Tonight I finally Dyed my Crinoline. I have been putting it off...I don't know why, but I have my first Dress fitting on Thursday and I wanted it dyed to take with me. I first filled the washer with the hottest water I could and then I wet the Crinnie and it didn't fall apart so that was a good sign. I took it out of the water and put it to the side. Then I mixed the three boxes of Fuchisa Dye in a big measuring cup and added it to the wash. I turned it on to mix up some and then I added the Crinnie back in. I let it wash through two cycles (I untwisted it in the middle of the two cycles). Then I washed it with detergant two times...I wanted to make sure the dye was all out. I then untwisted it again and it is hanging to dry in the basement as we speak! I can not wait to try it on with my dress!!!! Now onto the pictures............

Wow! Lisa the crinoline looks amazing. It's going to be absolutely beautiful. I was at my nieces wedding on the weekend and I was surprised to see that her colour scheme was brown and pink too, although her new hubby was not wearing a pink tie!

The Brown is just for the Magic Kingdom/Epcot Pictures....The colors for the beach wedding are Pink and Green. I just didn't want DF to wear a green suit...LOL :lmao: He is wearing tan linen pants and a white shirt on the beach and the brown suit for the photos at WDW!

Sorry this update too so long. I have out of town guests until Sunday night. After they all left I went to my sister’s to play with my new “Toys”. I didn’t get home Sunday until late and I crashed.

Anyway!

Friday night after work I picked up Shannon, my bestest girl friend/Bridesmaid from the south, from the airport and we went to grab a bite to eat at Mimi’s Café. After eating and refueling we hit the Mall. I had to drop my wedding band off to be sized. It was a size 7 and I need a 5.5 . Next I need my engagement ring sized, but I didn’t want to be without it for the shower. I also picked up a tripod at the camera store. Shannon and I had lots of catching up to do. She lives far away and we only see each other once or twice a year. I was so glad we had Friday to spend together. When we got home around 9:30pm or so our other out of town guests were still not there yet. Shannon and I got to working making earrings and an ankle bracelet for the bridesmaids. They turned out so very pretty! I love mine so much, and the girls all loved thiers. Edwin, Kim and Julie (Pete's best man, his wife and thier 2 year old) got there around 10pm and we all stayed up way too late. Shannon went to bed around 1pm and Kim and I stayed up chatting until almost 4pm! Pete and Edwin went to the dinner for a bite to eat around 1:00pm or so. I was so excited that I wasn’t the least bit tired! I forced myself to go to sleep finally!

I woke up at 7am because it was like Christmas and I was soo very excited. I took a shower and got dressed just in time for Laura (sister/Shower Host) to drop Alyssa (my 7 month old niece) off to me. I watched her so Laura could get stuff done for the shower. I woke Shannon up and we headed out to go to the Market for a flower for my hair (Thanks for the great sugestion Mikkel) and flowers for the graveyard. It was my Mom’s Birthday and since she was not here to share it with us we thought it would be a perfect day for a shower and I wanted to go and thank her for making sure it didn’t rain! That’s right no rain, but it was hot as he11!!! LOL I forgot in my prayers to ask for it to be sunny and cool. Oh well, no rain is great!

We stopped by Dunkin Donuts so Shannon could get breakfast then we went to the post office to pick up a last minute gift from DF's sister. Alyssa was getting so tired, but she was still an angel. At the market I couldn’t decide if I wanted an Orchid or a Lily. They had Mini Orchids and Big Lilys so I got some of each. I ended up wearing the Lily.

I also picked up a birthday cake for my Grandmom and flowers for my mom’s grave.

I had a mini cry fest on the way to the graveyard. I was ok, just sad my Mom wasn’t with me for such a special day. At the graveyard I thanked my Mom for the sun and put out the pretty flowers. Alyssa fell asleep at this point.

I had gotten Nikki and Crystal candles as a little thank you gift for hosting the shower, so I stopped at Rheb’s (local handmade chocolate shop) and got Laura a small box of Chocolates. When I got home I wrote out my Thank You notes and got together all of our attendants gifts. We had decided to give them to our attendants that night instead of dragging them to Florida with us.

Alyssa was still tired so I took her up for a nap and I got ready and ironed Pete’s clothes for him too. We were all ready to walk out the door at 2:00pm. I wanted to be early to check everything out. Pete, Shannon, Alyssa and I headed to my sisters while Edwin, Kim and Julie finished getting ready.

The drive over to Laura’s was nerve wracking….I was so excited inside. Well probably outside too! We pulled up and I called my Dad to help us with all of our things. He came out and told me how pretty I looked. It made me feel real good. Then we walked into Laura’s and they showed me my cake. I was Floored! It was so awesome. I started tearing up. They also showed me the favors. It was a tiny flower pot with foam in it holding up a Chocolate Pop. There were also packs of seeds that said “Lisa’s Shower” and the date. I am not a big fan of favors, but these were amazing. All three hostesses and my Dad worked on them. Laura painted the pots, my Dad figured out the foam, Nikki made the Chocolate pops and Crystal got the seeds. Then I went into the back room and looked out at the yard. I wanted to cry it all looked so pretty! I felt so loved. Pete came up behind me and he was very impressed too. It was all so great.

The Centerpieces were awesome. Gerbrea Daisies in vases and candles tired with green and pink ribbon. Soo Pretty!

Within 5 minutes of me walking through the door the guests started arriving. headed out back to greet everyone. I also got out the camera and started taking pictures. I didn’t want to forget a thing. One of my favorite parts was my Seat! It had a Gerbera Daisy Umbrella instead of a frilly lacey wedding shower umbrella. I don’t think a shower is a shower with out an umbrella! Plus I get to keep the umbrella to use on all the rainy days.

