Please Say The Chicken Tenders Haven't Gone!

I thought I remember reading that a previous poster said that they no longer serve, what my famiily agreed were the best chicken tenders ever, at Plutos....can a recent cruiser fill me in....we are so looking forward to them when we cruise again!

Jobro2, are they better than the chicken tenders at "Evangelical Community Hospital"? Honestly, they are pretty good. However, DD4, and I look forward to eating many chicken tenders in only 10 days on the Magic!

Bad news, sorry!! We were on the 2-2 Magic and while I personally did not seek out any chicken, my DD's did and found only "gross" chicken nuggets at Pluto's (?) on Deck 9. They did order the fabulous tenders from room service only!! If anyone had a different experience please post!!!

Never had them at Evan...nice to talk to a "neighbor"!! Enjoy your cruise!! Let's hope Disney just had a momentary lapse of reasoning and didn't have them at Plutos for just a cruise or so and that they will return soon!!

The really yummy chicken tenders are only available in the dining rooms or room service. The things they had at Pluto's were gross! Worse than the "chicken" nuggets from McDonalds!

We loved them too! Yummy chicken tenders with Honey Mustard sauce! Do you think that I could have 'room service' deliver some to the pool area for me??

I agree, the chicken tenders :) were "Wonder"ful and "Magic"al, but they aren't being served anymore at Pluto's (on 1/17/02 Wonder). They do indeed have the gross chicken nuggets :( . Why the switch :confused: ? The tenders were really exceptional. Such a silly thing :jester: , but it really does matter. They were great! I hope they switch them back.

Okay - let's start a petition e-mail begging for those wonderful, crispy, heavenly Chicken Tenders ! When someone finds where to send it I'll gladly sign it! As stated - it's not really a big thing - there are so many other great foods on the ship - but the chicken Tenders were really awesome - and a great snack by the pool - with that honey mustard - just too yummy!

I have to say, I thought you were all nuts when I was on our cruise. We went to plutos one day and saw the chicken nuggets and I said "yuck. people rave about THESE???" we had hotdogs and fries instead, which were pretty good. Anyway, I'm glad to know you're not nuts, but not glad that we didn't get chicken tenders. BOOO to DCL on this one! Seems like a silly cost cutting measure to me! Maybe it's a space issue and those other ones take up less room. Maybe they can be used as flotation devices in the case of an emergency!

I agree that the chicken tenders were terrific and DCL should bring them back. The hot dogs at Plutos are awesome as well and I had at least one every day and can't wait to have another in only 247 days and counting.

Well, I've stated my disappointment about the tenders.
Since we have planned this 7-day cruise, we have talked
about how we would sit at the pool, everyday, and eat
those tenders. Why all these "cutbacks"?
I was hoping they would change the soda situation also
(price of soda refills) till we got there in August.

We travelled on the Magic last April and are looking forward to a return trip April 20th. One of the things my kids keep mentioning is having the absolute best chicken tender ever at Pluto's. I have heard from recent cruisers that they have been replaced with non comparable chicken nuggets. Oh my, please tell me it isn't so!! I know it may seem like a little thing to be dissappointed in during our entire cruise experience --- BUT, that is exactly what makes DCL so special in our book --- the little things.

Can we still look forward to having these wonderful chicken fingers from Pluto's during our poolside afternoons?




Let's hope that they hear our call -- and bring them back - SOON!

I have to say that when I originally posted this thread, I had no idea there were so many others who were as disappointed in the chicken tenders situation...and actually, it does sound a bit funny with our 'BBTCT Campaign", but as everyone says, Disney's special magic is what makes our cruises so remarkable...and hopefully with our e-mails, they will realize how even the chicken tenders play such a part in our cruise experience. Thanks guys..and keep sending the e-mails!!!!

I broke the news to my 10 yo DS about the chicken tenders being gone from Pluto's and his reply was "stupid, stupid company!" Interesting how a 10 yo can know but a large co. like Disney doesn't. "Wonder" what happened?? These were his very favorite pool side eats. Hope they bring them back. The new "chicken nuggets" don't sound like a good replacement.

You realize that we all now need to report back from each of our cruises on whether or not they are back. And until they come back, we need to keep on top of this issue. I'm going in October and hope that our tenacity will pay off by then! :D
