Lisa-
I just found your PJ/TR and WOW you guys looked like you had a fantastic time!!! Everything looked perfect. DH and I have been married for almost 4 years and I'm trying to talk him into a Disney vow renewal. I've always wanted WDW, but I think you might have changed my mind to a DCL renewal!! BTW...your MK and Epcot photos are some of the best I've seen. You were gorgeous!!!

Sorry it's taken so long for this update....Been a busy girl.

Today was our last full cruise day. We were so looking forward to a little relaxing. Not so much of that happened, but it was a really nice day.

We slept in today....Finally it was all catching up to me. We got up and showered and got dressed for our brunch in Palo. Since Pete didn't have any shoes (UGH!) the other big feet boys on the ship lent him some. He ended up wearing Jon's shoes....THANK YOU! Brunch was amazing. It was funny that we were seated by Michele and Steven. They had made reservations when they boarded the ship and they just so happened to be for the same time as ours, or maybe a little sooner.

Palo is so fancy. There are no menus. The waiter walks you around and shows you all they have to offer in the way of sample plates. It is great, you can actually see what you are ordering.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3162/3083146585_fe94259e1b.jpg

1st we sampled the buffet and Pete tried raw Tuna and Caviar. oh la la...Nope he didn't like either one. LOL

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3116/3083990872_53bc21b38c.jpg

We also had great drinks, they were Orange Juice and some alcohol...mmm so tasty. I was getting tipsy after one. LOL

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3191/3083975900_84cc6cb42c.jpg

We ordered a Flat Bread (aka Pizza) as a starter in addition to the buffet choices we made. It was very very good.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3255/3083155599_a6d825528f.jpg

For our meals I got Eggs Benedict and Pete got Chicken Parmesan. Well mine wasn't that good so I switched and got some Chicken Parm as well. That was really good. But desert is what we were really waiting for.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3195/3083156739_31bb1062d7.jpg

OMG the choices were endless and each one better then the one before. Loved the Desert Bar!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3124/3083140897_21ed8c888c.jpg

Sadly our time at Palo was over. We extra tipped our server because he was excellent then we headed to look around the ship some. We took some pictures before running into P. Daddy and Mama Reese (Pete's Parents). We stopped and chatted a bit then moved on. We saw Julie getting her hair braided. She was such a good girl.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3051/3083166269_8f64d782c4.jpg

On our way back to our room we ran into Chip and Dale. DO you know which one is which? Chip has the black nose, like a chocolate chip!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3059/3083179341_ab28be7bd7.jpg

We needed to pick up the gifts we were giving out for our Fish Extender Exchange. We got to tour the whole ship giving out little cans of Old Bay.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3039/3044334533_b6dfe43fd5.jpg

Our last delivery was at Kayla and Karen's room. They were hosting a meet, a "Meet in the Sweet"! They had an awesome suite and were so kind to host the meet. There were snacks and lots of Disboard friends. One of whichI spent a long time talking to (hi TJ), but we couldn't talk about the "Surprise" planned later in the trip....boy was that hard! LOL

We didn't get to stay at the Meet long because we needed to run and pick up our wedding pictures! EKKK! We made our was to shutters and were given the pictures...this is when I saw that the largest picture package, the one we were buying was only including 75 images on a CD. Well the documents I had received before we cruised stated that ALL IMAGES were included on a CD. I asked them about this and they told be the packages had changed. ...... OH NO...I was getting all the images! I talked to the manager and then my wedding coordinator. I was not backing down! They ended up calling stateside to speak with my on land planner and she did verify that I was sent the older information including all images. They reluctantly agreed to include them all. I ended up with two CD'sworth! Go Me Go Me! Not they sent us back to our room with over 300 pictures and we had a few hours to pick which ones we wanted in 8 x 10 size and in 5 x 7 size. Talk about pressure! We literally spent 4 hours locked in our room picking pictures. We got to pick 15 8x10's and 75 5x7's, plus a few pictures for the folios. NOW being the honest people we are we didn't keep any extras although we really could have. Once we returned our choices they threw away all the ones we didn't pick and handed me the stack of 5x7's we did pick. They had to enlarge the 8x10's but then when they gave us them they included the 5x7's of the ones made into 8x10's. We also got lots of stock pictures of the ship!

Oh and another plate of treats was waiting for us in our room when we returned with our pictures. We were sooo spoiled this trip!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3102/3083180223_90f0651901.jpg

After the picture mess we had to start packing. All of our bags needed to be packed and in the hall by 11pm. I got our suitcase out and the wheel was missing....to make matters worse I ripped my dress on the whole where the wheel should have been! Ohhh I was MAD! I called the front desk and complained. I had to take the suitcase down there and they were going to try to repair it. We dropped it off and they ended up giving me a $55 credit for my torn dress.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3274/3083179793_86104fcd2b.jpg

We headed to the show....Disney Dreams...ahhh it was so wonderful. It brought a tear to my eye. Most of us sat together tonight. It was so neat the way we all would not plan on meetings, but everytime you turned around you had a friend nearby. We were like the last to get there and found everyone all together in the center! YAY! I loved seeing the kids and their reactions.

After the show we ran up to pack some more and then it was dinner time. I stopped by the photo department to drop off our picks and Pete went to get our brand new suitcase from guest services. They couldn't fix the old one so we got an all new one! Go Disney Service!

Dinner tonight was in Animators Palate. This is one of my favorite restaurants on the ship, but our table location wasn't the best and we didn't get to experience the full effect! We will have to try again in November!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3190/3084850298_0d23aede21.jpg

After dinner a group of us had planned to go to Karaoke, but that didn't pan out. I also had plans to relax on deck with Shannon, but she headed to bed. I rushed to finish my packing and then hit the bed. Another long long day was over! I was so sad, we had to say goodbye to all our friends and family tomorrow.

Pete ran up to get a soda and Laura came over to chat a bit. Then I snuggled into bed with my iPod and my wedding pictures (oh no there were not getting packing in my checked luggage!) and drifted off to sleep.

Pete woke me up when he got in and we rehashed our whole trip and talked aout how very happy we were! I fell asleep with his arms wrapped around me! What a great wedding trip!

Sorry..I am so behind in DisBoarding...LOL

More pictures please!!!!!

They are Coming!

what a beautiful gift! So sweet of Pete!

I was so proud of him...It was so "ME" and so perfect!

Lisa, you had me in tears, what a dreamy wedding day. Girl, you are glowing. I am so happy for you.

Tracy

Awe, Thank you! It was all like a dream. It was the best Dream ever!

More please! I love your boquet... it's almost exactly what I was planning! Are your roses red or dark pink? What a great gift from your DH... diamond earrings and necklace on your wedding day:woohoo:! Can't wait to hear the rest!popcorn::

DARK PINK! I loved them. They look red in pictures, but Very Pink in person! I got the Tropical Bouquet and had them alter it!

Pete did a great job with the necklace and earrings! BTW the bridesmaid dresses looked great! can't wait for more!

Thank you! I loved the Bridesmaids dresses. We had them special made in china. It was scary, but once the girls put them on, they were perfect!

That is too funny about your dad's shaved head :rotfl: It is cute how he colored it in! Alyssa is so cute :cutie:

What a great gift from Pete, how thoughtful :cloud9: The locket with your mom made me cry. My grandma passed away several years before my mom got married and she has always talked about how hard it was not to have her there that day.

So, did your BMs help you do all your hair and makeup? That's great that you didn't have to go to the salon on board.

I love the girl's dresses and I can't wait to see more!

Alyssa is the best, thank! The locket made me cry too. I was happy to have part of her with me. I couldn't look at it before the wedding it made me tear right up.

My Bridesmaids did help me some...I am so anal I did most of it myself. LOL It was great not to need to have the salon do it.

Lisa, everything looked beautiful, especially the bride! Cinderella! You and Pete look so in love:goodvibes Sitting here reading, I got teary eyed. what a beautiful day and setting! You flowers were so PRETTY!:goodvibes looking forward to reading more....

Lisa

Your ceremony was just wonderful...congrats again.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I absolutely adore your ring! I experienced Disney for the very first time two weeks ago. I cannot stop looking for hidden mickeys. Your ring is the epitome of my obsession. I love your story and can't wait to see what else you have planned. Congratulations and Best Wishes!!!!!

My Husband did such a good job on the ring. Only Disney Lovers see the Hidden Mickey's!

I cant tell you how much I have loved reading you trip report. It has been so magical.

You make such a wonderful looking couple and look so very happy. It seems like everything was perfect. Thank you so much for sharing it with us

I have never done a disney cruise yet. I cant seem to break away from staying within WDW. Maybe down the road I will break away.

Kind of stinky about the new changes with the photos. It is such a shame that they will no longer allow you to get all the pictures on the cd. What difference does it make to them really. The photos have already been taken so it is just a matter of downloading them onto a cd that costs what? pennies a piece. It is a little ridiculous how they dont realize how these changes make such a big impact on the person experiencing them. I have all my original proofs from my wedding day, and while they arent all pretty, I can look at them and remember each moment they were taken.

Again , thanks for sharing your wonderful day with us. The beautiful photos of such nice weather has sure been a nice break from the nasty cold wet weather we have had up here in MA.

Once your refreshed from your trip and have a chance, I sent you two PMs with some questions for you. I would love you to share some info when you get the chance.

Enjoy your return home and welcome to the honeymoon phase of Married Life...

Loving your TR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is the thing that hangs by your cabin door? I think you said it was a fish extender or something. I have never been on a cruise so I am clueless. :lmao:

On the Disboards there is a thread for every cruise. Fellow Dis-ers sign up and we do a swap of sorts. It is called a Fish Extender because you hang it from the fish. Everyone delivers on differant days and it seems like everytime you get back to your room you have a new treat. We gave out Maryland's Signature Seasoning. But we got lots of Pirate goodies, some personalized gifts like a awesome decorated photo album, we got a bath poof and Islad sented bath wash, we got candy and little treats! It was alot of fun! I got to start the thread for our next November's cruise! Hope to get some people to sign up and play along!