I mingled around trying to stop and talk to each table. It was hard work. I kept thinking that I was leaving people out.

The Food spread was awesome! For appetizers there were meatballs, cheese & crackers, fruit, spinach dip, pepperoni, and a few other things. Then for the main course there was grilled pork loin and grilled jerk chicken breast with grilled pineapples, salad, pasta salad, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, mini chicken salad sandwiches on little Hawaiian sweet rolls and I am sure a few things I am forgetting. My sister had a whole food tent set up. We also had soda’s lemonade and “Adult Raspberry Lemonade”.

After appetizers it was time for me to open my gifts. I am never nervous in front of crowds, but to day I was. I was overwhelmed by everything. The first half of my gift opening I had a very serious face. I just kept thinking to my self how lucky I was that all of these people cared about me, then I would remember to smile at the bowl I just opened. It was funny when I look back on it. I took pictures of them all Sunday night at Laura’s cause I didn’t want to forget anything.

After the gifts it was time to eat the main course and I went around and thanked everyone. Nikki made me a plate because I had not eaten. I was too excited.

Saturday was my Grandmother’s 78th Birthday. She came with all of my aunts and I had a birthday cake for her. We all sang and it was so cute, she asked if it was her first birthday since we only had one candle. She has Alziemers and it is so sad. I miss her so much. She was my young fun Grandma. When I was born she is only in her 40’s and she was the Grandmother who drove and would roll around on the floor with us. Now she is a person who doesn’t know us. I remember only 5 years ago when my mom died, sitting there crying with my head in her lap as she rubbed my hair, now she doesn’t know us at all. I was happy she could be there with me though.

The cake table was set up so nice. It had bride and groom wine toppers, and the favors and plates and forks and knives. It was all so matchy and pretty! The cake was amazing. I don’t even like cake, but this was good! I loved the Icing sooo much and the cake maker wasn’t stingy with it in the least. It is funny the cake was the only Disney element of my shower, and it was one of my favorites.

After cake people started heading out. I made rounds again thanking them and saying goodbyes. Once most people had gone I sat with my Aunts and Grandmom in the basement to Visit while the clean up was going on. Pete carried all of our gifts in and we decided we would take them home this week. It was just too much.

My family all left and then it was just Pete and I and our whole wedding party! We had a few adult beverages and took some group photos and had snacks.

This is when we gave out our Attendants Gifts. I got the girls beach bags, cool hair barrettes, Earrings, Ankle bracelets, shirts that said Bridesmaid, or Maid of Honor and Mickey Earrings. I hoped they liked it all. Pete got the guys Cap Catchers, Beer buckets and Knives. Brandon, the police officer, cut himself with in a minute. LOL

The party broke up around 11:30pm or so and we all headed home. It was honestly one of the best days of my life. I am so thankful for Laura, Nikki and Crystal’s efforts to make my bridal Shower Day more then perfect!

congrat's on your shower it was so pretty!!
I understand about your Gradmother, My Mom is only 69 and she has
dementia, it makes me cry all the time. I'm very sad watching my Mom
go through this. She once stated cooking and left the pot on the stove and
went back to bed. My sister woke to smell it. and ran to take the pot off the fire! she burns popcorn all the time . She can't remember where she lives.
I just don't know what to do.:sad2: It's so very sad!:sad1:

We stayed at POP and I seen the bus come to pick the people up that was going on the Disney cruise! They looked so happy!!
We were at POP Sept. 1-10th We live in La. where the storm hit and we ran to WDW from it! We had roof damage.

Thank you! It was truly a great day. My Mom is watching over me and I see alot of her in my niece. She may only be 7 months old but sometimes her hands look just like my mom's and it makes me smile.

I understand about your Gradmother, My Mom is only 69 and she has
dementia, it makes me cry all the time. I'm very sad watching my Mom
go through this. She once stated cooking and left the pot on the stove and
went back to bed. My sister woke to smell it. and ran to take the pot off the fire! she burns popcorn all the time . She can't remember where she lives.

Your bridal shower looked amazing! I love all the decorations and the food. The Mickey cake was a great touch too. The umbrella was so pretty, I actually have never been to a shower that included an umbrella and now that I saw yours it seems like something that should always be included! It's great that you were able to spend time with all your bridal party together. Over half of our bridal party lives in a different state, so we didn't have that chance until we were all in Florida. Six short weeks from today I will be married. I am starting to freak out. I have tons of emails with Cathy, my planner yesterday. She told me that DCL will be reviewing my file by as early as Thursday and I should have all the final paper work by next week. That is exciting and scary all at the same time.

Yesterday I got the paper work for our marriage license. We must have it notarized and mailed back ASAP. Thank goodness I work in a Law Firm full of notaries.

I have made some changes to my original plans.

Cake:

We are having the bottom layer Chocolate Cake with Chocolate mouse filling and the top layer is going to be White Cake with Strawberry Mouse filling. We are also having the Chocolate and Vanilla Sauces a la Palo to go with the cake.

Flowers:

The flower drama is ready to push me over the edge. Originally I was going to have matching bouquets for the wedding and the Magic Kingdom/Epcot photo shoots. When I contacted Disney for prices I was told it would be $100 upgrade charge for the bouquet for the wedding and $350.00 for a matching one for the photo shoot! Um...last time I checked i was not rich so I had to pass on the extra one. I ordered a matching one from Vicki at Peddles. www.peddles.com She has been more then wonderful and I highly recomend her to any Florida bride. The cost including delivery through Peddles for the same flowers is $150 less! She is also giving me sparkles on the roses. I had wanted my bouquet to look like Lynn's. It was full and round. I had sent pictures of Lynn's bouquet to both Peddles and Disney as a guide.

