So I just finished with my phone session with Marion, she is so sweet!

Our major change is in the number of people we estimated- hopefully that will help our $$$$.

And our cake- no more elegant scroll with castle topper($1200)! We are going with a 2 tier mad hatter-($450) now we have to play with color and style!

Its a fun cake! Feeds less people! After we got the price of the scroll cake, we knew we would just be throwing the money away! We have no intention of taking any part with us!

The chef at out ps told us we could substitute 2 fish/ 2 beef for those who dont eat one or the other. DF sister doesnt eat beef so we did make sure to ask. We originally we going with beef/chicken but at our tasting the Mahi-mahi was so good (and i'm not a big fish eater) we decided to go for it!

We bought our wedding rings-need to upload a picture-

mine is 2 princess cut diamonds alternating with 2 princess cut saphirres- it looks like it was made to go with my engagement rings.
DF is a plain tungston band(sort of a shiny silvery gray color)

i am pretty excited about this! I think other than some minor changes we will be good to go!


I had my last dress fitting, fits like a glove:cutie: She just is finishing the bustle so in about 6 weeks I will try it on one more time. I also scheduled the date to pick it up 2 days before we leave!!:scared:OMG! It is coming SO fast!

As we were leaving to go outside we both spotted some programs left on people's chairs. We instructed everyone to pick up any that they saw laying around because we were not going to let them get thrown away after all that work :rotfl:

DF loves jelly belly jellybeans-so we are using them in the place cards at the reception- we had decided no chocolate(didnt want it to melt on the way) but since he got his favorite I had to have my favorite too!:rolleyes1 (Hershey chocolate) I made one of the bags when he was working and he had to agree:woohoo:

Thanks Kendra! I made them-well bought little green bags, made the saying-with a watermark of the polynesian in the background and put a ribbon on it! I put strawberry and cream kisses and regular chocolate kisses in them, I did put a little bit of shredded paper in the bottom-so they dont slide around!

The chocolate in the bags is just hershey kisses-strawberry cream and milk chocolate. DF said no chocolate-I :love: hershey's-he got jelly belly's, so...I got hersheys:laughing:

Sand Ceremony!

We decided we were going to get these- so we can have them personalized- the container with a monogram and date and each individual one with each persons initial. DF actually found these :thumbsup2

We wanted a way to incorporate the boys into the ceremony and it will be a nice keepsake after! We have a 2 year old too-should provide a little laughter when he realizes he has sand to "play" with:rotfl:

Here is what we have come up with for our sand ceremony vows:

Today, as James and Sandy have sealed their commitment to each other with the exchange of rings they too make a commitment to their children. We recognize the significant role that DS,DS and DS play in this marriage celebrated today. They will now join James and Sandy in this commitment to each other by contributing aj part of each individual person into one blended family. Today, this relationship is symbolized through pouring of these 5 individual containers of sand, each representing a member of the family in all that they were, all that they are and all they will ever be. As each indeividual sand is poured into the familys one united common container, the individual container of sand no longer exists, but will be joined together as one. Just as the grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will become the bond with your family.


We are also thinking of including them in the announcement- Now pronounce you husband and wife and family.

We decided to go with a "modified" version of everyones birthstone color! Modified so they blend better--one of the boys is Garnet, we are using a pink instead(he's ok with it:laughing: ) one is citrine, which is a bright yellow, so we are going with a more natural color for him.

So the 5 colors will be :
Lt green
Lt blue
pink
lt purple
natural

I think it should blend nicely!;)

We faxed our information to the brevard county court so we can get our marriage license!

So today I have a phone appointment for followup with Marion! Time to shave away at the BEO!

Most of our shaving is our over indulgence in floral- so I have been working on alternate stuff--

For our ceremony at italy courtyard instead of $800 worth of big floral filled urns, we are going simple with petals down the aisle.

we are upgrading to white wooden chairs, so I was thinking of making paper, floral cones to hang on the chairs going down the aisle.

The first 2 will be in memory of our mothers, both who have passed-inside they will read..in loving memory, those we love are never far, they are always with us in our hearts, we are going to put a b/w picture on the front and fill with rose petals.
The rest will look like this(keep in mind this is a rough mock-up) made of shimmery white cardstock/ribbon and our monogram'

The paper stuff in a folder-transportation schedules, hidden mickey hunt, disney trivia and facts, beer/drinks around epcot.
bear necessities- wet ones, bandaids, tylenol packs, sunscreen
disney magnets
disney key chain (mickey ears)-used them to hold the resi tag.
lanyards/autograph books/toe rings for some of the kids(depending on the age).
neck wallet
2008 disney pin
tins with mickey and friends sweet tarts (omg we will be eating them forever, had to order 5 lbs and used about 2!:laughing: )

As time flys by!

