I know this is crazy but my kids loved going to Typhoon Lagoon last Aug. for the first time. We went on the sat. night they had EMH. IT was GREAT. So I booked BCV for 5 nights Sunday through Thursday forgetting about the Sat. Typhoon night. UGH So to do this we could stay at SOG for about 120 bucks or spend 75 points at BCV for that night and not worry about moving. Typhoon closes early compared to the regular parks and I would much rather go in the late afternoon vs. being out in the blistering sun all day.

Use 75 points in order to go to a water park?! No way! I'm not familiar with SOG - do you still get EMH when you stay there? OK, so let's think about this - they say you can rent points for $10 / point. 75 of them = $750! VS how much? $120 at SOG?! I'm thinkin' SOG wins!
But BTW, we did EMH early hours at both water parks last Aug. (we prefer B.B. over T.L. but whatever). We got there when they opened, breezed thru everything and were completely done by Noon at B.B. and by 10:30 at T.L. Not as hot yet. Low crowds...choice of where to put our stuff down... Loved the early openings! (Are you sure they only have late hours one nite a week at T.L.? That surprises me...they had the early hours every morning!)

YOU ARE SO RIGHT. LOL WHen you look at it that way THAT IS MAJOR BUCKS TO GET AN EMH NIGHT. :scared1: Yes TL has the only EMH evening and it is always on Saturdays. We got there around 5 and stayed til 10. IT was fun. MY dh and older ds went to BB and got there early too but it got crowded fast he said. I will probably stay at SOG for two weekend nights and BCV for our 5 week days. Thanks
when we were there, TL EMH in the PM was canceled due to lightning. That would REALLY be a bummer to spend the points and then not be able to go!!

That is true too. I am really struggling with using those 75 points at BCV for the Sat. but I had no problems staying on weekends in Aug. 07 and Nov. 07. LOL WE WERE STILL USING DEVELOPER POINTS.

No, not for just that reason. We found the EMH in the evening a bit too cold for us once the sun went down, even in summer. We much prefer getting there at park opening and beating the crowds that first hour.

I have a hard time spending those weekend points.....
Unless I will only go 1x per year....
those weekend points....could be another 5 night trip.
I didn't even know TL had EMH.....your right going at night sounds
very appealing away from the sun.

SOG and Cash all the way! No way on the points.
or you could spend extra $$ and add a cash stay at the end of your BCV trip through MS!

We loved going to TL on that EMH night. We arrived around 5 think. IT is well worth trying. WE have the AP's with the water parks added so it was nice to go that evening.

Cash weekends are the same rate as cash weekdays, unless the season changes that weekend or the cash discount isn't available. You do not need to switch rooms if you extend on cash. We always book cash weekends to save the points and you can't tell the difference in your stay. They will link your cash and points ressies so that when you check in, you just do it once and stay in the same room.

Make sure SOG is available for EMH.
My cousin stayed there one year and she couldn't do EMH or get the DDP.

We have stayed several times over the years (check out signature) and we have always been able to do EMH. No the dining plan is not available for SOG guests.

The Cash Rate is 25% of the Rack Rate. Call MS and they will tell you the $$ and as the other poster said no moving! :cool1:

Okay so the weekends are same price all year long if the rooms are available?

We did the EMH in the morning at TL last August. It was wonderful! Very empty and we had experienced everything at least once by 10:15. We were able to go back and do again the things we wanted, had some lunch and went "home" for a nap.

No cash ressie available from MS for Sat. July 26th at BCV in a 2br. I am keeping the Sat. for now....but I am also going to see if SOG has a room available.
