No, you aren't! :)

I'm cruising on this cruise! It will be my mom, my dad, my sister (23), and me (20). I'm so excited for the double dip!!

Forgive my ignorance...What is a double dip?

A Double Dip is when the cruise stops at Castaway Cay twice. The 4 day Wonder Double Dip does CC on the first stop, Nassau on the second, and back to CC again the last day (instead of the normal day at sea).

Alrighty! Now I'm excited!

Boy I thought that I was going on a super unpopular cruise! I'll be with my parents, and I'm 24, so we're pretty close in age! We may just have to meet up sometime!

Now, we just need to recruit more people!

We're going too!! We're a family of 4. My husband and I and a daughter (19) and son (16). This will be our 3rd Disney cruise but our 1st on the Wonder. Looking forward to laying on the beach and Castaway Cay.
Who else is going? Anyone?

Hello Everyone !

We are planning on this cruise also... Disney Mom Me (Wendy) DD Tinkerbell (8) and DH.

We were a part of a very active thread for the Turkey Gang 2007 and we are rebooked for Turkey Gang 2009 also.

We had a GREAT Time on the seven night and the 4 night double dip is the best.

Our gang had T-Shirts and over 30 kids... If you have any question about anything, just let me know and I am glad to help if I can.

A must, DECORATE your door...

Hi Everyone.

This is our second Disney Cruise and we are very excited. We will be hitting WDW several days prior so the cruise will be a nice, relaxing activity.

My kids hope to meet kids their own age through this discussion board before the cruise. Their desire is to hang out together during the cruise. We did this last time with my daughter and it worked great. She met some great girls that she still calls/emails 2 years later.

My son will be 9 and my daughter will be 14 at the time of the cruise. Anyone interested, please let me know and we can work out the arrangments.

Pass the Factor 50, I can't wait!

Hi all! We are going on this cruise with my family DMom, DDad, DB(32), DBGF (31), DB(36), DSIL (38), DN (5), DNephew (7), me (38), DH (47), DD (10), DS (who turns 7 three days before the cruise) and DD (4). As I may need a break from my wonderful family, we would be open to meet somewhere!

A few questions, the first time we will all be able to celebrate my son's birthday is the first night of the cruise, will they let us celebrate his birthday, even though it is not actually the date of his birthday?

Also, has anyone done the dolphin encounter in Nassau-Is it worth it?

Look forward to hearing from you!

Disney CMs usually go out of their way to accomodate a guests requests. I would speak to the Head Waiter/Dining Room Host regarding your request. I am sure they will take care of you. Alternatively, you could speak with your waiter, but it may be more diificult if you intend on surprising your son.

Hope that helps.

We will also be celebrating a birthday... My daughter turns 9 the first night. I called DCL and they noted it on the reservation.. Also for any special occasions you cannot a cast member or head waiter as you embark and they can help. You can also order a cake or special dessert for the evening.

On my last cruise, it was my graduation present from my family. My dad told our waiter and he told our head waiter, so the last night they brought out a cake that said "Congratulations" on it. This was all for free, and it was totally great!

Make sure you save room for it!!

As far as a meet during the sail away party, that sounds great!!!

We need a way to ID us DISers on the cruise!!

We are considering this cruise. This would be our first Disney Cruise! My husband and I and our daughter, who will be turning 3 on the cruise!

I just found out I am pregnant for the second time (we are super excited), so we are just waiting on the confirmation from the doctor to book!

We'll be joining the cruise also:cool1: Me(disney mom) My dh, daughter Abby(8), sons Mitch(10) and Evan (16) and niece emily (13)....our 1st cruise!

Need help with decorating doors-I have the general idea, but what do you use for adhesive, to make it stick to door? Are the doors wood or metal?
Anyone using the fish extenders? Just found out about them today on board, sounds like fun!

How do you figure out your schedules? We would like to dinner at Palo, but what night do you do that on? How do you know what type of dinner rotation your'e on? what about the spa? when do you have time to schedule that-seems like so much to do-3 days off the boat? Is the pirate party always the last night?
So many ?, we are so excited!

The doors are metal, so you are to use magnets to keep your decorations on.

I don't have a fish extender, but I could make one! Thats if we all want to do it!

Your dining rotations, you will find out when you reach port, that is the most difficult thing! If you don't want to miss any of your main dining rooms, you should book Palo on the last night, but most people will do that. I love them all, so we aren't going to book Palo this trip.