Hey Lisa - I have really enjoyed reading your report and your pictures are just wonderful. I love your girls dresses and all the flowers are great. Sorry we did not see each other in Florida.

When are you guys planning on doing a cruise next November? We are planning a few trips down to Disney for next year - got to take advantage of that Annual Pass. So far we have a trip scheduled for March (Sheldon's birthday), May (my birthday), hopefully one in September or November and then the week between Christmas and NYE. Our pass will be expired by Christmas but we have lots of days on our old passes.

Wow, I can't believe you only had a few hours to pick all those photos. I still haven't ordered my 8x10s from Randy yet :rotfl: It took me a month to pick out the 70 pictures for our album.

Palo's brunch looks amazing, I've only been there for dinner. The desserts look so yummy!

:cool1: for the new suitcase!

On the DVC~ I would try for Beach Club, although I'm an Epcot freak!

Hi Lisa & Pete-
I have been lurking at your PJ & TR since the beginning and I just want to say first of all, congratulations to you both! You look amazing. Your dress is so beautiful and I love the BM dresses. So tropical too. I don't always have time to reply since I am suppose to be working! But I just had to take the time today. Your photos are amazing. What a great job the photographer did and those that your family took with your camera.

I had to laugh when I read about your DH shoes...We all forget something don't we...

BTW I just love your rings...can you take a closeup of them together and post. I know you did before but its hard to see the details. Thanks...

I would love to have a jeweler create a setting with Mickey ears for me too.

This morning was bittersweet. Our cruise was coming to an end, but a whole vacation still awaits! We got up and got dressed in the clothes I had laid out the night before and we packed our carry on bags and off we headed to breakfast!

You have breakfast in the restaurant that you had dinner in the night before, so we showed up at Animators Palate. We had a tasty breakfast and then said our goodbyes and that was it, it was over!

We made our way out to the terminal where we grabbed a bag guy and collected our bags and headed out to meet our private vans for the trip to the airport and our after cruise hotels. Pete's parents took on of Laura's bags by mistake which caused a whole mess of Laura looking for her bag and us needed to get back inside to let her know we had it outside. UGH! It was a mess!

The vans were here and we split up, those going to the airport on one van and the people staying in Florida in the other. We got to ride with Ryleah and Dakoda and their families. It was nice. We dropped everyone off at the airport, but they were so early they couldn't check in. They had a long day waiting at the airport. It was not fun and I really feel bad for them!

We headed to Pop Century to drop Nikki, Ryleah & Jason off. Crystal and her family got off at the airport and rented car so they could visit their family in Florida. I hugged and kissed Ryleah and told her I would see her for her special dinner!

When they got out of the van it was quiet, weird quiet. We had not had quiet the whole trip. errie. We got to the beautiful Animal Kingdom Lodge and checked in and paid for our meal plan. $850 dollars poorer we went to get something to eat. The food court was tiny, we are Value Resort people with it's big bustling food court and here it was small. Don't get me wrong it had EVERYTHING you needed, just on a smaller scale. Pete tried some Zebra Domes. He liked them alot. I am not a cake girl so I skipped them.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3145/3100397258_a3e0b4b821.jpg

We were tired but since our room wasn't yet ready we went to lay on some pool loungers near one of the hot tubs. It was great. We relaxed and talked and enjoyed being together and married.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3249/3100402034_655452fba1.jpg

I even fell asleep for a bit. Our plan for the day was originally to head to Epcot, but since the room wasn't ready we just hung out at the hotel. I called the card they gave us and YAY our room was ready. We headed to it. Now they were doing construction on the main building at the AKL and it was a pain to navigate all around it everyday. The hotel was nice, but I doubt I would want to stay there again. It was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed it, but it was missing something.

We entered out room to find a Mickey Towel Animal. So cute. We had an awesome room. Big bed, sofa, flat screen, mini kitchen and a great bathroom.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3134/3099571015_4836fb5347.jpg

We popped in the video that Jason did from the wedding and snuggled up in bed to watch it.

Around 3:00 or so we got up and got dressed. We had dinner with a prince tonight, the Boss of all the princesses according to Ryleah. We made the long trek to the buses, but then realized it was getting late so we took a cab to the Grand Floridian. It was breathtaking and amazing. One day I want to stay there! Ryleah met us in the lobby and had a Christmas Ornament for us. It was so sweet. It said Just married on it and was topped with Bride Minnie and Groom Mickey.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3019/3100414076_c550a3fceb.jpg

We checked in for dinner and had about a 20 minute wait until 1900 Park Fare opened for the evening. We were excited to eat with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Anastasia and Drusilla, and the Evil Step Mother! We were led to the No. 2 table (the second table that the characters visit) and gave our drink order. We headed to the buffet. OMG was it so good. It was the best buffet I have ever been to. I usually hate buffets, food sitting around waiting to be scooped up, germs, etc. YUK. But in WDW the buffets are small and they are refreshing constantly. Ryleah got a plate and we told her she needed to eat before the characters came out. She started eating and then we heard music and an announcement and out came Prince Charming. He was good and came to talk to her. She asked him where Cinderella was...Cindy is the only one she really cared about! LOL

After the Prince moved on we made her eat some more so Cinderella would come. Out Came Cinderella then every ten minutes or so someone new came out.

We finished up just around desert. OMG the Chocolate mouse was to die for. Yummy!

Pete and I got crowns for just being married (mine said Happy Birthday...LOL). Ryleah snatched mine up for a while. She also enjoyed our cup cake. The best part was Cinderella danced with Ryleah. Ahhh she was in heaven!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3054/3100425254_1549be849b.jpg

We headed to the gift shop to look around after dinner, what the guys and Ryleah didn't know was that we were killing time until our surprise (We couldn't check in for the surprise until 7:15pm). Ryleah had a potty break and Pete and I convinced Jason that pin trading would be fun. He bought his lanyard and a pin and was all set. Nikki came back and the boys went upstairs to look in another store and Ryleah, Nikki and I had a seat in the lobby and listened to the piano player or the big band. They alternate every 15 minutes. Ryleah made each one of us get up and slow dance with her. It was so cute. The guys still had no idea why we were just hanging out in the lobby! LOL

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3278/3100430062_a9af5fb7b5.jpg

It was starting to get dark so I suggested a walk around the resort with a stop at the Marina to see if we could see the fireworks. ekk! As we walked up to the marina Jason jokingly said "Oh boats, wanna take that one out?" I looked at him and replied "Yeah, lets go on a boat ride!" Well at this time we saw TJ and family from our cruise and we walked over to say Hi. Pete shook hands with her husband and said "Weird seeing you here." Still no clue! Then the boat captain walked up to me for me to sign off on the bill for our FIREWORKS CRUISE! Finally the guys got it. We got a life vest for Ryleah and headed to the pontoon boat. I had arranged for TJ and Peggy from the DisBoards and their families to share the Fireworks cruise. We all got onboard and were given blankets and snacks and drinks. I was so happy to meet these people I had been chatting with for months!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3172/3100433560_634f3f99d6.jpg

It was so wonderful. We had about a 45 minute tour of Bay Lake and we Hunted Gators and checked out the old River Country. We had a great tour guide. We found a good spot and tuned the radio so we could hear the music. We had the best seat to enjoy the fireworks. The pictures didn't come out to good because we were on a floating boat, but I hope the video is better. It was magical.

After the fireworks we went on another tour and then got to see the Water Parade. So Awesome. Ryleah fell asleep before we docked.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3203/3099612007_b897cb54a4.jpg

After the cruise we made way to the monorail. We took it to the Magic Kingdom and then transferred to buses back to our hotels. We had a big day tomorrow!

When we got back to our room I went right to sleep while Pete went down to get a drink. He ran into a Fraturnity Brother of his that he had not seen since college. I just slept! LOL It was a great 1st Day to our Walt Disney World Vacation.

Morning Lisa - another great update. As far as our trip down next November - we are not sure of the dates yet but I will keep yours in mind and if we are down there at the same time we will definately get together.

You said your birthday is in May also - mine is May 23. When we are in Disney next May The 5th Dimension will be performing at the Flower & Garden Festival - can't wait to see them.

Between Saratoga Springs and The Beach Club - I would definately choose the Beach Club if you can get it. We stayed in SS for a week while we were down in Disney for our wedding and while we liked it alot (although we had some major problems with our room - which they corrected) it was just so large - we never got a chance to really enjoy it. We are staying at The Beach Club when we are down in May.

I also finally figured out how to post pictures - yeah. There are two of our MK shoot on the thread about having the lights on for December brides. Now that I have finally figured out how to post pictures I will have to start a trip report.

This is the day the trip switched from a Wedding Trip to a Honeymoon Trip. It is also one of the most anticipated days of the trip. Ryleah was going to see the Castle! I was going to see Ryleah see the Magic Kingdom! YAY! I love Ryleahso much. When my Best Friend told me she was pregnant I answered her with "I know it's a girl". It was andshe is one of the sweetest little girls ever. We have a close bond and seeing her love Cinderella and the Castle as much as I do makes be beyond happy!

Pete and I woke up early and Nikki called us before we had even left our hotel. She wanted to tell me they were already at the Magic Kingdom! She was pretty excited. It was sooo early, like before 8am. The park didn't open until 9am. The plan was to meet at 8:30ish in front of the train station. Pete and I were finishing our breakfast when she called so we hurried up to get tothe bus. We ate at the Mara in our hotel and I had a bagel and Pete had the breakfast platter. It was pretty good.