So fast forward to yesterday. I sent an email to Cathy about the bouquet Holder, It was a faux stem holder to make sure it would be included and I was told that would be an extra $65! So that would make my floral bill be:

$100 - Upgrade Charge for extra roses and stephonotis
$65 - Bouquet Holder
$18 - White Lily (hair flower)
$18 - Hot Pink Lily (Hair Flower)
$35 - Corsage for Mother of the groom
________
$236 Total

Now this $236 does not include the $200 for the Magic Kingdom/Epcot Photos.

I was fuming! There is no way I was going to pay $65 for plastic Stems or $18 a piece for $4 lilies. No way, no how! So I cancled all additional floral through Disney. I changed my bouquet to the tropical bouquet changing out the Orange Roses for Hot Pink ones and the Burgandy Cala Lilies for White ones. I did still get the bouquet upgraded for a cost of $50! I didn't want it to look dwarfed since I am a plus size gal.

I contact Shirley at The Perfect Gift www.theperfectgift.cc She does deliveries to the ship and also came highly recomended from another DCL Bride (Hi Betsy :wave2: ). Shirley is going to deliver to me the two lilies and the Mother of the Groom Corsage the day we set sail. Disney does charge her a $12.50 delivery fee which she charges to her customers. My total through The Perfect Gift is $54.50 including delivery. For the same three items through Disney it would have been $71.00. I did tell my planner how ridiculas I thought the pricing on the floral was when I cancled.

So do you guys think that it will look funny that I will have a tropical bouquet for the wedding on the islad and them a rose bouquet for the Magic Kingdom / Epcot pictures?

I think the two bouquets won't matter. You want something that fits the setting best anyway. Plus, I myself viewed our MK pictures in a separate category from our wedding ones, so you can always think of it that way too :goodvibes

I don't think it's ridiculous you'll have 2 different bouquets. It's 2 different photo shoots, 2 diff. locations. Besides, it's more fun to have variety! And I think roses lend themselves to Walt Disney World (esp. MK) and tropical is more for the island anyway.

Once we made it to the reception place... my photog noticed my bouquet was no where to be found... while people were looking for it the limo driver called to say it was on the front seat of the limo.... I didnt care and was fine with taking the pics without flowers... but someone went and stole my MOH's bouquet... which was a totally different stlye... no big deal... no one ever notices when they look at my pics... sometimes I notice and giggle...

6 years later (this Sunday) and everything is going magically.... :cloud9:

I decided not to do welcome bags sinc e I got to pick a gift for each hroom since we are a "group". We put the money into getting good Towels Embroidered as favors.

I still need to do the programs, send out a few more invites for the Baltimore Reception, Pick up my dress (tomorrow), Pack, Iron everything we are taking with us, Return my tripod and get a new one.

I talked to the cruiseline and we should be in Tritons, the fancy Restaurant, the night of the wedding. I am not wearing my Dress, but I have a white sundress to wear and the girls are guys are going to wear their wedding outfits. I am sooo excited.

We are going to do pictures on Castaway Cay, but only for 20 mintues or so. It will give the guest time to wander back to the ship and make thier way to Palo, then we will show up - Dance - Cake Cut - Take a few pictures and let everyone get on with their beach day. I am going to get the extra hour of photography if I can take Shutters into selling me ONLY the CD and not a printed photography Package.

I went tonight with my Dad to pick up my Dress from the seamstress. The dress is perfect! I am in love! I had the train cut off and needed 4 inches on each side taken in. It was a hard job with the side zipper and the details on the side. I can not wait to wear it! I do not think I will be wearing the straps at the wedding, but I am not sure.

Well I got a few more things done tonight. I also have NOTHING new to add to the list today! YAY! The meeting with the Caterers went great! We got all of our RSVP's in too. We are having 153 people. It is going to be a great time. 20 tables! I also found out that I do not need to slice 50 limes the day before the party(party of the centerpieces), the reception hall will slice them all for me. YAY! Pete upgraded one of our beer choices, we are having Coore's Light (for my Dad) and Sam Adams (for the "real" beer drinkers). I also got them to switch out the wine for a Amaretto Sour Fountain, for free! YAY! My favorite drink in a cira 1980;s drink fountain. I can not wait. I wish I was off work the next day, but I should stop being greedy since I am off for 16 days in a row!

We also met with our photographer tonight. He was nice, but boy can he talk. I think he wants to be Bff's with us. He said like 3 times that he is the same age as Pete. LOL What can I say we are likable people. I am so glad we got a Photographer for our party. It will make things great, not to have to worry about taking 100's of pictures all day. I will be able to enjoy the party.

Wow Lisa - things look great and you are getting real close. When are you guys leaving for Florida and when do you get back. We are leaving this coming Sunday, November 2 and will be back November 17 with our wedding being Novembeer 10. It would be so great running into you down there.

Not sure when you are getting off the cruise but Saturday night, November 8th we are getting a bunch of people together to hang out at the Scat Cat Club in POFQ lobby. Yup Jennifer - it was today! Lisa had to wake up at 3am to get ready for it!

My fiance and I met Lisa and Pete yesterday night (Sunday) at the Grand Floridian for drinks (despite my fiance and I only getting a soda :) ) before they went to their dinner at Narcoossee's.

It was SO great to meet them in person, especially Lisa, since we talk often. She's JUST as sweet in person as she is on the phone and in emails! I got to see their cruise photos, which are FANTASTIC! But Lisa will tell you more about that.

