:sad1: I`m new to this, but my question is : What do you do when you`re aching to be back @ Disneyworld? I love that place, & no vacation is ever long enough. Guess I`ll have to move there!!

To this question.:confused3 We would all rather be absorbed in the DISNEY magic, than our normal work routine. That is what keeps us all coming back, hoping for that escape from reality. Just start planning your next trip and looking forward to being there again.:thumbsup2

There is only one cure. ;) Unfortunately, it is an expensive cure.
The Dis Boards are kind like my "asprin" to cover up the pain of the illness. :upsidedow :upsidedow :upsidedow

I'm with you on that. We just got back Friday night and the only thing that helps is knowing we already have reservations for May. :cool1: :cool1:

:rotfl: :thumbsup2 I feel the same way! I joined the DIS boards the day I got home from my recent WDW trip. It helped me to cope with the pain of having to leave my beloved WDW. (sniff sniff) :)
Lilo26: Welcome to the DIS boards!!!!

See this is what I'm afraid of :scared1: . After we come back, we're going to go through withdrawal. We made the decision to have our honeymoon at WDW a little over a year ago. We watched a show dedicated to Disney, I think it was like a behind the scenes look type of thing, on the Travel channel and we knew right then and then it was the place for us. We actually stopped watching all of the shows the Travel channel about Disney because we started to get tooo excited. Between these boards and my wedding planning message boards, I feel like I have an addiction. Did I mention that this is our first trip? Someone give me a shot of that Disney magic :yay:

"We watched a show dedicated to Disney, I think it was like a behind the scenes look type of thing, on the Travel channel ..."
I have it recorded. Its called Walt Disney World: Behind The Scenes. Watched it about three times now. There is another show which is hosted by Samantha Brown and that segment was called Disney Holiday Magic.
I wont be going to WDW until May of 08, but I find myself going to these boards everyday. Love the pics everyone is posting.
I dont want to get to scientific here, but Disney has a special place in the hearts of Baby Boomers. For many of us, THIS was our childhood dream vacation and now we get to re-live it.

The Holiday Magic show is the only show I can watch without DFI having a fit. :disrocks:

That sounds all too familiar...
We go down every 3-4 months so we usually make sure the next trip is booked before we go so we have it to look forward to when we get back. It doesn't completely get rid of the post-WDW blues but it helps. :thumbsup2

It's amazing how strong the let down can be. I've been to WDW seven times. The first time was back in 1985 and I was totally unprepared for how I felt the first couple of days when we returned. Even now it can still be tough. In addition to the Dis and planning another trip I find that getting involved in another project helps. I think that this April may be even harder because we'll be getting off the Wonder and going back to work. I like the philosophy that says don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
Another approach that helps is to realize how fortunate we were to be able to have the good health and financial ability to enjoy such a wonderful vacation. There are many people who can't do even one trip to Disney. Hang in there everyone and think happy thoughts!

Like others have said, start planning your next trip. Even if it means not knowing when that is. We got back on the 24th and I am already planning the next trip. Not sure when that will be, but when the time comes, I will be ready.

It's so strange how WDW does this to you. I thought something was wrong with me until I found the DIS. We leave for our next trip in 22 days, but I catch myself almost not wanting it to come because then it will be over! DS13 will start HS next year and I just don't think it will be as easy to take him out of school to go. We can't stand the summer heat unless it's at the beach, so it may be at least 4 years before we get back to the world. :sad1: I cannot express how that makes me feel! But I guess you guys know.
Its been a month since our last visit and living only an hour and a half away makes it even harder! I can't afford to go as often as I would like but these DIS boards sure help to take the sting away. I am also looking forward to putting together my scrapbook for this last Disney vacation, maybe that will help me!!!

I get the DisneyBlues BAD! I come hear and read and laugh and get support from ppl like me! LOL I'm lucky my roomates are also disneyfans (not as crazy as I) and they let me talk their ears off about things I read/learn on the disboards. I listen to old podcasts, and watch other ppls youtube vactions. I think I'm going to have a Disney Party once or twice this winter to help with the blues. I read about it once on some other thread... you pick a theme, my will most likely be themed like the carribbean beach resort (my favorite place to stay,) and I'll decorate and make some themed food, buy Disney Scene-It or something similar and have a Girls night with my best firends. :goodvibes

LOL, I'm not sure if that's a cure or just feeding the addiction. Hello, my name is Zuzu and I am addicted to Walt Disney World.
My DH just rolls his eyes each time I suggest we go again, just ONE more time.
