I sold a stripped 25 VB 2042 contract (I never went to VB) for $74 per point ($68 net). I then bought a loaded 25 OKW 2057 from DVC for $96 per point. I ended up with 50 extra use now points (worth $500) and an extended contract worth $15 more per point . My net cost is less than my net sale price.
Or is this just fuzzy math?
Well, the trade would be a good one just to get rid of the higher dues at Vero. But I don't think my math is the same as yours. I guess what everyone says is true, "You can make the math say what ever you want it to." Glad you are happy!

Regardless of the math, it sounds like you were able to get exactly what you wanted for pretty good financial deal. My math would suggest that you got $68 per point and bought at $96 for a $28 differential. $28 x 25 points = $700.
For that $700 you got additional year of point usage and 15 years more contract life, as well as substantially lower annual dues. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me! :thumbsup2

Congrats on a great deal! Those 25-pointers sure are fun and easy to pick up!

I think I like your way of looking at it even better than mine.

Or is this just fuzzy math? You likely paid dues on all the VB points and part of the OKW points. Plus I'd never characterize the extension as worth $15 pp extra. But if you are happy with the price and the changes, it really doesn't matter that much.
