all of the African drumming and chanting music at Mara and the bus stop really annoying. But I know it has many fans who love it. Maybe if I actually stayed there I would change my mind. Was the $129 rate for a savannah view room where you could see the animals from your balcony or was it a standard view? That is just something to consider when deciding what to do.

Whatever decision you make you will have a great time - After all it is Disney World :D

Consider a split stay if your trip is long enough?

We split between AKL & WL in February & I loved the AKL -- but, I wouldn't want to stay more than three nights there (too far from MK) and I wouldn't even consider anything but a savannah view room. I think its a perfect resort for a split stay and might save you a few pennies too.

I think the $129 was for a standard view.
