View Full Version : sebastain inlet cove pond...beware, i'm a tree hugger

so these might bore some to tears....it only took me 6 weeksto convert my photos:rolleyes1
the cove pond, full of birds . i got as many photos of birds here as i did on the birding boat trip and merritt island wildlife refuge tour....but i'll only bore you with a few;)
checking out the competitions gear think this is a reddish egret

view toward Atlantic from the cove pond, inlet to far right( the pond is shallow, i could wade about 1/2 way out and it still not be up to my knees, it's mostly just sand at low tide)

Love this one Jan! I can't wait until my trip to FLA in February. As much as I love going to WDW, the trips to the everglades, etc. are the most fun for me. I have one day picked to just take photos in the Shark Valley area of the Everglades. We went there last year (or was it the year before) and it is LOADED with wildlife. A great place to sit and snap photos all day. I'm going to concentrate on earlier morning and later afternoon so the light is nicer than the last time I went (high noon). Your pics are getting me all psyched up for it! Thanks!

Now I'm off to go put some presents under the tree. :santa:

we only went to the everglades once and it rained so hard the campground was flooded( like pretty much every time we camp, obviously we never learn:laughing: ) so we left but i would love to try there again...

OK, I'm confused. The tree hugging...is that in lieu of using a monopod? Or does it attract the birds?