I made them a surprise cake to take home (it's a "cake dummy" inside but the decorations are all fondant/gumpaste/royal icing that will all dry so they can keep the cake forever) since they didn't have any cake to take home from the cruise! The top flowers are pink gerber daisies like she had at her shower and had her bridesmaids carry at the wedding. Pete and Lisa gave us towels from their favors too! So sweet of them.

I am going to start my wedding trip report now that all of my company has headed home.

Our trip started on November 1, 2008! We woke up bright and early at 5am. I couldn't sleep anyway! I was so excited. We were leaving for Florida!!! I called Laura to make sure she was awake and she and my brother in law, Brandon and Niece Alyssa were heading to my Dad's house, the designated meeting spot. Our fight was leaving at 8:50am and we got to BWI Airport around 7:00am. The cars were loaded to the tops! It was nuts. Pete and I had 5 suitcases alone.

We checked in and the witch working the Airtran counter charged us $117 for extra baggage fees. Since we bought out tickets back in February we were allowed 2 bags each. Pete and I each had two and sent one with my Dad. BUT two of my Bags were overweight and one was over sized. Darn airlines and all of their dumb rules! We met my BFF Nikki and her family at the gate. The kids were all ready for Disney!

When we got to our gate I went to talk to the flight attendant. I needed a place to store my dress. She gladly switched us to an exit row so we could board first. I got one whole overhead for my dress. The flight was un-eventful and we got to Florida before 11am.

We got off of the plane and headed down to the first floor of the airport to catch the Magical Express bus to the Pop Century Resort. Ryleah sat in the front seat with me and we started watching the video they show on the bus and then she fell fast asleep and missed the Welcome to Disney World Sign.

As I was getting off of the Disney Bus I heard "Are you Goldeelox?" I turned around and said yes. The girl then said "I'm StitchlovesTink". We laughed and talked about the upcoming cruise. It was so neat to meet her. I met TONS of people who had followed my trip on the DisBoards. That was really fun to try to explain to my internet incompetent father. LOL

When we checked into the hotel our room was not yet ready, but my Dad's room was so we dropped our stuff off there and headed to find Pete's Parents. It had been over a year since we had saw them in person and we missed them so much. We headed to their room and when we called they told us they were up at the food court. Pete and I headed that way.

We walked into the food court and seen Pete's Dad. He video'ed us walking towards him, but he turned it off and jumped up to give us big hugs. Then Pete's mom and sister headed over from the gift shop. There were lots of hugs. We all sat down and talked about what to do. Pete and I had originally planned to head to Downtown Disney so we tossed that idea out to his parents. They thought it sounded great so we headed to the buses. It was so good to see them after so long.

We waited no more then 7 minutes or so for a bus the whole trip and this was no different. It was great. We all loaded onto the bus and were at Downtown Disney in about 15 minutes. While we were on the bus I called to see if we could get ADR's at Raglan Road. They told me that 1:00pm was the ONLY time they had available. I said ok and knew we would be 5 minutes late or so. The restaurant was EMPTY! We could have walked in anytime during the hour or 1.5 hours we were there.

Oh well....The food was amazing. We all enjoyed it totally! After we were done eating we headed out to walk around. I love the World of Disney Store. I didn't buy a single thing though, I didn't want to have to drag it onto the cruise. It was getting late so we had to head for the buses.

Once we got back to the hotel our room was ready and we got our things from Laura's room and went to our room. We discovered that our room was right in the middle of Nikki's and Crystal's rooms. My room connected with Crystal's. Dakoda and Ryleah came over to visit until it was time to get ready for our rehersal dinner.

Pete and I showered and got ready for the rehearsal dinner. We all met at the front of the hotel and got taxis to the Polynesian Hotel. This hotel is so pretty! Jason, my friend Mikkel's fiance delivered Pete's Groom's Cake, but the restaurant wouldn't take it into the kitchen to be served since they didn't make it. I gave it to Pete while we were waiting for our table. Our reservations were for 8:30pm, but we did not get our seats until 9:15pm or so. We could see the Wishes fireworks from our table, it was great!

The food here was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed it. The serve all this meat off of skewers. We had Steak, Turkey, Shrimp and Pork along with noodles, the best salad ever, veggies and wontons. I didn't take any pictures, I was too excited. We took our gifts bags for the kids and for our parents and they loved them. Ryleah LOVED taking pictures with her camera! We gave my Dad a pocket knife, a Raven's Flask (to fill for on the ship), a Beach bag, a Father of the Bride hat and a Hankie from me that said "Daddy, Today a Bride, Tomorrow a Wife, Always your Little Girl, November 4, 2008, Love Lisa". We gave Pete's Dad a Father of the Groom hat, a Pocket Watch and a stuffed animal. His Mom got a locket and necklace, a Hankie for me, a Stuffed animal and they got a Beach Bag to share. We also gave his mom and sister Mother and Sister of the Groom shirts.

Pete cut his HUGE cake and we passed it around. It was so yummy. Everyone loved it! Mikkel out did herself. She is such a great friend. She also got us all Magical Gathering buttons and sent them along with a fabulous card via Jason, since she was in NY for a wedding. We got to meet up later during the honeymoon so that was great!

After cake and Banana Bread pudding we were all so tired. I almost died when I saw the bill...LOL....Nah it wasnt so bad, like $750.

We got taxis back to the Pop Century Resort and crashed for the night. Well most of us crashed. Pete and Nikki's husband Jason took a walk around the resort to help get their food to digest. It was soo much food! I fell asleep sooo fast, it was a long long day!

Amy Anderson was our Photographer. She was awesome. She set up each shot then went and moved Trashcans and stuff so nothing was in the shot. She had some great Ideas, We were both sooo happy with our pictures......

