Jeesh I missed this, they are projecting images on it's a small world for the fireworks show! Awsome! What are you West Coasters trying to hide from me?

We were there twice last year and did see anything being projected on IASW so that must be new? I'm a BIG sucker for good fireworks!:cheer2:

Well we ARE going! :cool1: My DP and I are going to DL for the very first time. We will be there in May (08). Can't wait to see the original Disney! :yay:

My DD Disney Partner is moving to L.A. in January..January 19th to be exact (someone hold my hand and reassure me please)....anyway, I imagine I'll be seein DL at least once this year!

Wow! I've heard about the projections but I've never actually seen them. On my last visit to DLR (Nov 28), the fireworks were cancelled due to Santa Ana winds although they still did the suds... um... snow.

I may have to take a day trip to DLR so that I can see the final holiday fireworks show on Jan 7.

We are going to DL!!! the plan is november/december 08! I was about to rebook the poly for next year when hubby suggested we go to DL instead! I am so excited, we have never been to California, or the west coast at all for that matter, we are planning to stay long enough to do the disney thing then head up the coast and see some of the beautiful pacific ocean coastline! we plan to go all the way up to monterey ( i always wanted to go to that aquarium), then prob SF and fly out from there!

They've been doing the projections for about 3 years now, I think. It's every 15 minutes--they turn off the thousands of awesome and colorful Christmas lights that outline the attraction, and a little "show" (projections and animations, synchronized to music) happens. It's about 90 seconds to 2 minutes, pretty short, but very neat if you are standing in line or in front of Small World. Was able to get a Disneyland Holiday trip in last week, and saw it go off twice, once in line, and once as our boat was coming out.

P.S. If you come through Vegas for Bette, let me know--would love to meet up with some fellow Disers for a drink!
