im officialy paid in full for my sept 8th wonder cruise. my boyfriend and i are booked in a cat.11 stateroom, and im wondering how thick the divider curtains are? we never sleep in the same room (man does he SNORE!) and we're hoping the provide some noise blockage.
thanks!

Sorry, it's just a thin curtain, just enough to block light if someone is asleep in the bed, and someone is awake on the couch (or vice versa!)

Hubby of 16 yrs snores, too. You get use to it, NOT! Just give him a nudge. Have you guys tried the Breathright strips? They look like band-aids, but you put them on your nose and it gently pulls up on each side, thus, elimating snoring or not as violent. They really work.
Try them.

Buy a white noise machine to take with you! I never travel without mine. (At home we sleep with a fan to help mask the snoring...)

We too have tried the curtain, and it doesn't help at all! I got a little portable white noise machine that I can place on my pillow, and that helps quite a bit. White noise machines are marriage savers when you are married to a wood-sawing spouse!

You may want to ask your Dr. for a prescription for a sleeping pill. I believe I have Sonata - very mild. My husband snored like a freight train until he was diagnosed w/sleep apnea & now has the CPAP machine. Anyway, our trips were really miserable before that but the sleeping pill helped some.
Please tell me what the white noise machine is and where to purchase one. DH & I have both slept with fans our entire life even before we met.Now we have 2 fans in our room and had a great travel fan but it bit the dust & we can not find a replacement. Thanks!

A White Noise Machine is a device that produces a consistent and soothing sound that will mask out unwanted and disturbing sounds.
Some of the simpler ones make a noise that is similar to the hiss noise that comes from a tv station that is off the air with snow on the sceeen.
Some of the more elaborate ones will make 20 or more different noises, like a babbling brook, rain, surf, and similar noises.
The idea is to replace the unwanted noise with a neutral noise.
My DW bought ours through Avon 3 or 4 years ago for about $20, it's small and battery operated, ideal for travel. I use rechargeable batteries in it now.
I did a search on the Internet and I found an elaborate one from Sharper Image and the list price is $120. I also found out that Sharper Image has an Ebay Store and you can buy their products at a lower cost through them. Most of the ones offered are 'like new' and are products that have been opened and repackaged, with a full warranty.
I'd suggest doing your own websearch to find one that you would be interested in. I don't think the Avaon model is offered right now, it wasn't in their online catalog.