We headed to the bus and caught the first one to the Magic Kingdom. We waited no longer then 10 minutes for a bus during this whole trip. Soon as we got to the gates Ryleah needed a bathroom stop. Nikki took her and then we all stood in front of the train station. Ryleah collected Mickey confetti and we waited for the Opening Show.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3256/3115146869_3e71b07e64.jpg

We got a Disney Photo Pass Photographer to take some group. It was great as always and then at rope drop we headed in under the train station. We made our way up main street. Of course we needed to stop for a few pictures with the Castle (love the castle!).

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3195/3118904615_c71463f080.jpg

We hurried though since we had a tour plan. The breeze way through the castle was closed so we needed to go around. Ugh, 5 minutes waisted. LOL We headed to the right and went up the side ramp near Belle's Story Time.

We got in line for Dumbo right away. Here is where we had the longest wait of the day, about 15-20 minutes. Ryleah was excited and so was I. As you all know I love Disney, not so much for the stuff or atractions as for the feelings it brings. I was so excited to see Ryleahseeing it all for the first time. We boarded Dumbo and I sat in the Elephant directly in front of their ride car. I wanted to take pictures of their first ride. It was a hit!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3123/3115986540_359b6f6a34.jpg

After Dumbo we headed to Pete's favorite ride, Peter Pan. It is so amazing! Ryleah enjoyed it as did the rest of us. After Peter Pan we rode Snow White and then It's a Small World. All fun rides. We got so many rides done in the first hour. YAY our touring plan was working!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3287/3115989536_1c7bd79974.jpg

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3180/3115991598_2f23845254.jpg

After Small world we took another potty break, who knew a 3 year old pee'd so much! LOL Next up was the Haunted Mansion. I love the new updates. Ryleah was a bit nervous and afterwards told us she didn't like that ride at all! LOL

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3122/3115174277_d93ebf6c16.jpg

Pete and Jason wanted to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad so we headed that way. Ryleah was too short to ride so while Nikki went to the bathroom I bought Ryleah her first Mickey Bar. It is a Disney Classic. I got a water and the Mickey bar and used two snack credits. Ryleah enjoyed it so much, who wouldn't....a yummy Mickey Bar. I enjoyed her eating it. I took tons of Pictures.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3241/3116002844_224207ed19.jpg

By now it was about 11:40am and Pete and I had lunch reservations at the Plaza Restaurant for noon. We told Nikki and Jason we would meet them after we ate and we parted ways. Nikki, Jason and Ryleah went to Pirates of the Caribbean and Pete and I walked to the Plaza Restaurant. It was nice to stroll through the Magic Kingdom hand in hand.

Ryleah fell asleep as soon as they were done Pirates so Nikki and Jason grabbed lunch at Pecos Bills. They ate while Ryleah napped. It worked out perfectly. Ryleah got a much needed nap. She still had a long day in front of her.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3072/3116018464_a206ed519e.jpg

Our lunch was great. I had never eaten at the Plaza Restaurant before, but I will surely return. We had burgers and salads and free desert for being on our honeymoon. We also met the Mayor! LOL It is so small in there. I had no idea.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3184/3116015086_85073dd514.jpg

I gave Nikki a call after we were done (what did we all do before cell phones) and Pete and I headed over to Adventureland to meet up with them. Ryleah had just awoke so I used some snack credits to get her a Corn dog and a drink. We went to the Jungle Cruise, but the line was about an hour. We didn't want to wait that long so we left and went to Tomorrowland.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3102/3116019928_ff2477428c.jpg

Ryleah was finishing her lunch and Nikki ran to get fast passes for Space Mountain, then we went to The Laugh Floor Comedy show. It was pretty funny. It was a first time attraction for all of us. I loved the inside. The theming is great. Buzz is right next to the Monsters Inc. show so of course that was or next stop. Pete beat me, his score was about twice the amount of mine.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3273/3115197701_c6190cef03.jpg

I was really excited now because it was time for my favorite Disney attraction ever - The Carousel of Progress - Yay! It was great! Nikki loves it as much as I do so we knew we weren't going to miss it. Ryleah, not as much. She sat on my lap and we played with the previously collected Mickey confetti to pass the time.

Ryleah loves grapes and wasn't eating much of anything so Nikki got a bowl for her to eat while we rested. We all enjoyed them. I love that Disney has healthy snacks all over the park.

Stitch was outside of the Carousel of Progress so of course we got pictures taken.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3055/3116025880_9cd119a3a2.jpg

I love the one of Ryleah kissing his nose. About a year before our trip I started telling Ryleahabout kissing Mickey on the nose. I wanted her to get that picture. Well she did. She got the nose kiss down good. She loves nose kisses now. I still get them. I guess she missed the part about how they were for characters with big fake noses. LOL

Pete, Ryleah and I went on the People Mover for two rounds (they let us stay on a 2nd time - there is never a line for this ride) so Nikki and Jason could go ride Space Mountain. We had fun talking about our day with Ryleah. She loved the part where you go in the building and it is all dark. Doesn't Pete look cute with Mickey Confetti stuck on his face?

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3110/3116026190_d07a3ed671.jpg

After the people mover we found the stroller and went to look for Nikki and Jason. We didn't get far before a bathroom break was needed. Ryleah and I went in search of a potty while Pete hit up the Merchant of Venus andStar Traders, boy loves some gift shops. Then Nikki found us and we lost Jason. Ugh...LOL! Finally we were all together and we headed to Toontown by the secret path next to the train tracks. We went in Minnie's house and Mickey's House. They were kinda crowded so we went through pretty fast. Pete and I got a drink while Ryleah, Nikki & Jason went on Goofy's Barnstormer. I called my sister and caught up on things. I hate being out of contact with my family, that is why we vacation so much together.

After the roller coaster we rode the train to the front of the park. We had reservations for Tony's Town Square for dinner, it's a must do each trip for us. They just don't have enough sit down restaurants in the Magic Kingdom. In the camera shop Jason found the DVD's he needed for their video camera. He ran out in the morning. He didn't want to miss the parade or fireworks. Dinner was so good. I love eating at Tony's. Pete and I had the Steak, Nikki and Ryleah had spaghetti and Jason had Chicken Parm. Ryleah didn't care about eating very much, but we all enjoyed a break. I think a sit down meal while touring a the park is so great, you get to eat a good meal and rest. It is so relaxing after going full force all day.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3280/3115207397_ed1ab904f1.jpg

When we came out of Tony's it was dark. That meant parade time! Pete and I went to save seats and Nikki and Jason went to look in some stores. Jason joined us and Nikki took Ryleah for yet another potty break. The bathroom in Tomorrowland was closed for cleaning so Nikki had to hussle all the way over to the bathrooms near Casey's. They made it back in time to wait for about 10 minutes for the parade. Ryleah wanted to hula hoop in the street with the kids so bad. There wasn't a free hula hoop, but she was so excited just watching and waiting for one to open up. Well once a little girl got hurt a hula hoop opened up and I rushed her out to it. LOL She tried her best to pick it up with both hands.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3076/3116038258_b3246fd2f7.jpg

We got a good laugh out of this. Then she dropped it and some one else snatched it up. Ryleah likes sharing and went up to a little girl and asked if they could take turns. The little girl said sure (even kids are nice in WDW). Ryleah only got a quick turn then it was parade time!

We heard the music change and got into position. YAY the parade was starting. I love the Spectomagic so much. Alot of the princesses pointed out my ears. Little congratulations were given to us all day long. It was wonderful! Ryleah loved the parade and waved until I thought her arm was going to fall off.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3222/3116041772_f08ab6bb1f.jpg

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3194/3115241791_b0dc6089c3.jpg

After the parade we moved over towards the middle to get a spot for the fireworks. Poor Ryleah was so tired she fell asleep before they even started. I am so glad we went to see the fireworks on the boat the night before, atleast she got to see Wishes once! The fireworks were delayed for almost a half hour. Nikki and I sat on the ground to wait. A medic helicopter went over the castle once, then again 15-20 minutes later. I guess that was the hold up.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3225/3116073084_ff35bd1b7c.jpg

Then Wishes started. It was magical. I tried to get some pictures, but I didn't have my tripod so most are pretty shaky. It was pretty great though. I was seeing one of my favorite things with some of my favorite people.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3139/3116089864_cb16fbb4e8.jpg

After the fireworks Pete and I went to take some pictures of the castle and Nikki and Jason and sleeping Ryleah headed to the exit by way of a store or two.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3040/3116096696_5e3975aa60.jpg

We ran into them again near the exit and we all walked out together. They headed to the bus for the Pop and us to the Animal Kingdom.

Today was one of my favorite days ever. Ryleah LOVED it and the whole day was pretty perfect!

When we got back to the hotel I crashed and Pete went to get a drink. Again I didn't see him until the next morning!

We just bought a Nikon S610 because my old point and shoot died and I always need a "purse camera". It takes really really good pictures. This is the cheapest I could find it. CLICK HERE (http://www.adorama.com/INKCPS610GYA.html?searchinfo=nikon%20coolpix%20s61 0&item_no=3?searchinfo=nikon%20coolpix%20s610&item_no=3) It was $300 at Best Buy and Circuit City.

It takes really great pictures.

My BFF has a D40x and it is very much the same. I think I have a few extra MP's. Mine also came with a vibration reduction lens.

I took pictures of the fireworks later in the trip using a tripod and they turned out good too. These I just lucked out. I was sitting on the ground in front of the castle!

Lisa, I love all the detail in your trip report so far!

I must try the zebra domes; I've always heard about them, but have never seen a picture until now. The fireworks cruise looked like a lot of fun! We have done that before with family and we loved it!

All the shots of Ryleah are so cute princess: It sounds like your day in the Magic Kingdom was such a perfect day. I love the Plaza restaurant; its such a nice little place tucked away from most the hustle and bustle.

