Not really a riddle exactly.
More like a flashback of the year in riddles like everyone else is doing for their crap.
This is prob. best viewed with a dial-up connection to give it that slo-mo effect.
And we're off...
Happy New Years Riddlers!
Send a PM when you know the right answer.
In what year did Christmas and New Year's fall in the same year?

Good morning riddlers! PM me when you know the answer to the following spoonerisms!
A spoonerism is a pair of words that can have the initial sounds switched to form new words. For example, "hurting flare" is a spoonerism for "flirting hair" (note that the pairs do not have to be spelled the same - only sound the same). From the definitions below, can you figure out the following spoonerisms?
1. A puzzle that's having an accident ... An overwhelming out of control desire to mince potato
2. A sun powered tree* ... An arctic directional aid
3. A death defying feat involving frozen rain ... An old and mouldy pursuit
(No Whining allowed!) ;)
Have a good day! :teeth:
We hearted spoonerisms. Or was that a different h word??? It's been so long, and yet it seems like only yesterday!

Get those spoons and guide maps out, folks. It's time for Disney World attraction songs! Tell me which WDW attraction each of the following songs can be heard in. PM me with your answer.
1)
Mix red and gold from autumn flowers,
Purple and blue from twilight hours.
Green summer hills and rainbows play a part.
A painter's brush, a work of art.
2)
Stop jumpin' around,
You'll run out of breath!
Why don't you sit back
And calm yourself
3)
Spirit free,
You must keep flying now.
Reaching to touch the sky,
On the winds of change.
Bonus
Say nighty-night and kiss me
Just hold me tight and tell me you’ll miss me
While I’m alone and blue as can be
Wow Craig, I am not nearly awake enough!
Gotta come and Woo Hooty on my honey's riddle :cool1: :cool1:
I went to watch the Notebook one night, told them I was going and signed off. Went in my room to watch it and there was a looonnngg promo of the Dukes of Hazards on. Turned out I was watching the dukes of hazards for 30 minutes, thats 30 minutes I will never get back

Oh, and thanks to Lou (and Donna, sort of) for the inspiration of today's riddle.

Angel and I took a short walk around the Outback restaurant. As we got close to the parking lot we saw this strange van pull in (wish I had gotten a pic of it).
Anyway, we watched it closely 'cause we DEFINITELY wanted a pic of the guy in the van.;)
Little did we know....HERES HIS SITE (http://www.vaelvis.net/index.php)

During a recent police investigation, Chief Inspector Stone was interviewing five local villains to try and identify who stole Mrs Archer's cake from the mid-summers fayre. Below is a summary of their statements:
lou: it wasn't donna
it was laura
laura: it wasn't tara
it wasn't donna
tara: it was donna
it wasn't lou
alan: it was tara
it was laura
donna: it was alan
it wasn't lou
It was well known that each suspect told exactly one lie. Can you determine who stole the cake?

