View Full Version : Dec. 8 Magic had its ups and downs!-Update- St. Maarten pictures added!

I'm starting to work on my trip report from this cruise, which definitely had its ups and downs! I was so glad that Captain Tom was able to guarantee that the ship would stop rocking at 7 AM on Tuesday, Dec. 11! (That's when we docked at St. Maarten.)

Until I start writing, I'll post my pictures from Castaway Cay. We were there on Dec. 14, and the weather was absolutely perfect. It was our seventh visit to Castaway Cay, and I think it was the best one yet.

No, I don't. Unfortunately, the only show we saw was "Disney Dreams", and my camera isn't good enough to take pictures in the theater in the dark. It was a great cruise, though, even though it was pretty rough for a while!

Yes, I'm such a great writer that you'll actually feel like you lived each moment of the cruise right alongside me:rotfl2:! (For those of you who don't know, JoiseyMom and her DH JoiseyDad were in the room next door on the cruise.)

I know the rocking feeling...we took the 7 day Eastern back in October of 2005, and there was a tropical depression far to the south, but it caused 15-20 foot swells.

For whatever reason, I don't get motion sickness...might have something to do with my ears and 20+ operations as a kid though. TONS of people were sick...the dining room was half full the second night as we were out in deeper water. Even my poor wife was stuck in the room for half the trip.

We were standing on the top deck watching the main pool turned into a wave pool for the kids. At one point, several kids were tossed out of the pool and onto the deck. They shut the pool down after that.

Nothing you can do about the seas!!!!!