Thank you so much. Ryleah is a doll baby! She got so upset when she found out they were going hom saturday.

Nikki woke up and started packing and Ryleah got up and said "Hey Mama, are we going to the Kingdom again to day?" Nikki told her no we are going home today. Ryleah broke down in tears and sobbed "But I thought this was our home now!!!!"

How Funny is that!

I'm SO jealous you guys all went on the fireworks cruise.

Your pics are ADORABLE. The one of the back of Ryleah's (sp?) mouse ears is awesome! And you'll have to tell me what setting your camera was on to get those awesome fireworks shots. My sister and I saw Holiday Wishes Tuesday night and it was the first time I had my new camera for the pictures! I wasn't great at figuring out the proper setting though and of course I couldn't predict when the more impressive fireworks were coming up since I don't really know the Holiday Wishes like "the back of my hand" like I do w/the regular Wishes!

Anyway enough about me...

Mikkel, I agree with you about Lisa's great pics... and I had to laugh. I adore Ali's handwriting font... even more since I actually met her Oct 07 at the Crocs display in the Emporium (she was in Orlando for CKU and was buying a pair for her DS)! She's really sweet and down-to-earth. Only makes me appreciate her that much more!

Just got caught up on your updates!! I am enjoying your TR!!:) Your pictures of the fireworks were awesome!! I also like the picture of Ryleah with her mouse ears...is that photoshopped? I like how the outside of the pic looks cloudy..Where exactly is the plaza restaurant? Another question? How much does it cost to do a fireworks cruise? How many people does the boat hold? Just curious..

It is Photoshopped. Not well, I am still learning all the ins and outs. Thank you though.

Where exactly is the plaza restaurant?

If you are going down Main Street the Plaza is on the Right at the very end next to the Ice Cream Shop.

Another question? How much does it cost to do a fireworks cruise? How many people does the boat hold? Just curious..

It Cost about $300 for the fireworks cruise and the boat holds 10. I split the cost by 10 and then tipped the driver around $70 cause he was really very good!

Day eight again…..I was almost done with Day eight and boom my computer just shut down! Soo weird. Oh Well here it goes again! This time in Word first with automatic save every few minutes!

We were so tired this morning that I went back to sleep as my husband went down to the hot tub for a soak. One of the best parts of the deluxe hotels is the great spas. AHhhh! Wish I was there now. So once he got back I got up and dressed and we headed to the bus the long way. We wanted to get a few pictures around the hotel.

After a quick stop in the gift shop, my honey’s weakness, we headed to the bus stop. There was a cast member at the bus stop with a big box that had three holes cut in it. We had to put our hands in and try to guess what was inside.

Pete went first, in the first box was a vertebra, and very fitting since Pete is a Chiropractor. In the next box was a horn and in the last box was a tooth. I forget what animals they were each from. Soon as we were done the bus was pulling up. We were off to Epcot.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3296/3152799332_eca7d6be3e.jpg

Then we jumped in line for Spaceship Earth. This line was like 30-40 minutes long. How crazy! I loved the new updates, but missed Snow White and Dopey dancing.

We had to stop for pins (of course, they are just next to gift shops in Pete’s eyes) then we stopped for sun block since someone forgot to lotion up this morning…..nope not me, I never forget!

There was a boat getting ready to go to Italy and that is right where we had lunch reservations.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3293/3151866369_bd84398ddf.jpg

We had never eaten at Tutto Italia Ristorante but I highly recommend it. YUM! We had a great waitress who explained to us about how Disney finds the employees to work in the world showcase and how they get working visas and can only work in the country they were assigned to. She was a bit homesick and said she cannot wait to get home to see her family.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3261/3151876723_2e7d7b2f3b.jpg

We explored “Italy” when we were done and bought three bottles of Rosa Regale. We had them delivered to the front of the park to pick up at the end of the day. Surprisingly you cannot have alcohol delivered right to your hotel. After Italy we headed to Germany and Pete got a Renesburger Sausage on a Pretzel Roll. We had just eaten lunch! LOL

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3105/3152722424_ff7b7c46a1.jpg

The Food and Wine Festival had brought sooo many people to Epcot today. I knew it would be crowed since it was the last weekend of the Food and Wine Fest, but WOW! It was actually to crowded to enjoy the beauty of it all.
We decided to check out America, since we usually skip it (I mean we live here every day!). We went to the Sam Adams tasting demo but it was full so we had an hour or so until the next one so we went to see Voices of Liberty and the American Adventure. They were both great and I am so glad we took the time to do them this trip!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3130/3151890191_3271273647.jpg

We got in line for the Sam Adams tasting demo. I am not a Sam Adams drinker so Pete got double free beer. We also got free key chain bottle openers; I proceeded to get my thumb stuck in it. I spent the rest of the demo trying to get it out….I did finally, if not typing this would be really hard. LOL Did you know Sam Adams makes a special Food and Wine Brew just for the Festival each year? Brandon, my brother in law is so excited to try it when we go in October/November 2009.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3255/3151902779_ca164281d6.jpg

Our plan was to meander through the countries, but the crowds were everywhere. It was packed! After we left America (after looking at pins and the DVC booth) we went to Japan and Morocco. I spotted the Beast, but the line was so long and they closed it soon as we got there. I was happy just getting a picture.

France….I have been looking forward to France since I saw Sandra Brown’s special. I needed a Grey Goose Lemon Slushy. Pete had the Grand Marnier Orange Slushy.

Best $9 drinks I have ever tasted! As we were heading over the bridge near the International Gateway I spotted the Disney Tattoo Guy! I ran behind him trying to get a picture. Pete was beyond embarrassed!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3244/3152749638_2d163d59c0.jpg

LOL I got my shot and agreed to stop for a Disney Photo Pass picture with the Eiffel Tower. See we got our lovely yummy slushies in the picture too!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3266/3152813372_b83e8a479e.jpg

As we headed into the UK I saw the Tattoo guy AGAIN. Ok this time I handed Pete the camera and told him to get a picture. Then I walked up to him and asked to take a picture with him. Wow, it was like meeting a celebrity!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3133/3151924399_054e2466a8.jpg

Pete again was mortified. LOL We talked a few times and he told me he had over 2000 Disney Tattoos, more than anyone in the world. How awesome. Now it has me thinking I want to cover up my Lady Bugs with a Mickey Mouse Tattoo…..but then I remember the pain….ugh!

After meeting the celebrity we walked through Canada and talked about how good our dinner was there last year. Then we bought a Mickey head spinning metal thing to hang up outside. It is pretty cool. We checked out a few other stands then sat on a bench and watched the monorail.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3251/3151927533_1580cc07c2.jpg

I love it. We rested and talked and then called to check on my sister and my favorite baby. A really nice CM came and talked for ever…so long we gave up our great seats cause we needed to get away. LOL

We had a quick bathroom break and then headed into the Figment ride. It was a first for both of us. Not a great ride, BUT the CMs in the shop after the ride had the best pins. I think we got like 4 or 5 great ones there. Pete said we will need to go there next year just to scope out the pins. LOL
It was almost dinner time so we headed to the Coral Reef and I checked us in. They said it will be 40 minutes or so. I used this time to call Mikkel! We talked for the entire 55 minutes that we waited. Finally I got to talk to her and tell her all about the wedding. We saw a Bride (are you a DISer? If so let me know) and her wedding party walking to what I assume was her reception at the Coral Reef. She looked pretty and I LOVED her bridesmaid dresses!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3207/3151935709_ed3c612283.jpg

Finally our buzzer buzzed and we headed in. I was so excited. I had a surprise for my HUSBAND!!!

They led us to our table and we were right next to the glass. We were in awe over how pretty it was inside. They handed us our menus and Pete got the first surprise. He opened the menu and it was full of pictures of US!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3106/3151936811_e541f3327a.jpg

He was so surprised, it was so cute. He kept asking me how I did this. We placed our order and started watching the divers and fish (AND SHARKS) and talking about our day.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3284/3151941371_a68c76943a.jpg

It was nice. Then a diver swam towards the window and Pete said “Look he is holding a sign….wonder if it says help me?” They unrolled the sign and held it up to the window and Pete started reading it and his eyes teared up and he looked over at me and was like “How?” LOL The Sign said “Pete, The Day I Married You All of My Dreams Came True, Love Lisa”.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3122/3151942089_02aba97f04.jpg

YAY….He was surprised. I was so happy. They later brought us the sign so we can keep it forever! We had a great dinner. It was so good!
After dinner we were heading out and ran into Pete’s “Friends”, people he met at the pool during his drink runs at night.

We headed out even thought the fireworks were starting. We were tired and wanted to get to bed. We did stop for a few pictures of Spaceship Earth all lit up.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3109/3151993277_50b42abbcb.jpg

The bus was waiting for us when we got to the stop and we were back at the hotel in no time.

I read your entire Wedding Honeymoon TR just now! We just went on our first cruise at the beginning of December. Castaway Cay is just gorgeous--what great memories for your wedding, which was beautiful btw...your nieces are just the cutest! I loved reading every bit...my DS4 enjoyed your pictures and he said, hey that girl got married on our beach! ;)
Congrats

OMG!! You guys are the cutest couple!! And you were a beautiful bride. :goodvibes :goodvibes

My DH and I just sat here and read your PJ. We have been trying to decide what to do for a VR. A DFTW is out of the question for us, so we were going to do it at The Swan, but I have not had the best time with them. Then his family said they couldn't come, etc.. so we were debating on doing a VR on the cruise line. Reading this and seeing all of your awesome pics really makes me want to do it. I was going to use Randy Chapman at the Swan...to bad I can't take him with me.

Congratulations to both of you!! :dance3:
I'll have to start on your TR next.