Angel made this so easy to find. I love this story. And I love you too!
I am not a genius!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is today's story!
I should have my parenting license revoked! '
I leave work about 10 minutes late and REALLY need gas. Now my car is in Jersey getting serviced and I have a loaner. Its a Kia Rio, and tiny but I am used to it after a week, and it has grown on me.
Anyway, pull into the sef serve and IMMEDIATELY get surrounded by other vehicles. Trapped comes to mind Anyway, I get out armed with my trusty debit card and begin the transaction. Grab the hose and turn. Anyone want to guess what happens next? Ya got it!!! Its on the other side of the car
So this guy sees this and starts chuckling and I just smiled and aksed "instead of finding humor, lets find a solution. Shall we?" I admit I was just in a bad mood. He said "just stretch it over it'll reach". I turn to do so and somehow forgot that this would mean I am carrying the hose in front of me.
Now I am clumsy. Not just on occasion!! I am nothing if not consistent!
Back to the pump. I start to walk over and get to said gas tank and I can't open it!! Like at all, it won't budge!!!!!! Same guys said, "you know there is probably a release in the car. What did you just steal this car?"
I snap him a look and said "Yes, you got me!"
Walk back to hang up the nozzle and return to the interior of the car to search for this release button.
Lets see, I turned on the hazard lights, opened the hood of the car as well as the trunk. I also released my seat to where it was now in the lay down position and I really felt like I needed to at this point.
Well by this time the people that had surrounded me have decided this is the best free game in town and have been watching me
Said "helpfull" guy is now next to my door laughing so hard he looks like his head will pop off of his shoulders at any given second. I am laying on the seat hitting the lever over and over in a frenzy trying to get "lay down" seat back to "sit up" position.
So here I am laying down and he is laughing "Please let me help you. Please get out of the car". I told him I was not "falling for that one he might take the vehicle". (It could happen ya know)
He then said in uproarious laughter, "please honey, get out of the car".
So I get out and proceed to watch him pull a lever, and theres the "sit up" seat. He then said "watch this" and reached a whole 3 inches in front of said lever to the floor (where there was a little diagram of the gas thingie) and popped the gas open for me.
I wanted the world to stop and swallow me whole
He then asked if I knew how to even pump gas and offered to do it. I, of course, was offended!! I said "I thank you so much for all of your help, but yes, I will be fine, and I have it from here".
He is still chuckling and said, "thanks for the laughs, I had a rotten day and this was great" We smile and he leaves.
I pump the gas and now the onlookers have left (Thank God)!
I get in the car, put on the seatbelt, start the car, turn lights on and put it in drive. Start to go and this car litterally pulls right in front of me!! I jerk to a halt and same guy gets out, again laughing.
He walks over to my window and said, "just a minute of your time honey"!
He then walked to the back of the car and shut the trunk, he then walked to the front of the car and properly shuts the HOOD!!
He walks back to his vehicle laughing, jumps in and yells "thanks again"
So I finally get home, finally!!!!!
Awwwww, no-one is home!! I take off my shoes and it hits me like a punch to the face out of nowhere!!
Rebecca had her first swim team practice and I was to pick her up!! I FORGOT MY DD!
No need to compete, the award is in the bag

Normally I wouldn't be able to afford it either...but I got lucky. There is a conference/seminar going on and work is paying for most of it. The conference rates were astonishing too!
We originally were going to stay there for our wedding but ended up at BWI (and through some lucky circumstances, ended up with a deluxe concierge room).
I've been dying to go back to Disney and would have been happy to stay anywhere on site (afraid to drive down there)...but I've been very very blessed to be able to stay at the deluxes both times.

Thanks for all the hugs. I actually directed that statement to Duck. Since I wasn't quoted anywhere, I felt that I wasn't funny enough to be quoted.:snooty: (imature I know, but who cares!)
Well I didn't read every thread for the year. I was jumping all over the place. I think I'm to may, and I was gone on a few trips during that time.
And I didn't quote everyone who was funny the most or anything like that. I don't think I quoted Alan too much, but to quote him you kinda have to quote most of the riddle up to that point to get what he's saying. Just the line itself doesn't stand on it's own. I'd just end up putting the link in.
I quoted Cantw8. She's not funny. Well, funny strange, not funny ha ha.
Other ways I quoted people if you start yourself on fire, or spill something in your eye, or almost knock yourself out answering a phone and then share that with 100,000 of your closest friends, I tend to remember that.
And to kinda quote you from this thread:

Angel, the short answer is that the sum of numbers that you got by subtracting the two numbers will always be divisible by 9. So after leaving out the one that you circled (if you circle a 0 it will screw everything up tho) you add the remaining numbers until you get a single digit number. The difference between that number and 9 is the number you circled.
For example:
6543-3456 = 3087
If you circle the 8 then you are left with 307. 3+0+7 = 10. 1+0 = 1. 9-1 = 8, which is the number you circled. If you circled the 3 then 0+8+7 = 15, 1+5 = 6, 9-6 = 3. If you circled the 7 then 3+0+8 = 11, 1+1 = 2, 9-2 = 7.
Jumbling the numbers is irrelevant since you are adding them.
It really is pretty simple as long as you know what the trick is:thumbsup2

DAVID, THIS IS NOT AN ACTUAL RIDDLE. DON'T PM YOURSELF.
I'm bored, so let's do a riddle chain! One person asks a riddle, others post their guesses until someone gets it right. After that, someone else posts a new riddle.
And of course off-topic conversation and chatter is welcome and encouraged!!
Here's the first riddle:
Little miss Etticote
Wears a white petticoat
Shorter and shorter she grows;
And yet, stranger still
Her warmth you can chill

Good Morning Riddlers!
Send a PM when you know the correct answer!:)
A snail is at the bottom of a well and wants to get out. He manages to crawl up the wall 3 feet each day, but at night he must rest ( after all that work during the day ) and so he slips back down 2 feet. If the well is 30 feet deep, How long will it take him to get out? Both in at 6:51am our leaders for the day are:
Angel
