...the stuffing's made, the parsnips have been parmesanned, the giblets are simmering (Delia's right - the smell does signal Christmas has truly started :teeth:) and I'm now relaxing with a glass of wine. All's well in the world. What about everyone else?

Presents still need wrapping - eek! We've just had tea (fish and chips). The house isn't as clean as it should be but at least the kids aren't fighting. I've just got to try and stay awake for the midnight eucharist. (maybe I'll have a nap first).
Happy Christmas everyone.

Well as ds9 threw up at 3.30am (just once thankfully) and then dd12 threw up at 4.30am and every half hour til 11am, our xmas eve hasn't gone as planned! Just had my friend from over the road in and we started on home made snowballs, she's gone now so I'm cracking open the martini - have dry, bianco, and the new rosatto to choose from! :rolleyes1
Fingers crossed the bug doesn't get me before tomorrow!!

Well I've brought the laptop into the kitchen whilst I make up a batch of my famous chocolate truffles. I've got MouseWorld Radio on, they're doing a holiday special, normal Christmas music mixed with Disney Christmas music, messages from the characters and stories by celebrities about their childhood Christmases, it's lovely. Well, it was until those darned chipmunks started up, time for a mute I think!
The house is *almost* tidy, the presents are wrapped (finished making the final ones this afternoon) and I'm off to watch the Santa Claus 2 whilst my mixture cools and sets.

Well just to update you on my kids - they were both a bit brighter as the day went on and bathed and in bed by 8.30pm - earliest ever on xmas eve!! I was in bed just after midnight - again unheard of in our house! DS woke coughing so swapped beds with DH. The down side was DD was up just after 6 but sent back til just before 7!!
They had a good day and played on the new wii for most of it, we were again all ready for bed by 10pm! We've had the wii on for best part of today, I'm loving the light saber action!!