Thank you so much! The DCL Wedding was the best, I loved every second of it. Now saying that I must let you know the Photography department SUCKS! Sure I got great pictures (if I do say so myself...LOL) but it took work. I directed almost every shot and then had to fight them for the CD of pictures promised to me. My friend Mikkel (she is Pixiedusted on the dis) is getting married on DCL in May and after I shared with her my problems she found a great photgrapher willing to come on the cruise and do her pictures and it is only costing her the amount of his cruise, She booked his room, for him and his wife and he is taking her pictures, editing them and giving her a disk with all rights. It is going to cost her $200 more then what my pictures cost me and they are going to be amazing! I am Jelous! LOL But happy for her to not have the hassle I had. I loved my wedding though and think you should go for it! If you have ANY questions let me know! I am a travel agent on the side and can look stuff up for you and all!

Hey! I am glad you are liking my TR...It is taking forever to get done. LOL The shirt came from the Disney Store...4.99 special. NOW here is the secret....They only had it in a large so I bought it....I am SO not a large. I cut out the decal very carefully and I used liquid stitch and applied it to a new Purple shirt in my size. I loved the shirt so much and knew I needed it...So I got it knowing it didn't fit. My husband and sister laughed at me so hard for doing it, but they were both impressed at the final product!

I laughed about my thumb the rest of the presentation. DH was so imbarassed! LOL

]Ugh....It is getting harder and harder to wake up each day so early! We though we planned this trip low key, and that is how is started out, BUT there is sooo much to do in WDW that I kept adding things until we were super busy. I like it that way!

I woke up nice and early today, Sunday and sat outside and enjoyed the view from our room. It was so pretty!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3359/3187075899_d84508f820.jpg

I woke Pete up and we started getting ready. We had a very important date at the Castle this morning for breakfast at 8:00am! We got a bus and were on our way to the Magic Kingdom with no trouble at all.

Ahhh....When I walk through that train station I get goose bumps! It is so great! I love it! The park was nice and empty since it didn't technically open for another hour.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3378/3187081659_55c44dd364.jpg

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3509/3187083145_1f51ee1014.jpg

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3357/3187084121_a48238b0e0.jpg

We strolled hand in hand up main street and took lots of pictures. It is just so pretty. I am happiest standing on Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom. It is my Happy Place for sure.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3418/3187928196_54fc995881.jpg

We checked into the Castle and got to meet Cinderella right away.

Then we headed up the steps and were led to our table by the window overlooking Fantasy Land. How awesome! The table was decorated with confetti in the shape of Royal Coaches and castles.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3128/3187937988_361e03bb73.jpg

Ohhh no matter how ofter we do this breakfast (every trip) I love it! I love being inside the castle. It is truly something everyone should get to experience.

Breakfast was yummy and we met all of the Princesses: Snow White, Aurora, Mary Poppins (not really a princess, but nice anyway) and Belle.

When Breakfast was over I made a fast bathroom break, it was packed in there and then we headed out to Fantasy Land. Of course I checked and someone had already awoke Tinkerbell, maybe next time! Then Pete tried his luck at the Sword in the Stone....He was not strong enough!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3530/3187111265_1ec0727b73.jpg

I wanted to do a few things this morning that we usually skip over due to time constraints and the like. First up the Carousel. I found Cinderella's horse, but it was up really high and I couldn't get up on it, well I probably could have, but I picked one that was lower to the ground (remember this)! It was fun and Pete took tons of picture of me riding.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3467/3187117947_eb8ba0e0c2.jpg

I am happy we did this. I couldn't get him on a horse, but I enjoyed my 3 minutes! Then it was time to get off....Remember that horse that was down low when I got on, well now it was really high! LOL What was I gonna do? I tried getting off by sliding down, but then I was doing a split with my leg up near my ear! LOL Thank goodness Pete didn't get any pictures of this. It was so funny. I am Thankful I am flexible. LOL

We strolled around and saw a line forming at Toontown, must be to meet Tinkerbell I told Pete. We got in line for a ride I have not rode since I was like three. For some reason I always Skip it. OMG we had so much fun. Pete was pretending to be scared, then I spun it really fast and he was laughing. It was great!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3474/3187964830_ee153d50e9.jpg

I have saw a picture that my favorite Photographers, The Roots had taken with the spinning tea cups and I tried to recreate that shot. After 45 tried I got one or two I am semi happy with!

Then I saw Alice and the Mad Hatter getting on the Tea Cups. How fun! I got a few pictures of them and then we headed over to get in line to meet them. Pete had never met Alice before! The shock! LOL

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3318/3187983364_72285405ce.jpg

Now I tried for a Tea Cup picture again. This one is my favorite.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3267/3187990598_641dbd3b72.jpg

It was almost 10am now so We headed to the line for Toon Town. We went straight to the Judge's tent, did not pass go, did not collect $200 dollars, just went right there at rope drop and the line was already 75 minutes long to meet Tinkerbell! NO WAY! We were not going to waste that kind of time in a line in the value season!

We got in line for the princesses since it was only 10 minutes. I lent a lady my Cell phone in line, she was waiting for her husband who had their camera. She got ahold of him and he met her at the front of the line. YAY! her little girls would have pictures. I was fully ready to offer to take some and email them to her had she not go her husband.

We went into the room and Met Cinderella again, and Sleeping Beauty. I was so hoping for Belle in the Yellow Dress. After our meet and greet we went into the store. Ugh gift shops are Pete's weakness. We used a snack credit and got a peanut butter cup and water.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3514/3187155329_33681db943.jpg

We bought my niece, Alyssa some Mr. Potato head parts and we each picked out our first of many Christmas Tree Ornaments. Then we jumped on the train and rode a complete circle around the park. Once we got to the front we got off and headed for the Monorail to the TTC.

We were going to spend the afternoon in Animal Kingdom.

At the TTC we went to find the bus for the Animal Kingdom. This was the longest wait all trip!

We got there around 11:30 and we had ADR's for noon at Yak & Yeti. It was early for lunch, but it was all I could get.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3523/3187164365_5b34dae3ab.jpg

We took some pictures and walked around and checked out the sites a bit and then we checked Yak and Yeti.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3515/3188007544_636765c731.jpg

This was the first time here for both of us. Pretty cool inside. We had a great lunch and we talked. I took a percosit for my hurting blister on my foot. It was god awful! I was then feeling all kinds of loopy! LOL

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3329/3188015634_e888984e01.jpg

After lunch we went to Expedition Everest and waited in the longest line of our trip. Like 45-50 minutes. It is sooo worth it though.

Has anyone ever spotted this little yeti with Mickey Mouse Ears on?

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3466/3188024272_222d90b004.jpg

What a great roller coaster. I took pictures as we cruised around the mountain.

After our ride we were both tired. We knew we had a HUGE day tomorrow morning so we headed back to the hotel to rest. I took a wonderful nap. It was so relaxing! While I was in the shower Vicki from Peddles called. She had my Bouquet for the photo shoot tomorrow! YAY! I sent Pete down to pick it up and I finished getting ready.

We had a Date with Mikkel and Jason before dinner. We were worried about being late and we were feeling so lazy we took a cab to the Grand Floridian. We got there and were super early! LOL figures. We found a nice sofa and sat and talked about our wonderful day so far. Not too long passed and Mikkel called they were almost to the Grand Floridian and she had a present for me!

She is the sweetest and soooo did not need to bring me a present, but I am sooo glad that she did! It was a cake! Not a real one, but one she decorated and made so I would have a top layer to save. It is sooo pretty!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3334/3187204183_f4be082390.jpg

We headed up to the bar there, and it was sooo freaking loud. I told her all about the troubles with DCL and what she should do differently. We looked at my pictures and ohhed and ahhed over them. It was great to be sitting with her. Hours of chatting online and phone calls were nothing compared to seeing each other face to face. Pete and Jason were quite since they would have had to yell to be heard that damn music! Plus I don't think Jason was feeling well. No fruity mixed girly drinks for him!

It was almost time for our Dinner reservations at Narcoosees so we had to tell them goodbye. Not with out a few pictures first. I look goofy in them though. I don't think Pete even checked the screen after he took them!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3080/3187205601_817ddb6613.jpg

We got to Narcoosees and we sat outside and looked at the Castle! Sooo pretty!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3301/3188047898_08f9cdb765.jpg

We had requested a Castle view table so we had to wait like 15 minutes. When we were seated we had special Menu's that said Congratulations. It was so nice. Pete got the lobster and I got the Surf and Turf. YUMMY! We also got Congratulations deserts.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3468/3187210415_a3fd7a242d.jpg

Our Bill was $200! yikes! Thank god for the dinning plan.

I wanted to hang out for the fireworks, but Pete convinced me to go to bed. I did have to get up at 2:50am the next morning!

We took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and then the bus to the Animal Kingdom.

I was asleep by 9:30! What a long full day!

Lisa,

Awesome report, as usual!! How did you arrange for the diver to hold up that sign at dinner?? That would be really neat to surprise my DH with!! Also, the menu with your pics was awesome!! I am loving this report. Keep it coming...:goodvibes

I called the Coral Reef about the diver. Just like the menus. I did however hear they are stopping it this year. :(

I got Day 9 done today and tomorrow is Day 10....Magic Kingdom Photo Day! Lets see if I can get it done tomorrow! LOL

Ok, so I am so late joining your TR but no worries I read the ENTIRE thing the last two nights. My Husband is very jealous of you right now :lmao: Everything sounds so perfect, from the proposal to the wedding to the honeymoon...you are a very, very lucky girl! Can't wait to read more updates!!

You read it all! WOW! I hope you have enjoyed it! Thank you, I am lucky I got me a great guy!

You made that shirt?! Wow - you did an incredible job - you'd never know it didn't come like that.

I NEEDED that shirt. You should have saw me...hours cutting it out. LOL

Loving your trip report, you're getting me all excitied for my wedding and Disney Cruise-Moon.

