Dolphin Encounters

Hello,
I am requesting feedback/info on the two Dolphin Encounters offered in Nassua and Freeport. There is a price difference of about $30.00 and time commitment varies from 3 hours in Freeport to 4 to 7 hours in Nassua.

Bumping this for you Dawn, I'm interested in doing the dolphin encounter also!

My sons and I did the encounter in Freeport in August of 2000. We loved it and was well worth the savings for me. It ran about 3 1/2 to 4 hours and was packed with fun. From other postings it seems that Freeport is more laid back then Nassau. Nassau seems to push pictures and video tapes where Freeport was bring your own and have fun. The dolphins were wonderful.

We also did the encounter at Freeport in January 2001. We did the excursion in the AM. The trainer was excellent with my son who has Downs. He got nervous when it was his turn to pet the dolphin. The trainer had the dolphin do tricks for him. ( Just keep in mind that it is an encounter, not a swim. My friend thought it was a swim and was disappointed. I knew what to expect and really enjoyed it.) After the dolphin encounter we went to the beach at Port Lucaya for a swim and then caught the bus back to the ship. Nasi
