hi everyone,
me and my family are hoping to go to disney the last week of january but still have not found a place to stay. i was thinking i could get a good last minute deal but it getting closer and still nothing. we are looking for at least a 2 bedroom condo or townhouse and were hoping to spend around $500 or a little more. does anyone have any ideas of last minute travel deals? we will be driving down from pittsburgh. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kim. Not sure how many in your family but you might watch skyauction.com for last minute deals. There is none for past Jan 11 at moment but keep checking. Also cyberentals.com for private condos. Of course at end of Jan there is lots and lots of hotel/motel deals well within your price range. Would a suite hotel be enough?

There are quite a few available at www dot vrbo dot com. Particularly, if you want condos and townhomes, try Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms and Emerald Island Resort. You could also try a general e-mail on one of the sites, instead of trying to narrow it down yourself. You can also negotiate. If owners have that week free right now, they might be willing to make a deal to fill it up. Here is a listing I came across:

Good luck!

If this one fits your dates, it's a great deal.

Skyauction does studio, 1 BR, 2BR, 3 BR, hotels, houses etc. depending on availability. I use them often. Very reliable company but limited to availability

Check places further out, like in the Davenport area. The problem is the $500 budget, take out taxes and that's $62/night, and as you get closer to the parks the rates tend to be higher than that. Further out you should be able to find something though hopefully, good luck!

Other options would have been:

www.wyndham-vacations.com
www.condodirect.com

These both offer excess timeshare inventory held by the two major timeshare exchange companies.