YAY! You will LOVE the cruise. So wonderful!

Your MK photos are the best I've seen!

DF and I weren't impressed with the others we saw, so we cancelled our session.
I hope I don't regret it later. :sad2:

We sort of wanted to save the money for other post-wedding investments.

Also, I love your TR!!

What days were you at the Food & Wine Festival?
DF and I were there the day after Halloween.

Thank you! I had saw some I loved, but some were horrible. I sought out the bad ones and I made sure I didn't get the photographer they had. It is a once in a lifetime photo shoot. I love the pictures with the Castle. If we re did it, I would have probally left off the Epcot ones. We were sooo sleepy by the time we got there!

We were at the food and Wine Fest on Saturday Nov. 8.

I have been reading your PJ and TR for months and I don't think I have ever come out of my lurking closet to tell you Congratulations!

Everything was beautiful. You did an amazing job planning everything and your wedding day was goregous!

Well Welcome...glad you came out of lurkdom to say Hi! Thank you so much, it was alot of work but soooo worth it!

i love the chopsticks photo!! hahahaha!!

LOL.....Darn drugs!

I love some of the teacup shots and the ones on Everest. We have only done dinner at the castle, it looks like the breakfast is a blast though, I definitely want to try it on a future trip. Narcoossee's looks really nice too; we're trying it for the first time on our anniversary trip in 2 weeks. I can't wait to read more :goodvibes

Lisa, I just keep looking and looking at your pictures. They are so great!!! When my DH gets home from adjuster school I'm so going to talk with him about a vow renewal on DCL. I do have a question for you about your photography package. I'm sorry if this seems too nosey, but how much was it with the CD of all your pictures and everything?? I'm trying to get a price list together and I'm thinking around $1000. Is that about right??

Goldeelox9
01-27-2009, 12:38 PM
Pooh....Nothing is too nosey for me. I will spill just about all I know!

The DCL wedding was soo great. The only thing they could improve on is the Photography. The package with the CD was $1000, you get TONS of prints too. They wanted to only give me 75 images on the CD because they are changing the packages around. I refused since the original contract packet I have had ALL images on a CD. I don't know of any girls who have recieved the new paperwork that only stated 75. I do know of atleat one other bride who had to fight for all her images on a CD. They caved though. Also it seems as if the photographer is hit or miss. My guy knew how to work the camera, but lacked artistic quaility. I tried to set up shots and some turne dout good. My husband listened to my direction and so did the photographer.

Onother option would be to find a local Photographer, like one in FL who would be willing to come and shoot the wedding and give you the CD all for the cost of a free vacation. I know that is what another DCL bride is doing now since I told her about the shady-ness of the Photography department.

I wouldn't let this discourage you though, the wedding was amazing and my pictures turned out great! You just have to be assertive as to what you do and do not want!

01-27-2009, 02:35 PM
Thanks so much Lisa!!! I can't wait to discuss all this with DH. I have wanted a vow renewal FOREVER!!!

Pooh_Girl
01-27-2009, 03:11 PM
One more question for you...Is that the price of the photography package itself or is that just the price of the CD??

Goldeelox9
01-27-2009, 03:57 PM
It is the price of the whole package. They won't sell just the CD! I had a LONG LONG fight on this one, but I could not get them to budge! I sent in a complaint letter! BUT I hearthey have a special VR photo package. Betsy....Betsy....Help here please!

They have a Vow Renewal Package for $175..it included

it came with 20 5x7's and 5 8x10's plus the photographer for an hour..he took about 200 shots..we did do some bartering for our Lifestyle shots..but I understand that isn't the norm..it depends on the manager in Shutters at the time of the cruise

Lisa...Great TR and PJ!!! Pete seems like an amazing guy! Tim(DF) is an amazing one also! Tim and I are having a DCL wedding in April and you were a big help for us! Everything looked so amazing...We can't wait!

I do have one question about your MK photo shoot...How did you go about booking that, and what is the cost, what times were available? Sorry so many questions, and if they are too nosey I understand! Thanks in advance!

YAY! Another DCL Bride. You can call Dara Blonde at 407-827-1577 and she can schedule it for you. It cost $1000 for th 5x7 package and 1250 for the 8x10 package. YOu can add a second park for $300. The times they do the pictures are 5am and 6am. EARLY! But sooo worth it.

2:50am.....Beep Beep Beep....Ring Ring Ring. I am wide awake! The alarm is going off and the wake up call is ringing in. I am awake and it is not even 3am. YAWN!

I get up and jump in the tub. I took a nice baththen a shower to wash my hair. When I got out of the bath I woke Pete up. It was about 3:30 am. He didn't want to get up so I told him that he can go back to sleep for a while. I started blow drying my hair. I had lent my curling iron to Crystal on the cruise and I didn't have it...Damn it. So I wasn't going to be able to put my hair up in rollers, I need the curling iron to finish it off. Plus I was super tired. It was the 10th day of our trip and we had enjoyed a long vacation so far. We were beat! It takes me 45 minutes to blow dry my hair, then I started in on my makeup. I wanted it to look really good, but it ended up only looking like my normal makeup. I was too tired to care.
Today was the day of our Magic Kingdom & Epcot Photo shoots. These pictures should have been taken 3 days ago, 3 parks ago, but do to rescheduling of the castle show practices we had to be rescheduled. We did get a nice upgrade because of it.

Pete woke up and finished his ironing and then he helped me into my dress! Ahhh I love my dress. It is so pretty. I feel like a princess when ever I wear it. We were all ready when Amy called to tell us she was in the lobby. The time is now 4:45am!!!!

We headed to the Lobby when Pete realized we forgot our Mickey Ears. I so wanted a picture of us looking at the Castle with out ears on so Pete ran back to the room. I slowly made my way to the lobby. Everyone I passed congratulated me. EKKK! I had my flowers with me.

It was like a wedding day all over. When I got to the lobby I gave Amy a stack of pictures that I loved, styles I wanted recreated. I knew right away that she was going to be great to work with. I was upset we forgot our Point and Shoot. I have no backstage pictures. I will have to keep my mental pictures in my mind forever!

We set up the Magic Kingdom and Epcot Photo shoots through Disney Fairytale Weddings. You have to have a Disney Wedding to be illagable for the shoot. It is a once in a lifetime experience.

They drove us into the Magic Kingdom through a backstage entrance. We drove in over near Space Mountain and drove up to the Carousel, near the castle. It was AMAZING to be inside the park all alone, so very early. The first look of the castle made me tear up. Pete warned me not to cry or I would mess up my make up. The park was a buzz of activity. There were people painting the outside of TinkerBell's shop and the fountain. That is why we don't have any Cinderella's fountainpictures. There were people cutting the grass, in the dark with push mowers that had big headlights attached to the front! It was so awesome to see....I walked around in amazement! I cry every time I see the castle and to be there, all alone like it was my castle....It was just over the top!

We first took pictures near the Partners Statue.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3068/3046009109_ea2dda154b.jpg

I didn't want alot from this angle so we just got a few, then we moved to the ramps. I love the ramp pictures.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3035/3046844080_64305b15b1.jpg

Amy set up the light and took some awesome pictures. Then we moved to the archway. I didn't get the arch picture I wanted but i got a few good ones.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3062/3046642834_be6daaea91.jpg

We also took pictures right in front of the Castle....These are my favorites! They turned out so good!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3244/3046009233_f2673f212e.jpg

After that we headed into the castle. EKKK! We took a few pictures in the Lobby of Cinderella's Royal Table.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3162/3046844278_7509a0c47f.jpg

Then we took some in front of the Christmas Tree they had set up, we used these for our Christmas card.

Then we went into a secret door into the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique....Where little girls can have makeovers and turn into real life princesses. I didn't want a whole lot of pictures inside. I wanted picture of MY Castle!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3136/3045809487_2afdeb2eb2.jpg

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3019/3045809563_d32348395c.jpg

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3060/3046009437_9a8994fc3e.jpg

We headed outside and went up into the Balcony in the back of the Castle and got pictures taken overlooking Fantasy Land.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3034/3045809593_84acf69f09.jpg

Amy was very good about not taking pictures up our nose. I have saw many Balcony shots where it looks like the photographer was right under the couple. Amy had to get the workers to move thier lights and stuff, I was so afraid I was going to drop my bouquet during these pictures. I held on to it for every shot.

We got back into the van and drove to the bridge by Frontier Land. I wanted Main Street shots, but the Christmas decorations were all up. We were married in the beginning of November, not December. I didn't want Christmas decorations all in my Wedding pictures. We got to the bridge, the pictures I really wanted! This is my favorite Castle viewing location. I love pictures taken here. I take Castle pictures every time fromt his very space!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3034/3046009487_5da2ba1c4f.jpg

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3056/3046643134_5603220102.jpg

Amy was great she took the pictures with the Castle, then she took the pictures of us looking at the Castle with out Mickey Ears.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3187/3046643162_4bd29ac14b.jpg

Then Amy climbed up on a stool, borrowed from the snack shop right there, Sleepy Hallow. She got one of my favorite pictures of all time. LOVE IT.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3139/3045809741_0cbebeee15.jpg

Then we loaded back into the van and traveled to the area near Splash Mountain. The sun was coming up and we got great pictures of us watching it from the bridge over near Splash Mountain.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3213/3045809777_497c57e564.jpg

Once again we jumped back into the van. We talked about other photo shoots and we drove out of the park through the entrance where the parade floats enter. We drove to Epcot using back roads. I told her about the countries I wanted to visit, but really I had the pictures I came for. I wanted BED!

