I have found a website, www.cruise-locator.com that will list approximately 8-10 specific staterooms in each category for each sailing date you check. That's how I found out that a secret porthole room was available for a January 2003 4 day sailing and so I requested it through Dreams Unlimited and got it! Yes, of course, you can book right on the cruise-locator site but who would want to deny themselves the special services of DU?
It sure would be nice if Disney's site let you select from available staterooms but it doesn't.

Thanks! The comma showed up as part of the link, so if you just click on it you'll get a file not found message. Try http://www.cruise-locator.com/

I can't seem to get this to work. After I select the date and other information, it lists my options but I cannot go any further. I click on "Check the Pricing" but nothing happens. Has this happened to anyone else?

The engine used for that is actually run/owned by CruisePath (part of CruisePro) and is licensed to various TA's websites. I believe it is just having problems right now . . maybe because of so many on this board trying to access it - LOL.
But to get to cabin availability you have to first do "Check Pricing" for whatever dates and category you pick, then do "I would like this type of cabin" and it will take you to available cabins list.
Try it again later perhaps?

If you call DCL, they can tell you what rooms are available. Maybe you could tell them what category / area of the ship you would like to be in and they can tell you open rooms.
I now have favorite room or at least small area I like. Last two reservations I made, requested certain room number and got it.

Yes, DCL can tell you what is available if you call, but it is sometimes nice not having to tie them up if you are just feeling things out and haven't made any firm decision yet. The website lets you check dates and availability on your own.

I have been trying this site all week and when I get to the point to click on "Check Pricing", I click and nothing happens. Has anyone else been able to use it?
This site sure helped me out. Since we are using DVC points on a cruise in May we couldn't call for availability until Monday. I feel much better now that I see that there are still catagory 6s available on the May 23rd cruise.