I woke up early as heck this morning. See we set the clocks back last night before we went to sleep, well we should have! I woke up and started packing and Pete rolled over and asked me what time it was...I told him a few minutes after 7....Nope a few minutes after 6! LOL So I got back in bed, but I was wide awake. It was cruise day! EKKK! So Pete said lets head up for some breakfast. We were like the 9th people at the food court. We got our breakfast and we got coffee for Pete's parents and took it to them. I headed back to our room to finish packing and Pete went to get a luggage cart to help get his parent's bags and stuff.

I stopped by my Sister's room to say good morning to my favorite baby! We hung out a few minutes, but I still had lots of packing to do. Dakoda came over and helped me pack, or watched Little Einstein's....whatever! Crystal made him go get some breakfast and I had just about everything packed and was finishing last minute stuff when Ryleah came and hung out with me. I swear I love these kids. I totally loved being surrounded by them all during this trip. I can not imagine this trip with out the kids, without my friends, without my family. SO wonderful! We were all checked out by 9:00am and the vans were already out front. YAY!

I walked over and they had my name on a sign in the window. They were ours! We loaded up and hit the road. We were all excited. We stopped at a liquorstore since Disney lets you BYOB. We were so early the liquor part of the store wasn't opened yet. Oh well, some people got a few 6 packs and we will be in the Bahamas tomorrow. I got a text from Kim, and she, Edwin & Julie had landed and were boarding the Magical Express. Yay all of my favorite people were in Florida!

We got dropped off outside the terminal and flashed our passports and were on our way. We walked in and breezed through security. We headed up the escalator and made our way to the check in desk! Since about 1/2 of us had cruised before we headed to the Castaway Club desk. Disney assigns numbers and then calls them for boarding. Since we are getting married they saved us a No. 2, we were told our whole group could board with us...it was like 20 of us there at this point. After a quick picture with first mate Goofy our number was called and we headed onto the ship!

We had receiveda card at check that told us to meet with our wedding coordinator, Lars at 3:00pm at Guest Services, but we had 3.5 hours or so until then. I gave my dress to Guest Services for steaming and took care of a small onboard credit issue my Dad had and them we headed to Parrot Cay for a Welcome Buffet. Little did we know half of our group had went up to Beach Blanket Buffet instead of Parrot Cay. So we were split up. Lunch was great and then the waitress comes and says "do you have room at your table for this family?" I was thinking NOOO! LOL I looked over and it was Kim, Julie and Edwin. Yay, of course there is room! We all enjoyed lunch, but were starting to get tired. Our rooms should have been ready at 1pm and it was 12:45pm now so we all headed to our rooms.

We had all kinds of goodies in our room. We got lots of gifts for being past cruisers and a gift for being part of a group. Half of our group had inside cabins and half of us had Balcony rooms. We were all on the same floor and all right in a row. It was great. Now we had a Balcony, but only because it was our wedding. I have cruised many times in both inside and outside cabins, it doesn't matter what kinda room you have there is so much to do on the ship you are a fool if you spend anytime at all in your room. We only slept there!

A few of our bags had arrived, but not all. No big deal. We went to explore the ship. We walked along Route 66 and ended in Diversions....Who did we run into, but Jon and Hale. My friend Shannon's husband and father. It was nice to say hi and talk to them for a while.

Soon it was 3pm and we headed to Guest Services to meet Lars. Now what we didn't make public knowledge was that our civil ceremony was going to take place today before we left Florida. We didn't want to take away from our real wedding so we only told Laura and Brandon, the Maid of Honor and Best Man. We didn't want some strangers signing out marriage license, we wanted our best people! Laura tool pictures and we all teared up! It was official we were Mr. & Mrs. Reese, but shhhhhh, we aren't telling.

Laura had planned for the four of us to go for a celebratory drink, but we had to meet with Lars. Laura and Edwin headed to the bar and Pete and I went to another bar to sit quietly to talk to Lars. I gave him the programs, the CD's and the order of how things were to be done. We chatted a few minutes and then it hit me......I left all of Pete's shoes in Maryland! His sandals for the wedding, his shoes for the Magic Kingdom Photos. ALL OF THEM!!!!! It was horrible, I started crying right away. I cried all the way back to our room, I cried in our room, Pete got Laura and she tried to calm me down, but it was hard. All my planning, all my work and I forgot Pete's shoes!!!!!!!! Pete went to help his parents get up to the muster drill. They are older and have some mobility issues so we didn't want them to have to wait long for an elevator. I stayed in the room and tried to stop crying. It was awful! (Now that it is over, it wasn't that big of a deal and it was the only snag in the whole 12 days). The kids were all excited for the life boat drill.

We were all lined up in our lifevest and Shannon saw that I had been crying. I was trying to tell her way, but she was like 3 groups of people down from me. Finally the lady leading the drill let her come hug me. She offered up Jon's shoes, which Pete did wear for our Palo brunch. I calmed down and realized it was ok. Laura said she would ship the shoes to us for the Magic Kingdom Pictures and Pete could wear his flip flops for the beach wedding, all would be fine.

I headed to Shutters where I talked to the manager to try to purchase just the CD of pictures....I even made him call corporate. I also requested a very experienced photographer...UGH, more on that later!

It was time to Part-ty! It was time for the sail away party. We all went to our rooms to return our life vest and then headed to the deck. It was great...I love that the horn plays the first few notes of "When You WIsh Upon A Star"....Magical! The kids danced, I took pictures and we all had a good time. Once I got back to the room I was thirsty and Pete wanted a snack so we called room service. We got an All Hands on Deck cheese try and a hot dog. Love the 24 hour room service.

