Is it just me???

I was expecting the new servers to make loading DIS pages much faster, but it seems to take just as long if not longer for me today as it ever did. This is the only site I go to that has this problem. Is it just me, or are others experiencing the same thing? I have slow page loading when I first click on the site, and also when I use the forum jump button at the bottom of the page.

I think Alex is still tweaking the server settings.

Sometimes it seems faster, and sometimes it seems slower. Every so often, I get the "database error" page and have to wait a minute or so before trying again. A few times, I've received the broken link message, only to try again a few minutes later and the problem is gone.

Guess this is due to the server migration. A few glitches remain...

I was just about to post this same thread this very second! All morning things have be SSSLLLOOOOWWWWW on my end. And it is not my computer...everywhere else is speedy, no issues. But when I get to the DIS, it is like hitting a brick wall.

I am hoping that the above is correct and Alex and Corey are just making adjustments.

I didn't have any problems today, however, I definitely have had slowness issues on & off for the past couple of weeks.

I know Webmaster Alex and the techies have worked very long hours over the past holiday week on this.

Please hang in there. They are doing their best and as with anything new there will be some adjustments necessary in the beginning.

The DIS has invested a lot in the new server equipment and the benefits will definitely be there for the long term.

It takes much much longer for the pages to load for me. Before the change the boards were much faster.

It seems like its the same to me. Some days its lightning fast others it just bogs down. One thing though, I am missing my BWV signature. I check the html and nothing was changed. I also noticed some other peoples are gone as well, just get the red x..................

seems about the same to a bit slower overall

most of the time everything loads up ok, but when it is slow its verrryyyy slow

also many more major problems over the last few days; database error pages, not remembering my log in(3 times today), page not found

Not just slow - I think there are several gliches. It's been excrutiatingly slow...and nights seem worse - maybe more ppl online? I've been giving up a lot & I just log off. I keep checking for the email notices to start back up too...and I see today there were a lot of triple posts...what else? Oh, and the "subscribed to" icons seem to come & go...so just a couple of bugs yet... I'm sure it'll be worth the wait once they get it all fixed....

It's been slooooooow for me too...and another thing...I'm not getting my email notifications that threads I'm subscribed too have been posted on...

I checked my User CP to be sure that Instant Email Notification is checked and it is - I even unclicked it and reclicked it and hit save again...and :confused3 Anyone else experience this and have a fix?