As far as spa, I would try to book it on your Nassau day, unless you are doing a late excursion (or excursion period). We won't be doing any of that! Its CC and a little Nassau for us!

I do believe Pirate night is actually the night we are in Nassau.

I can't wait to meet you all!

Welcome aboard... Our family has sailed Disney many times and love the double dips.

As for the schedules they are posted on line. If you have sailed Disney before you can make reservations today ! And if not you can make reservations 75 days out.

The door decorations must be magnetic ! Or Disney will removed them and possible fine you if they leave the door marked.

The fish extenders are great. They can be made or purchased. We really need to get at least five families involved to try it.

If I can help with anything, just let me know.

Ok, here we go. There are five families travelling in our party for my parent's 45th. Four kids and their significant others (husbands/wives) and 11 grandkids. I think that makes 22 ranging in age from almost 2 to 68.
It will be the first DC for all but four people.
Looking forward to some fun.

Hi dixieslanding.

Before our Nov 2006 Wonder cruise, my daughter was able to meet kids her age through the Disboards. We then arranged to have the kids meet the first afternoon outside Triton's, parents and all. This broke the ice which led the kids having a great time on the cruise together. She still talks to her friends from this Nov 06 cruise.

My daughter will be 14 in early May. Would your daughter like to email from the Disboards to introduce and then meet once on board?

Let me know.

I am aslo looking to hook up my son who will be 9 on the cruise.

On our past cruises we have always had a Disboard Meet. On the last several the most recent was the Turkey Gang 2007 we even all got shirts. We had almost 80 disboard members on that cruise.

It is always great to get the kids together for a meet. It really helps them get excited. We too keep in touch with friends from past cruises.

My DD will be 9 on the cruise also.

Yahoo! 30 days left until we depart Michigan to drive south to WDW  . I may have already posted that we will be staying 6 nights in WDW prior to the cruise. 3 nights at POR and 3 nights at CSR. We will also stay one night at POP on the Thursday after the cruise to spend one more day in the World before heading north. This should help to minimize the after cruise downer.

In regard to a meeting location, an easy location is in front of Triton's by the Ariel's statue. If we meet at 3:00, it gives the kids a chance to meet and they can make plans to meet again at the sail away party. This worked great on our first cruise.

An alternate would be to meet just prior to the sail away party by Pinochio's Pizzeria. Time is usually pretty tight right after the sail away party if you have the early dining rotation.

My son (9) and daughter (14) are getting nutty crazy with excitemnt for the trip :dance3: . My wife just needs and more importantly deserves a vacation.

I don't know if I can make a sail away meet, as we have plans with my family, but I wouldn't mind another meet, possibly on CC? I mean, we have two WHOLE days there!

Any takers on the fish extenders?

Sure on prior request. Would be a good lesson for daughter on how to use web email w/ caution. A meet on a Disney Cruise is a fairly safe and tame environment. And it would get DD more into it. Send me the email or i'll have her personal you from our account here.

Hi dixieslanding.

My family email address is gacuff@wowway. Please add the ".com" to the end. Apparently I have not hit 10 messages on this board so I cannot post a full email address (stupid).

I fully understand your concern about the internet and using it cautiously and wisely. We keep a very close eye on my kids internet and email use.

Hopefully the girls can start a good dialog before the cruise. Its a great ice-breaker.

23 days until we leave for WDW, 30 days until the Disney Wonder!!

Our family will also be on this cruise. I'm traveling with DH Tom), DD (Annalies 22), DD (Kristen 18), DS (Josh and his new bride Dawn -wedding June 15th). We also travel with three service dogs, Brooklyn, Stitches and Skilltes. Our stateroon is on 8, Josh and Dawn's will be on 2. Ths is our 3rd Disney cruise. We are starting our trip at the Grand Floridian. My daughters woudl be thrilled to meet other young adults.

We were just bemoaning not being able to bring our dog (all 10 1/2 pounds).... Fortunately a good friend is taking him for the week.

I've never seen service dogs on the ship before. That will be very unusual. I'm actually surprised Disney allows it. I know the US laws require lots of access but I'd think a Cruise ship would have difficulty complying plus I'd think you'd run into international issues, but maybe Bahamas easier than say Mexico.

We are planning an informal disboard meet in front of Tritons at 3:00 p.m. Sunday. It will be a good way for the kids to meet before the Club and Lab open on Sunday Night

Don't let this be a guide, just let it be as an option. I had planned for Pirate night to be the Nassau night, so, just don't take what happened to us as what will happen on your cruise.