We had late dinner and early show, which ment we had to go get ready for the nights activities. Most of us made it to the show. It was so great. I loved it. The Golden Micky's. It was an awards show, like the Golden Globes. The kids loved it, I loved it. It was fun! Disney is so great, after the show there is about 45 minutes until dinner. This gave Crystal, Kim and Nikki time to take the kids to the clubs. There also a short game show or something during this in between time. I went back to the room and changed I think, then it was dinner time.

We had dinner this first night at Parrot Cay. OMG I had the best steak. It was so good. We all enjoyed dinner and only Michele and Jason and Crystal's mom were a bit sea sick. They all applied their sea sick patches and were fine from there on out. All of our tables were close to one another so during dinner Pete and I mingled around. The whole point in the cruise wedding was to spend time with our guest. We didn't get to spend as much time as we would have liked, but we spent way more time then we would have gotten to if our wedding was here.

After dinner there was a "Dating Game" type show that Pete and I wanted to get picked for so we headed to Wave Bands to see what was up. We didn't get picked, but Michele, Steven, my Dad, Pete and I enjoyed ourselves. After the game show Michele and Steven went to bed and Pete, my Dad and I checked out the score of "the Game" in the sports bar before heading back to our rooms. It turned out to be 70's night so we stopped and watched a bit of the disco show too.

It was a LONG LONG EXCITING day, and now it was time for SLEEP! We all headed to our cabins. I think Pete may have went to sit on deck with Edwin, but I am not sure. I was asleep as soon as my head it the pillow!

Nope, Rufaro's contract was up, she was on "break". We had Lars and he sucked, 100 gay men on the ship and we get the one straight guy/wedding cordinator! I mean seriously how can a straight guy be in charge of weddings? He was not organized, he was not even overly nice.

I plan on writing Disney. I also plan on writing a review of my "vendors" at the end.

Today was our first full day of our cruise. We were all excited, but me the most! Tomorrow was my wedding day! EKKK! I was up at 6am (again...see a trend here). I just could not sleep. Our bed was soo comfy, but I had the whole day ahead of me! We were visiting Nassau, The Bahamas today! I head sweet Alyssa "talking" next door and went out on the balcony to visit her. They were all up and getting ready for thier day too! Alyssa came to our room to visit me and Uncle Petey while Laura got dressed. Have I mentioned how much I love this baby?

Pete went to his parents room to see if they wanted to join us for breakfast. I headed to the buffet with Alyssa, Laura, Brandon, my Dad, Miss Joyce and Timmy. We tried to hold a table but for some reason Pete's dad went on the other side of the restaurant. I ate with my family and Pete was torn so he went and ate with his family. I don't really understand all of what was going on, but oh well!

Breakfast was good until one of the workers spilled bleach on my extremely fair skinned (red headed) niece! Laura took Alyssa up to bathe her and I headed to the lobby. I knew it was the princess meet & greet and my favorite little flower girl was dying to meet her "Best Friend" Cinderella. Well I was two seconds too late and she had already met Cinderella. She now was meeting Snow White. Well she was telling Snow White all about meeting Cinderella, then she moved on to Belle, again Bell heard all about the greatness of the "Boss of the Princesses", Cinderella. We then headed upstairs where Alice (from Wonderland of course) and Captain Hook and Wendy were waiting for visitors.

She told Alice how Cinderella was her favorite and she met her. Alice not missing a beat told Ryleah she looked just like Cinderella and asked if she could get her picture taken with "Cinderella". Ryleah smiled and posed for a quick picture before moving on to meet Captain hook. She wasn't scared at all. I think Disney puts Wendy out with him as a buffer. I hugged and kissed my favorite princess and told her I would see her later.

I went down to deck two forward (not aft as we had been told by a waiter in the buffet) to wait for Pete and his parents. Who is waiting right there to also get off but my good friend Michele and her husband. We sat and talked until the opened the gangway up.

Right before they opened the gangway up Pete and his parents showed up. We got off the ship early, like 9:15am. We had to meet our tour guide at 10am. We decided I would go ahead and meet her and then Pete would walk with his parents and sister. I told him I would be at the fountain across from the buildings. I didn't know what fountain or where it was located. They were the instructions from the tour guide so I passed them on. When I got to the fountain who was right there but Michele and Steven again.

We talked some more while I waited for Pete and his family. I saw our tour guide and I told her that Pete's parents were older and couldn't walk all that well and she agreed to come tot he gate to get them. Well right after that I saw Pete and he was upset. He couldn't find me (I was at the fountain like I said). I think he was really upset because the walk from the cruise ship to the tour was hard on his parents and sister. They have been living in Arizona for 2 years and the humidity, along with mobility problems and his dad's COPD really took a toll on them. Once we all got in the van I was concerned for his dad who was having a difficult time breathing so I asked to tour guide to stop at a store and I ran in to get us some water. After sitting in the AC a bit and having something to drink his parents started feeling better.

I at this time decided to cut a bunch of stuff from our tour. It was just too much for them. I didn't realize it when we booked the tour. I just knew Pete's family wanted to do "something" in the Bahamas and I thought the guided tour would be the best. I didn't even think about the walk from the ship to the town. Anyway....We ended up driving to most of the locations on my list, but not really getting out. We went to Fort Fin Castle, The Queens Staircase, Fort Charlotte, Gray Cliff, a seafood place (Pete's dad wanted Conch) and a little driving tour. Our tour guide was chocked full of information. Graycliff is a Cigar place, well a upscale resurant and it has a humidor and a bunch of Cubans rolling (legal) cigars. Pete got cigars for all the guys on the trip and they enjoyed them (yuk!) later on the top deck! It was so cool to see them rolling the cigars.