We entered into the World Showcase through a back gate near Morocco. We went to France first. I liked a few of the outside pictures, but not the inside ones. We took lots of french pictures!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3244/3108792741_2ae2c55cbd.jpg

After France I had told Amy that I needed pictures in Italy but another Disney Bride was having her wedding there in like an hour. So we hurried up and got to Italy. I didn't get to see Linda, but I saw her husband and family there. We hurried through Italy and I didn't get all the shots I wanted.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3152/3108788731_de59574e53.jpg

Germany is right next to Italy so we went there and took a few pictures. Pete's parents are German, like Grandparents right from Germany German, so I knew they would love these pictures.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3138/3109619836_09cfdaa237.jpg

We went to Morocco last, I wanted to do Japan also, but we were so tired.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3014/3108791347_f5d92f2b6d.jpg

We took some pictures around Morocco and then a few with the Epcot Ball, and then we headed back to our hotel.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3293/3108791479_151c9cbd31.jpg

Why was out room so far away from the front desk....I drug myself to the room and got SOOO many congratulations along the way. Soon as I got into the room Pete helped me strip! All of that Wedding gear is heavy after hours and hours. It was 8:30am when we got home. Looking back onit we should have went to MGM, but instead we crawled into bed and went to sleep. We slept through our 12pm dinging reservations and our 1pm dining reservations. I made two in case we were tired! LOL

We woke up around 1pm and headed to the Mara to get burgers for lunch. After lunch we went swimming in the pool and then for a soak in the hot tub. It was great. When I was done my soak I fell asleep by the hot tub. Pete woke me up and I went up to the room and slept for another hour. Boy waking up before 3am can tire you out!

I woke up from my nap and showered and we headed to Downtown Disney.

We played in the fountain, not getting really wet!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3084/3217207114_76623deb2c.jpg

Then we hit up the Christmas show and boy did we shop! We got great things, ornaments, a Tree Skirt and some gifts.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3392/3216361129_e82e10b1c3.jpg

We went into Once Upon a Toy and filled another Box of Mister Potato Head parts for Alyssa. We also got a Magical Moments Certificate.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3123/3216365559_4f7105087b.jpg

We used some snack credits in Goofy's Candy shop before heading back to the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3470/3217218252_a37fd6daef.jpg

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3528/3216362827_0931049ff8.jpg

We had dinner reservations for Jiko at 8:30pm. We were seated next to a great couple. We talked to them through our whole meal. The staff brought us a congratulations card signed by all of the staff in their native language. They were all from different parts of Africa! How Awesome! It is something I will keep forever.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3362/3217224050_facb3e44e7.jpg

The Pistachio Creme Brulee was to die for! YUM!

After desert we headed back to bed. I was still so tired. Our vacation as winding down and so was I. It was nice to crawl into bed. I was asleep before Pete was done showering! He went to the Mara for a drink then he hit the sack too! What an exciting day!!!!

DAY ELEVEN is HERE!! (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=30558133&postcount=853)

Today was our last day at Walt Disney World. It was a long good vacation and I was sad that it was almost over. Tonight we had tickets to the Christmas Party so we were taking it easy today. We slept in then headed to Boma for a great Breakfast.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3446/3272837817_6bba4b3500.jpg

Everything was so good. The juice is to die for!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3334/3273658646_876e9f90d9.jpg

We went back to our room and took showers and maybe a nap. We were still tired from the day before! On the way to the bus we took a few more hotel pictures.

We got a bus to the Magic Kingdom around 3pm.

I love everything about the Magic Kingdom. It is my very favorite place on earth.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3502/3272846281_4c23e43109.jpg

We did alot of shopping up and down Main Street. It was so relaxing to meander in and out of the shops. We shipped alot of items home instead of worrying about stuffing them into our already over packed luggage!

I love this picture so much!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3507/3273670152_68eed05a94.jpg

We had reservations for Tony's Town Square again. Pete can not get enough Calamari. Our reservations were for 4:30 or 5pm. Right when Tony's opened. When we were waiting for them to call our name we did a little pin trading. I love these Pins so much! When we were trading with the guy at the front counter he told Pete he had a phone call for him.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3365/3273676908_d71dca497d.jpg

When Pete got on the Phone it was Mickey and Minnie congratulating him on getting married! So cute. I got to listen next.

We had a wonderful dinner and everyone congrtulated us with a napkin twirl! Our table was all decorated here too! I don't know what I am going to do with out all the special touches when we go in October/November!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3494/3272863593_e74b54a6d1.jpg

After dinner it was almost time for the party to start so we got our party bracelets and posed for pictures in front of the castle.

The first showing of Twas the Night before Christmas was at 7pm. We got to the theatre around 6 to get good seats. It was already half full! The show was really cute! I enjoyed it so much. I called Miss Joyce (my Step Mom) to thank her for buying us the tickets to the party as a shower gift. I loved how empty the park was.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3419/3272873457_b62bb1b5ba.jpg

We went and rode Pirates of the Caribbean. We got a boat all to ourselves. It was our "Honeymoon Cruise".

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3526/3273725306_2ea73d411a.jpg

We walked around and enjoyed being in the park with each other. It was so peaceful and a great way to end a great trip!

We headed to the Tommorrowland Noodle Station and got a great seat right near the railing. I had pictures to take! The fireworks was amazing. Not as good as Wishes, but they were outstanding!

After the fireworks we went in a few more stores and walked around some more before grabbing a few hotdogs at Casey's.

We sat and watched some ducks play as we ate and talked about how unforgetable our vacation had been!

We headed to main street to get a spot for the 2nd parade. It was cute, but I think I like the electrical parade better in the dark. I think this would have been a great afternoon parade though.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3456/3273776374_55676724d5.jpg

We had a few snack credits left so we went to the Candy store to get a few things to take home with us. Pete tried on a grooms top hat that didn't come close to fitting his big head! LOL

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3516/3272954705_766fa17902.jpg

Then we went to the Bakery and Pete got the biggest Ice Cream Sandwich ever! I got a Tea. We sat in the bakery and ate and talked more. This was so relaxing.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3316/3273778526_1fdcd1f96c.jpg

We took a few more photopass pictures with the castle.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3315/3272817011_3076765fa7.jpg

Then got seats for the Castle show! This was a great show.

By now it was close to midnight, so I set up the tripod and took some great Castle pictures before we headed out of the park for the last time for about a year!

We woke up today super sad. We were leaving today! I let Pete sleep in and I started packing. I watched TV, had to get my last fill of Stacey and the countdown. I got everything packed and repacked. I showered and then woke Pete up. While he showered I sat on the balcony and just thought long and hard about the trip, about how super wonderful it was!

We took our luggage down to the front to check in for the airport. On bag was just at 50 pounds and I know there was an oversized one, but thankfully we didn't get charged.

We headed to Boma for our last breakfast! It was just as good as the day before. I didn't take any pictures this day. I just didn't feel like it. I was sad we were leaving.

We went to check in for the Magical Express around 12:30pm. Our bus wasn't coming until 1pm so I napped on the sofas in the lobby. LOL

When the Magical Express came we got on and sat in the front. Then these horrible ladies jumped on and were so nasty then they realized we were going to the airport and not the Magic Kingdom. I think it would have been so funny for them to show up at the airport. LOL

Once we got to the airport we headed for our gate and started waiting. We were 2.5 hours early. So we waited and waited.

We finally got on the plane and headed home. My Sister met us at the airport and she had decorated our car with Just Married wedding clings. We went home and dropped Pete and my niece off, we said hi to Pete's parents and then My Sister and I headed to the hospital. My Grandfather was having Open Heart Surgery the next day. We sat and talked to him, I gave him a Wedding Picture and I was so happy to go see him.

After the hospital I got home and climbed into my own bed and went fast asleep! I was so happy to be in my own bed!

The next day my Grandfather had his surgery and he is all well now!

So we were totally out of our minds and had an at home reception just 4 days after returning from our 12 day wedding trip!!!

Nuts right? Well we needed (wanted) to have the reception while Pete's parents were still visiting.

When we decided to have an at home reception we tossed around alot of Ideas. We wanted a party that we didn't have to cook or clean up. We wanted to enjoy ourselves. I shopped around and found the best location that we could afford. We paid for the reception (and alot of the wedding ourselves).

I prepared alot of things for the reception before our trip and then ran around and did last minute things once we were home from Disney.

This was the table decor. The reception site did not use enough crystals or enough lime slices....but whatever!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3629/3319162885_2812a16d5e.jpg

This is our Guest Book Table. I borrowed the idea from Lynn. We got our guest book from the Guest Book Store. I loved it and alot of guest really liked it too.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3547/3319989384_5572a3bf6b.jpg

This is our Cake. We bought it from a lady who doesn't really do cakes per se, but made my awesome awesome awesome Shower Cake. She made the cake and I decorated it with the flowers that I got at the market the day before the reception. We re used our Mickey and Minnie Cake Topper and used the knife set that was Pete's Parent's.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3614/3319991560_907fefd5ed.jpg

Ok now onto the recap.

I woke up and started getting ready. I was so excited. THEN Pete's friend showed up at our house at 10am!!!!! Oh I was mad. I mean we already had four adult that needed to get ready and now his friend and his 2 kids were there. Pete knew I was angry. So I got ready and then Pete and I went to pick up the cake and headed to the reception hall. Pete dropped me off and I went into the Bridal Suite and hung up my dress and then went to supervise the set up! I got them to fix some things, but didn't notice the limes and crystals until it was too late.

The DJ got there early. so I was there to go over a few things with him. Then my Aunt and cousins showed up and Laura, Brandon and Alyssa. I was happy to see my sister. She helped me into my dress and we started the debate. DO I wear the sleeves or do I wear the veil. I couldn't wear both it didn't look right. I went with the sleeves since it was chilly! When I was done getting ready I went out to the hall and Pete and his parents were there. I was glad Pete was there as our guests started to arrive. We invited over 200 people and had about 150 people! There were over 20 no shows....which made me mad since we paid per head!!!! I knew I should have fudged the numbers some!

