$15 Departure Tax in Nassau?

I just finished reading the "Magical Disney Cruise Guide." It mentions a $15 departure tax in the Bahamas that must be paid in cash. Is this true? Does simply getting off the ship in Nassau mean that we will have to pay $15 each to get back on the ship? I had to pay a departure tax at the airport in Jamaica on our honeymoon, but I haven't read about this tax in Nassau anywhere else? :(

NO we have been a couple of times on dcl and did not pay the tax out of pocket... peter

On your reservation confirmation where it lists an amount for "Government Taxes and Fees," that includes any international departure taxes. No worries ;-).
