What is the longest you've been waitlisted, and NOT gotten your room request?

I was just wondering what is the longest amount of time you have been on the waitlist, and NOT gotten your room request?

For example, let's say you want to stay at a DVC resort (which is not your home resort) during a peak time. You begin calling at the 7-month-out mark, only to find out that no rooms are available...they have all been booked by home resort members. You put your name on the waitlist, and keep your fingers crossed.

Has anyone been on the waitlist for a "non-home-resort" for the entire 7 months and NOT gotten their request?

hi: i was waitlisted at 8 months out at our home resort, trying to change from a 1br std. view to a 2 br either view. we were only able to get the first night of our stay (first week of november). it just didn't work out that time, although the waitlist has worked out for us a little better than half the times.

I have been on a waitlist 3 times at my home resort (BWV) at 7 months out and never once has the waitlist worked. I now either make sure I book before the 7 month window when other DVC members that BWV is not their home resort can book, or just change the dates of my trip to get what I can at my home resort and fill in the other days with other WDW resorts.