In the Cigar bar there is a smoking room full of chairs and all. The whole place smelled so bad I almost got sick. In the Cigar lounge area there was a HIGHCHAIR! Ugh! It was nuts. I also saw a foreign child removing her (oh I know for sure it was a girl) diaper and her parents didn't seem to care.

After our tour Pete's sister wanted to shop around and I wanted back on the ship. I was pretty miserable, I was hot and I was disappointed that the tour turned out the way it did. I felt bad for Pete's parents, they looked beat and needed a rest so bad. We had the tour guide try to get us a cart to take them to the ship, but the best we could do was the little shuttle that we had to wait a while for.

Pete helped his parents to their room and I went back to ours. We were greeted with a plate of cookies...everyday we got some little surprise in our room. It was so nice. We changed and headed to Tritons for some real lunch. The Conch was not to great and we were hungry. Tritons is a fancy place and the place we were having dinner that night. We spilt a burger and some mushroom risotto. YUM! I also ran into Karen and Kayla...They were friends from the Disboards and were also holding a "meet in the Sweet" later on the cruise since they had an awesome suite on the ship.

After lunch we walked around the empty ship some. I was so wishing we had just spent the day on board enjoying all the greatness the ship has to offer. We got near the adult pool and bumbed into my BFF'sNikki & Crystal who were hanging out with their family. It was so nice. I talked to Pete and we decided to go put on our swim suits and join them. We headed down to change.

Once in our room Pete needed a nap. So I changed, lotion-ed up and hit the deck with the girls. It was great. The kids were al enjoying a day in the kids club and us adults had drinks and lounged. We were joined by Laura and Michele and it was a fun afternoon. I kept watching for Pete to join us, but he didn't. Guess he was sleeping good.

Crystal got a page from the kids club and Dakoda was done hunting huffalumps and was ready to go. Nikki went with her and they got the kids and I have no idea what they did next. Michele, Laura and I hung out for a while. I needed to get ready for dinner so I said goodby and stopped by the bar and sent Laura a drink. The waiter took it over to her and she was almost asleep in the pool and he startled her. She got out and ran over to thank me. I headed down to our floor and there was Pete at the elevators all dressed in his swim suit (That I left on board the ship). I changed my mind and headed back to the pool. Laura was still waiting there so we all got in the pool, then the hot tub! It was the best afternoon.

It was formal night at dinner so we all got dressed up and had a great dinner in Tritons. After dinner the guys were heading to the deck to smoke and the girls were going to go to a club, but I was tired.

I don't think I have mentioned my father shaving Mickey into the back of his head! I was sooo angry when I saw it, but part of my anger was I was putting my Mom's picture into the locket I was attaching to my bouquet and I was missing her when my Dad walked in and showed off his handy work!. So anyways this night he blackened the shaved part in. I swear he is 12 years old some times, and not the cool ready for highschool 12 year old, but the nerdy I am in middle school 12 year old! My sister is 12 sometimes too.

So after dinner I sat and enjoyed desert with Shannon and her hubby and parents before heading to bed. The waiter made Shannon Mickey ears to match mine!

It was so exciting I was getting married in the morning. Nikki, Crystal, Laura and Ms. Linda, Crystal's mom came into my room to wish me good luck! After our short visit I was asleep, sound asleep until, yup you guessed it 6am!

It's my Wedding Day, It's my Wedding day! That is what I thought as soon as my eyes opened at 5:30am on November 4, 2008! I was so excited. I snuggle dup against Pete and gave him a kiss and told him to get out! LOL I needed to get ready! He gets out of bed and pulls out a wrapped box for me! Now I had left him an anniversary card last night because Nov. 3 was our 4 year anniversary! But a present...ekk!

So I open my gift (note the lack of makeup)! I was floored! Inside was a pair of Diamond Earrings...and a diamond necklace. OMG...They were so perfect and pretty! I fell in love with them. I was having necklace dilemmas. I didn't know what one I wanted to wear, I brought like three with me! As soon as I laid eyes on that new one I was set, that was the necklace I was wearing!

Then the knocking started. Brandon, the best brother in law in the world went to get me breakfast. I sat and ate and was calm. I wasn't nervous. I was really excited. I couldn't wait for Pete to see me in my dress.

Laura zipped me up in my dress and I was a bride, well except I needed flowers (and ice since she zipped up my side in with the dress!). Lars, the wedding coordinator arrived with my bouquet, the flowers for the dad's and Pete, and the corsages for Pete's mom and my Dad's Girlfriend. We were set!

I got a little teary eyed as I was adding my locket with my Mom's picture on it to my flowers! I miss her so much and I am so sad she couldn't sahre this day with me. I don't understand how anyone would want to get married with out their mom's or dad's there. I was lucky though I had lots of family and friends with me.

Michele stopped by to say hi, and to lend her shoes to Nikki who didn't get white flip flops in time, before they went away for the season! Michele also made me an awesome sign for my door. So thoughtful! She scooted out cause everyone needed to meet in the lobby except for my dad and I.

What a great gift from Pete, how thoughtful :cloud9: The locket with your mom made me cry. My grandma passed away several years before my mom got married and she has always talked about how hard it was not to have her there that day.

So where did I leave off.....ahh so my Dad and I got to the ceremony site. I could see Pete, but Nikki had the driver stop back so he could not see me. My sister ran over and gave me a hug and a kiss and we all lined up. Nikki said to my Flower Girl (her daughter) "Doesn't Lisa look like Cinderella?" With out missing a beat Ryleah loked at me and said "You have Cinderella's dress on, but you don't have a Cinderella face!" I lost it laughing...she is too funny!