We stood near the door and greeted our guests.

I was also glad my Great Grandmother came. She is my Dad's Grandmother and is 90 years old.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3560/3319187707_8e255b680c.jpg

We sat down and they started calling tables to go into the food room. I liked that the hordorves were set up in the main room but the real food was set up in a separate room. We had Roast Beef, Ham, Bake Ziti, Green Beans, Mixed Veggies, Two types of Potatoes, rolls and condiments. We starters we had Meatballs, Cheese and Fruit and Salad.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3657/3319990518_1432735d17.jpg

After dinner Laura and Edwin gave their speeches. They were so great! We were touched that people cared about us so much to say the awesome things they had to say.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3609/3320000726_0497ae11d5.jpg

After the speeches Pete and I had a second 1st dance. It was nice! Then I danced with my Daddy and Pete danced with his mom.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3582/3319178221_5078f5dd7d.jpg

I walked around and visited with alot of our guests. I don't really know what Pete did. LOL There were so many people.

This is me and my bridesmaids. Shannon couldn't make it, but the other three were there wearing their dresses!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3637/3320124364_c71a846b51.jpg

Here is me and my Grandmother. She has Alzheimer's and didn't know where she was, but I love this picture and I am so glad she was there with me.

This is Ryleah, my sweet flower girl and I showing off our princess poses.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3600/3320126914_4de5e791e0.jpg

Now it was cake cutting time! We didn't smash cake on the cruise because I had to wear my dress two more times. This is the last time so we had at it. Now the photographer missed the smash...ugh...but we got some great pictures.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3569/3320081858_2aa3f946a5.jpg

This picture makes me ANGRY! I spent a long time making my crystals perfectly random. THEN one of the kids thought it would be cute to ruin them! EverytimeI see these pictures I get mad inside! I couldn't fix them because the kid and his dad were there and I didn't want to hurt anyone's feeling.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3612/3320060870_27cfd123a0.jpg

This is my Best Friend Nikki. We have been best friends since we were 8 years old. 22 years. I could not have gotten through this wedding with out her!

Chicken Dance

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3585/3319291263_68dc309a4c.jpg

Now some people don't like the Chicken Dance or line dances. BUT the crowds do. They get people up moving and people like doing them. I think it is almost selfish of brides to leave out the fun!

I got to spend some time with my friends. My friend Tony (on the left) and I have been friends for 20 years, Bob (on the right) and I have been friends for about 10 years and Nikki and Crystal are my forever girl friends. WE go way way back. We have lived together and been there for each other through everything. I love this group photo! The only thing that makes me sad is that I left some of our old group of friends off the guest list. I would have loved to have had them all there!!!

I am not sure what Pete and his guys are doing!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3600/3319306237_2425c884ee.jpg

My Dad changed into his Tux half way through the night. LOL he is a nut! I am sure you alreamember the Mickey shaved into his head for the wedding...LOL

Here is me and my sweet niece before she fell asleep!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3553/3319197251_cde83c6811.jpg

Then it was time for the Last Dance of the night. We had picked "When You Wish Upon a Star". As soon as it started Ryleah Scream "Disney Song" and ran up to dance with Pete and I. Her Mom kept trying to call her away. To give us a chance for our last dance. I shooed Nikki away. Ryleah loves all things "Dis-a-ney" as much as Pete and I. I wanted her to be part of the dance!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3593/3319246523_621fda9edb.jpg

Then we went out to leave and my sister, my brother in law and friends had decorated our car!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3598/3319324477_ae7f8024f0.jpg

It was a great day. I was glad we got to see so many friends and family, BUT I wish we would have skipped the party. I know I know....But it was alot of work and I was tired and had to go back to work.

I had wanted lots of candids and photojournalistic pictures.......Our photographer didn't get that! LOL Oh well, the day was fun and that is what matters!

Your at home reception looked lovely! Your whole wedding experience seems amazing. I agree with the chicken dance, etc. I'm requesting the chicken dance particularly, because my daughter loves it! I'm also requesting the Cupid Shuffle, I know it's cheesy, but it's what my friends and I do best!!!

Back to YOU! You looked beautiful at your reception also. Everything from your cruise to your reception seemed special and I know they are memories you will cherish forever!!!

It looks like everyone had a lot of fun at your reception, so in the end you're right that's all that matters. Ours was 3 months after the wedding and I was still tired, so I can't imagine just being home 4 days  I love that your bridal party wore their outfits again. Two of my bridesmaids were out of state and the other two in MI were pregnant and didn't fit into theirs anymore by the time of our party  The shots with both grandmas are so sweet. I loved when I saw your great-grandma is only 90 because my regular grandma is 86 since I am the baby of the family.

I like that you were able to wear the sleeves on your dress for something different. It is kind of strange doing the cake and dance again isn't it? I know we laughed about it at our reception. Thanks for sharing all your pictures!

Your home reception looks like lots of fun - but your MK and epcot pictures are AMAZING. You really really lucked out with your photographer. My favorite is the one in the BBB boutique with the mirror - its so different from everyone elses pictures.

I just found your TR, and I'm already hooked. I will have to read the whole thing when I get a spare moment. But in the mean time, I wanted to say I loved the proposal and that ring is so beautiful. And, I do have one question, since I haven't been able to read the whole report yet, you might have already mentioned this, or I might have over looked it since I am reading the TR with a 3 year old running around. But anyway, sorry if I missed you saying anything about this...but here is my question. Is the cost of the cruise wedding, which I saw starts at like 3,300...does that include your stateroom for you and your husband. The reason why I'm asking is for my future sil and also for myself, in case my DH and I want to re-new our vows in the future.

Thanks so much.

I am new to DIS but the reason I am here is to get some wedding planning insight and I must say your PJ was amazing! It has been very fun to read through as well as helpful and informative.

First, I have to tell you how much I love your ring! Of course it's a Mickey, any of us could see it plain as day. How special. You had mentioned that there is a jeweler that specializes in Disney? Do you possibly have any names, links, websites by chance?

I also loved how your DF (at the time) proposed to you. It was such a unique and creative thing to do, and it was special to your relationship and well planned. He seems like a true prince, romantic all the way!:lovestruc If you have any info I would love it!! So glad things went amazing!! Congrats!!

Hi Lisa!
I originally starting out just looking for more info on DCL weddings; there's tons for a WDW wedding but I haven't found much on the DCL ones (I was looking for more personal stories of them, not just how to book one) and I ran across your TR/PJ. Which i am so incredibly grateful, I spent allllll day reading it (I kid u not!) all the details made me feel like i was there!

But, your wedding is pretty close to exactly what I want, so i was wondering how much the total cost of the DCL wedding/WDW honeymoon was?
and one more, did you pay for the cost of your wedding parties cruise also? Me and my sister are having a debate about it but of course she's the maid of honor, so who wouldn't want a free cruise? LOL
If you don't want to answer money questions I completely understand!

Thanks so much!

I was not able to customize the ceremony at all. I didn't meet the miniter until I saw him when I was walking up the aisle. They boat him over and he gets there a few 20 minutes before I did! I think he did a great job though. We were his first wedding! I did request to has a man minister though. I didn't want to be married by a woman. I am not sure why, but I just didn't.

We'll be having a vow renewal (10 year anniversary) on the Dream in September 2011,& having never been on a Disney cruise (our 1st Disney cruise will be this summer) I'm trying to get as much information possible from you guys. Thank you so much for such detailed reports. Hope you won't mind me shooting you a PM here and there if I have any questions:)

Hey there. I have finished the invites for my at home reception. What do you guys think?

The paper is a shimmery white, but came out kinda green in the pic above.

Our beach towel wedding favors came yesterday. I LOVE THEM.

and last but not least....my new shirt.

I got this when I was at the beach with my girlfriends. Inside the tiara was a dog and the letters B D....I got it at the Big Dog store, but I am not promoting a brand with the word BIG in it....LOL So I filled in the hearts with Glitter. So now my shirt has some Bling. :rotfl:

*sorry you answered my question in the next post! You had a beautiful wedding!

Lisa,
I was just flipping back through your PJ (I've read it before because you're one of the very few DCL brides who have information posted this in-depth--which is a godsend, btw), and I realized that I was on the cruise RIGHT BEFORE yours!

We went on the 2008 Halloween cruise on the Wonder!

*sings* It's a small world after all....
LOL :)

Dreaming about a DFTW someday and I read through your entire TR the other day! Thank you for sharing. I LOVED your MK pictures. :lovestruc

I also dropped a subtle (ok...not subtle at all) hint to my boyfriend that I want an engagement ring like yours! I don't get to go to WDW often due to distance and budget constraints, but I am obsessed! :hyper:

Fantastic! This was the first journal, nay, post I read on here as a DCL GROOM and I was convinced!

Thanks!

Hey Lisa, just wanted to wish you guy a happy 2nd anniversary (a few days late). Our 2nd is coming up in a few days also. We are planning on a 5 year anniversary cruise on the Disney Dream (hopefully). I'll have to get some info from you on this. Maybe we could finally meet for our 5th anniversary.

Hi there!

I just wanted to let you know how much I truly enjoyed reading your Wedding PJ and Report! I'm relatively new to the boards and have been stalking the wedding section like mad (I feel like a big creeper--also because I definitely do NOT have a DF to speak of, little alone a BF :lmao: ) Anyway, your wedding was beautiful and just wanted to let you know that you're beautiful and made a gorgeous bride! I hope your marriage is well and now and I also wanted to remark on how COOL it is that you're from Baltimore. I'm from Maryland as well, somewhat around the Baltimore area and it's nice to see a local on here!

Anyway, I hope your holiday planning is going well!

Sincerely,
Rose
