Search isn't working and I can't find any other threads on this. I'm trying to arrange a 4 day trip May 16-19. HRH is SOLD OUT (I find this bizarre) and the only thing available in PBH Child Suite at $395 (AAA Rate). This seems awfully high. I've seen this Fan Club mentioned and I wonder if this could bring down the $$. THanks!!!

It's entirely possible for the HRH to be sold out if a school group comes in, if there's a major holiday, etc. You can ask for other discounts, like Fan Club. Also, check out websites like www.expedia.com, www.travelocity.com, and www.hoteldiscounts.com. They may have some discounts available.

You can read all about the standard Fan Club discounts by going to www.universalstudios.com/fanclub then click on members access and choose Universal Orlando. The BEST room discounts and ticket discounts are found right here on the disboards!!

If you can not get a Fan Club card thru your employer, email me and I'll help you out.

Cathy--Quickbook has HRH for 167/night for the days you asked about. If I were you I'd make a reservation. Quickbook doesn't charge a fee and pre-payment cancellation policies are the same as if you booked direct. Since HRH is showing as completely booked I wouldn't wait, once the consolidators sell out their block of rooms I doubt they'll get anymore. Universal Fan Club is a 30% discount, I doubt it's any better than the consolidator rate.
tinkerbarb--I don't think Dreams is currently booking rooms at HRH or Portofino