The girls all walked down the aisle to When you Wish upon a Star. It was so cute the flower girl and ring bearer walked along and picked up shells. I love those kids! I then heard the music change to the wedding march and I got butterflies in my belly! Pete was standing there and I walked towards him and didn't see another person on the whole island.

My dad started crying when he handed me away and I choked up and told him to stop or I will cry and ruin my face. LOL Pete looked at me and told me how beautiful I looked, then he said he was so glad he didn't peak at the dress and that it was worth the wait to see it! AWE!

We turned towards the minister and the ceremony started. I was in such a mode or excitement I forget half of what he said. Thankfully my friend Shannon's Dad thought to get a copy of the ceremony...hopefully he will scan it and send it to me soon! I was worried about not having a religious ceremony, I am Catholic and wanted God to be part of it. Well the ceremony was perfect!

When he said you may kiss the bride I was soooo excited! I was a wife! It was exactly how I wanted it. I was lucky to have Steven (my friend Michele's husband) taking pictures for us and Jason (Nikki's husband) videoing the ceremony. I am going to make a big DVD of the whole day.

After all the formalities were over The Photographer took tons of great Pictures for us. He was not the best creativity wise, thankfully he took direction from me well. LOL I set up all of the shots and told him where to stand etc. You should have seen his face when I said I was laying down in the sand....You should have seen Pete's when I told him to get down there with me. We stopped at the bar for a quick drink and a few more pictures. We also stopped by some flowers, they were so pretty. I then had him stop one more time for pictures with the ship behind us. We were talking to the Pub Master who was working the boat rental and he said we had the largest party he had ever saw on Castaway Cay for a wedding. I told him to just wait for May and my friend Mikkel's wedding, she is expecting like twice the number I had!

While we were going around the island for pictures our guests were escorted to Palo for the start of our reception. We had Beach towels made as favors and I also made CD's, on the CD's were the 1st dance songs of all the married couples that joined us on the cruise!

The Piano player played this CD instead of the songs he was surprised to play, but it made everyone happy to hear their songs! Hale, Shannon's Dad said "This is my Song, my song to my baby" and got Shannon's Mom up to dance....Soo Sweet!

We entered the room to cheers and I was blown away with how very pretty it all was. I loved my cake and everything, the way it was all set up. It was the best ever!

We cut the cake. The top layer was White Cake with Strawberry Mousse filling and the bottom layer was Chocolate with Chocolate Mousse FIlling. No smashing happened (not for this cake anyway, just wait til the at home reception!), we still had pictures to take so I didn't want to get messy (I was already hot and flushed looking)!

Then we had our Toast. Laura and Edwin did great jobs! It was so sweet to hear them say so many great things about us.

After being toasted we enjoyed our first dance as husband and wife! Making Memories of Us, by Keith Urban. There is a line in the song that states "I want to Honor your Mother, I want to learn from your Pa". This touches my heart so greatly.

Then I danced with my dad and he teared up...poor guy! We were talking as we danced and we looked over at Brandon (who was tearing up while holding baby Alyssa) Alyssa and my dad said "Well I guess we don't have to do this anymore until she gets married!". We danced to "I loved her First". It was a great song and spoke right to my heart.

Laura got upset while Pete was dancing with his mom, it just wasn't fair that my Mom couldn't be there! She came over and hugged me and we cried a little together. I tried to stay strong though.....didn't want to mess up any make up! :)

The reception was pretty much over at this point. I got one last picture with Nikki and Crystal. We have pictures like this, the three of us, dating back to the 90's.....

The recepion lasted about 1.5 hours, perfect amount of time! We hugged and kissed our guests and sent them on their way. It was time to change into swim suits and hit the beach (for them anyway)! YAY!

Steven walked around with the Photographer and took a few extra shoots for us, but the Photographer took any I asked for....It was alot! I will only post a few....

After Pictures Pete and I headed for our cabin for sunblock and suits. We wanted to get to the beach with our friends. In our room waiting for us was Champagne and Chocolate Covered Strawberries and a wedding gift from the ship! It was a wonderful beach towel with a Sand Castle of Cinderella's Castle on it, along with a memory box and picture frame.

We headed off the ship to Castaway Cay via the tram. Our first stop was Cookie's BBQ for some lunch. We sat and ate with Michele, Steven and Pete's Parents and sister. I was ready to get in the water. Pete's Dad and sister didn't go down to the beach, but his Mom joined us. We had so much fun playing with the kids and relaxing. What a great great wedding day. The beach on Castaway Cay is so wonderful.

We heading back to the ship with just enough time to get ready for dinner. We skipped the show tonight. It was Pirate night. We didn't dress up like Pirates, we had way too many other things to bring and just had no room for extra outfits. Laura and Brandon, Michele and Steven, Edwin, Kim and Julie, and Jason & Ryleah all dressed up! Next cruise (in just 11 months) we will be dressing up!

One of the things I love so much about the DIsney Cruise Line is the rotational dining. You waite staff follows you to each resurant and it is so wonderful since they remember things like what you like to drink.

After Dinner was one of the highlights of the cruise, the Pirate party complete with fireworks at sea. Soon as the party started I started feeling sooo sick. I headed to our room to rest, but when I got there I didn't have my key. Since the party was going on the elevators were all jammed up. I sat down in the hall way to wait for someone I knew. Jason came by and let me into their room and went to get my husband...LOL...Pete came and helped me to bed. What a wild wedding night! I think I was just over tired. We laid together until I fell asleep and then Pete headed up to the deck with friends.

It was a great wedding day, the best I could ever ask for. I had the perfect Weather, great pictures and most of all the best husband ever!!!
