If I book a room with a AAA discount can I change it if I get another code?

I have ressies at the POP july 12-19 but didn't know that they offered AAA discount in the summer until I read it on Mousesavers today. I want to call and see if I can get the discount. My question is if I get a code later can I switch the ressies and use it?

You can book a "room only" reservation directly through Disney using the AAA discount, for AAA "packages", you must book through AAA.

You can change or apply codes, (You can only apply one discount) with reservations made directly through Disney, as long as rooms are available for your dates and resort.

For reservations made through AAA, all changes will need to be made through the AAA travel agent.

If I booked the room only, when do I order the tickets for the week? Do I still get all the same advantages (EMH, fastpass, DME). Is there any disadvantages to not getting tickets and room together? Thanks!

If I decide to book a AAA room only thru Disney and later want to add a package thru a AAA TA, is that easy enough to do? Are there any issues with losing the original booking - what I mean is does the AAA TA just add the package to the original room or do they have to cancel original booking and re-book to get package?

If you want the package then yes you have to cancel the first room only ressie and book a new package with a AAA agent. There really aren't any disadvantages to buying tickets seperately you still ahve all the same acess as a package.

Forgive this newbie, but I'm getting really confused regarding AAA...so, to get the AAA discount on your room, you must book room-only, but then cancel that later to add your tickets/meal plan? And there are no AAA 'package' discounts? Help! I want to book WL for Dec. '08 using the AA discount. I'd also like to put it on the Disney Visa for 6 month 0% financing. I'd really prefer to do room-only right now and take a little time to decide on the meal plan (and pay the room off with 0% interest) but I don't know if that's possible? I'm soooo confused, and I'm afraid I'm losing time...

I have also booked a AAA rate in July for POP. I only received a 10% discount not the 15% that is stated on Mousesavers. In the past I have received exactly the % discount that was noted on Mousesavers. So, I'm not sure what's up with that.

January is Disney Month at AAA. You may want to call AAA and see what they offer.
I have not booked a package through AAA, but I believe guests receive the discount on the room portion, and then get whatever AAA perks.
And keep in mind sites such as the Dis, Mousesavers, etc, are unoffical sites. Although I am sure they do the best they can list correct info.

I believe that the Disney Visa only allows 0% financing on PACKAGES. At least that's what it says in the literature we just got today. Unless someone else has gotten it on a room-only ressie.

Yesterday DH was able to book a room with a AAA discount and also tickets at the same time from Disney. It was just like getting a package except we could not use the "6 months interest free" perk with our Disney Visa. I believe this is because it isn't actually a package, the room and tickets were booked "seperately" but the tickets will be waiting for us at the resort when we arrive, on our room cards. And I have up until 5 days before arrival to cancel the package and get a complete refund.

I went ahead and booked a room at the Pop with the AAA discount. It was only 10%. It is better than nothing. I'm hoping for a better code before July!!:thumbsup2

Whew, what an agonizing decision process.... :sail: but am thrilled to have booked WL today, thru the AAA agent, and received 15% off room. Purchased the pkg with tix too so am happy to see I made the right move in order to use my Disney Rewards VISA card when the time comes.

That is a room only. But worked out great since you were able to buy the tickets too. If that is all you are wanting, and not a MYW package, it worked out well. :thumbsup2
