Packet Pickup at WWoS???

Hi guys! Maybe I just haven't done enough research, but how do I get to the Wide World of Sports on Thursday afternoon to sign in, get my bib, sign the waiver, expo...for the 5K on Friday morning? Can I take a bus from a park or a resort?

There are buses available from your resort but they are not Disney buses. There should be someone at the resort who will direct you to the bus stop. At the BCV the stop for the race buses was not at the park bus stop.

From what I understand the only bus that goes directly to WWoS is the one from MGM (oops HS). So wherever you are, you go to HS, then catch a bus to WWoS. Then on Friday morning, there will be Charter buses (not the regular parks buses) that will be marked for the race. They should pick up in front of your resort, like where you pull up and drop off your luggage when you first arrive.

BTW, where are you staying and when are you getting to DW? My DD and I are getting in on Wed. and are staying at Pop. We would love to have someone to ride the bus with. ;)

If you are staying on property there will be busses leaving from the resorts to WWoS for registration. They are not Disney busses as WDW is not running the event. You may not have any luck asking at the resort where to locate the event busses. When I tried that I got the blank stare. I went outside and figured it out. They will have volunteers somewhere outside your resort near the pick up spot.

If you go to the thread for the 2008 Marathon, most people who are signed in there have their resorts listed. I'm sure there will be WISH Team people staying at Pop that will be riding with you.

Look for the WISH Team shirts if you can't find someone, you should see us at the start as we gather pre-race--after the bag check in the participants area.

This is true for all WDW races except the Marathon(which as mentioned have buses from the resorts to WWoS). During the Minnie Marathon Weekend we walked from BWV to DHS and took a bus from there to WWoS to pickup our race packets.

Thanks so much! Good to know. We will probably actually be at HS on Thursday so that should be easy! Mid-afternoon we'll hop the WWoS bus.

Yeah, we are staying at POP! Our first time there. I'm so excited!
