DVC bookings do you book daily?

Hiya

In Feb I will be booking our Jan 09 stay. I was wondering do you book one night everyday for two weeks or do you wait until the 11 month of your check out day and book all at once?

I heard that some people book daily to ensure they have availability and they do not like chancing it so they wont book all the dates all together.

We are staying AKV for 5 nights in Jan.

How do you book yours?

January should be quiet so you probably don't need to do day by day even for AKV (unless you want a Concierge room). Since I became a member early last year, I have booked two 14-night vacations at SSR for July at 4 months & 10 months from check out without any problems.

day by day would only be neaded for times like easte,xmas,thanksgiving and bankholiday weekends times like labour day.

I'd only book day by day if I was trying for a resort at 7 months during a busy time. At my home resort I just call on check out day and make the whole reservation at once. You should be fine at AKV for 5 nights unless as Paul says you want concierge (having said that I managed to get a concierge booking at 7 months)

Thanks for your help. I cant wait to book our first DVC holiday. I am so excited about that. The children are at home with nanny and grandad, as we are celebrating my 30th and want to do more adult bits i.e pleasure island, cirque de soleil etc.... I am really looking forward to staying at AKV. I will phone up 11 months on check out day.

For info, I phoned up today (7 month window) and changed my reservation for July 19th - August 2nd 2008 from SSR to a savanna view studio at AKV. I was quite surprised that it was available in the middle of summer but I needed to use my Developer points and thought I would ask.

Now looking forward to my first trip to my newest home :)
