My family and I have planned a 12 day trip to Orlando this July - we arrive on July 3rd and would like everyone's opinion about what is the best park, not a Disney park, that would be best to go to on the 4th of July. Any comments or suggestions?

I've been to Islands of Adventure two July 4ths in a row and had a great time. The park wasn't too crowded and the fireworks were amazing!! They launched fireworks from all 3 lagoons simultaneously and had them themed to music from the rides!

We will also be there July 4th. Can't wait for those fireworks!! I'm glad too hear the park wasn't too crowded. I expected it to be backed, but wasn't concerned because of FOTL access.

Hello all. I'm new to this board! But not to theme parks!

Well, IOA (Islands Of Adventure. Okay, so you guys prolly know this by now... ) is VERY fun, and my favorite out of the two parks. But, USF (Universal Studios) prolly will be less crowded (but still VERY crowded). I think that they will be about equal in wait times for the rides (but hey, I'm very spoiled! I say on the JP River Adventure: "TWENTY MINUTES???? HOW LONG! I'M NOT WAITING FOR THAT!!"), but I'd bet all you guys don't care that much about wait times... ;) So, I say just go to wichever one you feel best suited!