We got our license in the mail on Monday-- really one of the most important things:rolleyes1
Brevard County was quick and efficient in the process!

DF and I got all of our fan programs put together yesterday:cool1: For anyone interested, I used spray adhesive and it worked great, just wear gloves it took forever and the "garage" hand cleaner to get the adhesive off my hands!- Not good for the attempts to keep my nails from breaking!:mad:

FINALLY GOT ALL OF THE RSVP's- we only sent out 12 invites and 1/4 of those were late!!!:headache: I am so glad we set the date as 2 months before, now i can give an accurate count! (And not pay for those not coming:banana: )

Hey Linda-
I used the 8inch bags, when I got them I was disappointed on the size, but actually it has worked out well, they are stuffed-better than being 1/2 empty!
i got cotton iron on transfers for ink jet printers at Michael- best part no image reversal (since I dont know how to do that!) Cut around the image and hot iron-it works best with an iron that will get hot without steam-really pretty easy to do! And personal, I picked everyones favorite character if they had one, or like my DB is a firefighter so I found donald duck in firefighter gear!

About the size of the bag. I was thinking of putting two waterbottles in each bag in rooms where there are two people. Do you think if I do this with this size bag there will be enough room for other things? I might just order one set of bags and see what I can fit in. I was also going to put folders in and I think you had said you had to make up some sort of folder because regular folders would not fit in the bag.

Linda- I think you would not be able to get alot more in with 2 water bottles, I would probably do the 12inch bags for that. i did make a folder for 5x7 inserts with the info.

I got the graphics mostly from doing a search for disney clipart! the Welcome one I used on the folders, so it didnt need to be very big.

Some of them do get blurry when they get big and I dont know how to fix that, out of my scope of computer skills, unfortunately!

I do have an extra bag if you want me to throw it in the mail so you dont have to order 12 of them and have the hassle of returning if they wont work! pm the info if you'd like!

It's something like $80 for 30 minutes. Plus, it might be more flexible schedulewise for them to send out the Breathless than a Friendship (but that's just me thinking out loud...)

The info I got back about the friendship boat was--they didnt start running until 8:30-a little late since we want to do some pictures before the ceremony! (Change from original plan thanks to your 1st look pictures :worship: )

She also said we would have to ride "1st come 1st serve":confused3 meaning riding with anyone else riding to epcot!:mad:

Thanks! I used an ink jet printer, I dont know if there would be a difference if you used a laser printer. They were fine once they dried.

We wanted something different for a memorial so I came up with the cones, I think they came out nice! Finding a picture was the challenge! My mom hated to have pictures taken!

I think I am going to drag DF to the Disney Store today to look for park maps and that info. pamplet! Our Disney Store in my town closed a few years ago "very tragic for me"...and it happen on my birthday, so we have to drive about 45 minutes to the nearest Disney Store (Branson, Missouri). Okay I think Bridzilla is coming!

This morning my boss calls-no biggie, she calls every week! "I know you are busy with the wedding, she starts"
Background, I am a nurse, assist manager. I work weekends and monday to do manager "stuff" One of my things is our schedule--so I finished one on Monday-then the other managers look at it, help fill holes etc. Well, apparently Joint Commission- these are the people who allow hospitals to keep the doors open(literally), they are the ones who accredit hospitals--VERY BIG DEAL!!!!! they came this week for our unannounced survey(we have been expecting them since December) for a week long visit-- sooooo---

noone has had time to go over the schedule, with the fine tooth comb my boss likes-- so she wants me to come in extra and LOOK at it! :eek:

I work weekends so I dont have to have childcare! Tomorrow is my only day off with DF---last one until we leave! We have TONS of errands to run, packing to do. I could just scream!!!!!!!!!:furious:

The big deal to me is---

1. my time! I work 25miles away!
2. my time! I have lots to do!
3. There is no magic, no pixiedust in the schedule! Holes are holes- they will fill, it happens every schedule!
4. Everyone that needs to know about the schedule know! I already called everyone!
5. She is freaking because of Joint Commission and it has rolled on to ME!:headache:
