What to do the day before

Can anyone tell me about the Brevard County Zoo? We are flying in the day before the cruise and are looking for something fun and inexpensive to do. Since the Zoo is covered on our Columbus Zoo membership, I think I have the inexpensive part covered. Our 2 DS's are 14 and 9. Would it be worth the afternoon?

Also, has anyone stayed at Double Tree Suites in Cocoa Beach ? We are staying there the night before. I am using Hilton Honor points, so I can't beat the price.

I can't answer the question about the Brevard County Zoo, but there are a couple Brevard County residents on this board, so hopefully they'll chime in.

The Doubletree is fine. Nice hotel, although the pool is surprisingly small. There's also a Hilton a half-mile further down the road. It's about the same as the Doubletree. I'd go with whichever one requires fewer HHonors points.
