Our first DVC stay!

We are staying for the first time as DVC members at VWL. We check in on 1-17 for 5 nights after a cruise on the Wonder.

How far are the Villas from the boat launch to MK? Even though we bought at AK, we chose to stay at WL due to its close location to MK, where we spend most of our time. Will we be walking 10,000 miles to get there?

Also, I know WL has 2 full service resturants, but do they have anything that compares to the food courts at the All stars?

While I have never stayed at VWL, I have visited the resort for dining at Wispering Canyon (wonderful and fun). The boat launch is not far at all from the resort. As far as the food courts I can not answer.

Out the 'back door', Around the wing of the hotel and across the water front - i'm guessing - 5 minute walk? It doesn't seem like far, because there are things to look at.

There is also a quick serve, called Roaring Forks, which has quite nice food but no where near the variety of a food court, and a pool bar, Trout Pass, which has snacks.

Thanks for the help! While I'm super happy to be a DVC member, I am going to miss the AS food courts!
